@Doneyear It was Cory Gray. Shannon Lucas, in my opinion, is a better drummer, but I still think their best stuff was still with Cory. But listen to the newer songs' drum parts, their fucking insane. Shannon's on Noctournal and Deflorate.

@Doneyear Flies is great. It's probably my favorite bdm song to play. Listen to black valor. It has some parts similar to this calling from when Shannon was still with All that Remains. I think the probelm with some of the newer stuff is the loss of "melodic" from "melodic death metal." But Cory did "A Vulgar Picture," which you gotta have the utmost respect for, that shit is probably the most intense song in stamina and technicallity ever.

@everyone that doesn't know what a triger is: It is a device that sends an impulse to whatever recording device it is plugged into. So everytime it senses a hit it sends an impulse. You can then go on and use a plug in or whatever and trigger a certain sound to come up everytime the snare(or whatever) is hit. You can also replace a miced snare with sounds, so it's technically the same. But in this case you can clearly hear the bleed from the cymbals on the snare hits. Ergo: Not "triggered"

@Morgorroth Also the correct ter mfor what oyu guys mean is "sound replacement". This is a common practice in the music industry, it is on pretty much every modern cd, becasue it is 1) easier to edit (humans are not machines so even the best drummer has some hits not 100% on time). 2)you have no "bleeding" from the cymbals, which makes it sound cleaner. 3) it's convenient. Now be quiet, he is an amazing drummer.

I like what u placed in the descrpition i think its exactly the attitude to have. i admit that more than often i tend to become aggravated when im having an off day (put plenty of holes in my wall xD) regardless i find that versatility is also a great concept to help improve playing ability as of this year i play jazz marching concert band im in a deathcore band on the weekends and im curruntly working with traditional grip and latin rythymns.
