about 3500 for a nice ls1 and t56 transmission but I'd go for a ls4 because you can get those for between $250-500 its a 5.3 rather than 5.7 but its an iron block and you can add 100+ hp with just a cam swap in that motor, make over 450hp with just bolt ons!!
Search ebay, It really depends on year model, mileage, and trans {auto or manual auto is cheaper.}
