i have finished my contract with orange 24mth, got the iphone from apple, i have seen a good deal with three, but my phone is lock to orange? called orange they chargin me £40 to unlock. anyway round it???

I'm on a £20 a month contract with an HTC Wildfire which still has one more year left after August - but the Wildfire is unresponsive and just generally, not a good phone! Would I be able to buy an iPhone 4 and get a micro-sim version of my current sim with my contract on to put into the iPhone?
