It's easy to judge drug addiction when you've never been affected. Corey was smoking crack by 16 thanks to being exposed to Hollywood so young. The odds are not in your favor to not end up an addict if you're hitting a crack pipe that young. He would have been surrounded with drugs every where he went and people who only cared about what he could do for them. The only way to save him would've been to get him out of Hollywood. RIP Corey and he was right Lost Boys 2 sucked shit.
Not to mention, if you had watched "the 2 Corey's" - Haim addresses his sexual abuse that was very well known by Feldman at that time, which is what led Haim to his drug usage. When you're a child star, and you are hurt this way by someone, it's completely understandable to bury yourself in drugs to forget/ease the pain so you can get on with your life and continue to be the star you are. He just never got over it and ended up addicted to the drugs that he used as his crutch. So sad. RIP Corey<3

Corey's honesty on his opinion of "Lost Boys 2" is very genuine and honest. It did suck and if I were Corey I would have skipped on the project, however, it looked like he needed He was a true talent and Hollywood ignored him due to his personal demons. I was a big fan of his 80's films and it's a shame that his life was cut short due to drugs and a weakened immune system that was a result of his drug use. R.I.P. Corey.

It's easy to judge drug addiction when you've never been affected. Corey was smoking crack by 16 thanks to being exposed to Hollywood so young. The odds are not in your favor to not end up an addict if you're hitting a crack pipe that young. He would have been surrounded with drugs every where he went and people who only cared about what he could do for them. The only way to save him would've been to get him out of Hollywood. RIP Corey and he was right Lost Boys 2 sucked shit.

Not to mention, if you had watched "the 2 Corey's" - Haim addresses his sexual abuse that was very well known by Feldman at that time, which is what led Haim to his drug usage. When you're a child star, and you are hurt this way by someone, it's completely understandable to bury yourself in drugs to forget/ease the pain so you can get on with your life and continue to be the star you are. He just never got over it and ended up addicted to the drugs that he used as his crutch. So sad. RIP Corey<3

Sad about Haim's passing, he was only 38. It wasn't entirely unexpected as he's had a serious drug problem for years and the Two Coreys showed a small glimpse of how bad it was.
Once upon a time Haim was a good actor, maybe if he'd been able to get clean and stay clean he could have had a regular, steady acting career and been in movies that weren't straight to DVD.

How absolutely pathetic. It seems that what he might have needed most would have been what often fails: the geographic cure, albeit with intensive support around his need to accept that his relevance to anything Hollywood was completely over. At the end, he was only a laughing stock by the bottom feeders in the industry, and that includes the very exploitive Feldman.

@spagandtuna, I agree with most of what you said, but I don't believe Feldman was exploitive of Haim. In fact, I think he gave him more chances than most people would in a similar situation. Haim's career status may look pathetic to us on the outside, but I think he kept trying because he really believed he would one day turn things around. But you're right on the money. It was never going to happen. He needed to accept that, make a career change, and geographically get far away from Hollywood.

You might be right. Haim's own (mis)perception of his Holywood cache might have repeatedly led him to believe he could make a comeback. As for Feldman, please replay interviews, etc. and listen for various narcissistic comments, e.g., calling Haim a "legend" seems to make sense only in the context of how such a comment might reflect back on him. Well, if he is, what about me? His interviews are full of stuff that suggests a very fragile ego and that's the source of the potential for exploitation

Corey's honesty on his opinion of "Lost Boys 2" is very genuine and honest. It did suck and if I were Corey I would have skipped on the project, however, it looked like he needed He was a true talent and Hollywood ignored him due to his personal demons. I was a big fan of his 80's films and it's a shame that his life was cut short due to drugs and a weakened immune system that was a result of his drug use. R.I.P. Corey.

Corey Haim was a great fellow who got all the bad cards, the worst one was to be that attractive that Hollywood would need all of him before it was satisfied, child protection, I don't see any.
