While I agree that the mold, especially the altmode, fits better with Blades, every picture I saw of Blade's robotmode looked kind of ugly to me because of the toyish paintsheme. Springer on the other hand looks decent in both modes and the rotating blades on his forearm are a nice hommage to his original sword.

Cool Review! I'm really growing to this figure and will get it at ebay, I think.

The Warbot Defender Version might be the better one, being more G1 accurate, tripple changing and so on, this one here is the only spinger I know whose Altmode looks like an vehicle from present Earth, not complete realistic but also not sci fi. G1 accurate or not, this is a great plus for me + he is a lot cheaper to get then Warbot + he transforms more easily and faster. So this is my favourite.

I love your review. Great coverage. Do you have a review of the original G1 Springer? If you do, I guess I couldnt find it. Your G1 reviews take me back to the glory days long gone. Keep em comin, and I'll keep watching.

This is a good figure, but Its GREATLY unfortunate that they couldn't release a triple-changer version. That's the only thing that kills it for me.

Oh, and BoulderNumber3 isn't the only one experiencing that audio problem. There's gotta be a way to fix it...

i was also thinking his head looked very much like kup. If they ever reuse that head in a kup toy i won't be complaining. At least hes got somewhere to store the key in robot mode.
