The LDS (mormon) church is not in competition with any other church, It teaches its message of the restoration of the gospel and allows men and women to choose which church they join. The RC church has been around since the Emperor Constantine (300AD). The Church of Jesus Christ was around before then ( till around 100AD) but was only restored in 1830. There has been no revelation since that last one given to Brigham Young. Not one of the recent prophets have said "Thus saith the Lord". It's a warm and fuzzy concept in the Church that it has revelation but the fact is we have Presidents of the Church and not prophets. God chooses his prophet - no 12 men can lay their hand on a man's head and make him a prophet - only God can do that.
Reason why He hasn't chosen them? They are business men and engage in Bablyon-Can't serve both mammon & God.
what kind of prophey are you looking for? a prophet role is not only to prophecy but to be a witness of God. How often does the prophet of old prophesied? How often does the apostles prophesied? Isn't it most of the time they go around preaching the gospel instead? Prophecy comes when God is planning to do something & tried to get the people ready for it...so, for now, the Pres./apostle are busy getting the world ready for His coming by ensuring the gospel to preach to all men.
Can't you tell? Do you know the difference between prophetic revelation and a bunch of conference talks? Take a look at the revelations given to Joseph Smith and one to Brigham Young. There has been none since their time. Do you know the one and only requirement for an apostle? It is to see and feel the prints in the hands of Christ. That makes an apostle. None of these guys have claimed to have seen him hence they are not apostles and their testimony isn't any more valid then yours or mine.
Again...what kind of prophesy are you looking for? Besides, what make you so sure they have or haven't seen & felt the prints in the hands of Christ? Will you base on your faith on God through these things to keep you going? If yes, then, I would suggest request an audience w/ the President/prophet/apostle & ask them personally,they are the only ones that could truly answer your question. As for my testimony, I have my own validation & it has nothing to do w/ the way you claim it should be done.
This one is simple. None of them have testified that they have seen him which is a requirement for an Apostle. Faust before he died admitted in one of his talks that he was sure that the Lord knew that he lives. In other words he hadn't seen him. What kind of prophesy? When the Lord gives a revelation to a true prophet the Lord signs it and affirms the revelation. There has been none of that since the last one to BY. The truth, as stated on other comments here, is that these guys have tons of time to read all the economic, political, and science journals of the day, so they were very well informed about the military's soon-to-be public method of communication that existed in the 60's. The LDS (mormon) church is not in competition with any other church, It teaches its message of the restoration of the gospel and allows men and women to choose which church they join. The RC church has been around since the Emperor Constantine (300AD). The Church of Jesus Christ was around before then ( till around 100AD) but was only restored in 1830. Catholics don't have Apostles. They have Cardinals

They had three kids, two of whom eventually recieved baptism in the Roman Catholic Church and one who recieved baptism in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The one who was baptised LDS is my father and we love all of our family the same; we understand the Roman Catholic faith and we respect it, even if we don't agree totally with it.

There has been no revelation since that last one given to Brigham Young. Not one of the recent prophets have said "Thus saith the Lord". It's a warm and fuzzy concept in the Church that it has revelation but the fact is we have Presidents of the Church and not prophets. God chooses his prophet - no 12 men can lay their hand on a man's head and make him a prophet - only God can do that.

what kind of prophey are you looking for? a prophet role is not only to prophecy but to be a witness of God. How often does the prophet of old prophesied? How often does the apostles prophesied? Isn't it most of the time they go around preaching the gospel instead? Prophecy comes when God is planning to do something & tried to get the people ready for it...so, for now, the Pres./apostle are busy getting the world ready for His coming by ensuring the gospel to preach to all men.

There has been none since their time. Do you know the one and only requirement for an apostle? It is to see and feel the prints in the hands of Christ. That makes an apostle. None of these guys have claimed to have seen him hence they are not apostles and their testimony isn't any more valid then yours or mine.

This one is simple. None of them have testified that they have seen him which is a requirement for an Apostle. Faust before he died admitted in one of his talks that he was sure that the Lord knew that he lives. In other words he hadn't seen him. What kind of prophesy? When the Lord gives a revelation to a true prophet the Lord signs it and affirms the revelation. There has been none of that since the last one to BY. Don't need an audience because by their silence the answer is obvious.

But regardless I've laid out the fact that there has been no revelation in this Church since the last one to BY. None - You can't point to one in which the Lord spoke to any of these guys. They shall be judged first, their works, their deeds. From there also, shall the keys of this dispensation be committed back to Adam. The drink in Isa 28 is the wine of bablyon. They are business men (very worldly). Isa 29:9. Procrastinate, and become bewildered; preoccupy yourselves, until you cry for help. Be drunk, but not with wine; stagger, but not from strong drink.

then know if what the leader has said if from God or he just made up...that is one thing most of the LDS & other non members don't understand, everyone has the agency to know the truth for themselves by asking God. James 1:5..like you, I have hard time in explaining a lot of things because of the limited space available, I have also read/watched/viewed almost every anti-mormon;on apostasy..yet.I know for certain what is true or false for the simple reason, I go to God whenever I need wisdom

Okay - what am I looking for: Leaders in which the signs follow. What signs? read the NT for your clues. Revelation as given through the prophet JS not opinion as given in conference. The Church has changed alot from the time of JS I consider those changes apostasy: 1 changes in the temple ordinances (except bap), 2 violation of the 2nd commandment in the images (Christus). 3. giving the priesthood to the blacks without revelation (it was Jimmy Carter who forced SWK to do that. 4. acceptance

One more scripture that describes our seers from Isaiah. Those signs I was discussing (NT) are signs to recognize the apostles - Anciently and at the time of JS you could, but not now.
Isa 56:10-11 Their watchmen are altogether blind and unaware; all of them are but dumb watchdogs unable to bark, lolling seers fond of slumber.
