I watched it for 28 years. None of these people were on here when I began watching it. Maybe Vanessa was I can't really remember Those were the Nola years.
I am going to miss Guiding Light! I watched it since I was a little girl with my mom and it was always the highlight of my day to know "What's going to happen next?, Who's going to end up with who?, who will the next villian in the series be?" etc. So many wonderful storylines!
Thank-you for posting this. I don't even own a TV these days so I appreciate being able to watch the final episode of this historic show. This was my Grandmother's favorite and my first television memories are of Guiding Light back in the mid-70's.
I watched Guiding Light for years and years but had not seen it regularly for the last 9 years. I had to tune in and see the finale. I was so pleased that a lot of the old characters returned for the end. The only thing I did not care for was the change in filming style from on set to location kinda reality look to the show. It was like watching the characters with out the same feel and power they had its hard to explain.
us through 17,762 days when we needed entertainment to enlighten our day, forget
the rest of the world, jump to springfield and see what everyone was up to, we saw everything, from weddings to funerals and any important issue that needed attention, well it got it on this show. this show served several generations and always had its dedicated fans, whether you're 80 or 8, you can say you experienced The Guiding Light. Thank You and God Bless You All.
Words can't describe what a great ending to an even greater show it was! Josh-Reva, Rick-Mindy, Philip-Beth, Alex-Fletcher, Frank-Blake...... and NOOOOOOOO Jeffrey teh Rapist! Woo Hoo! GOOO Reva and Josh, ALWAYS!!
Is someone know what is the event for tomorow (19sept) every body talks about something special for tomorow for the fans, even CC mention it but what is it and when and where????????????
did anyone notice that the logo shown at 8 seconds was from a home video release of the show??? You can see MCC which is Movie Craft home video plain as day in the lower right hand corner. They even skipped the opening that preceded the light through the trees opening. GRRRRRRRRR!!!

It was weird though they didn't say anything else about the whole Jeffrey & Edmund thing though.

Wonderful episode, a great way to end such a special show. I especially loved the beginning with the logos.

I agree with vinster79. Great opening. I was hoping for an equally great ending - kinda like how they ended the show when Maureen died.
