Just a quick idea: I think that making Quickdraw JC-able was a fantastic idea and should open up tons of possibilities. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work very well from what I've seen so far. So here's my suggestion: Quickdraw can't hit foes anymore. Not only would this seriously help Ike's approach, it give him a semi-usable horizontal recovery (right now you can just jump in front of him to completely kill his horizontal recovery. I mean, Aether is already plain awful for recovery.
gah, I want Link to ACTUALLY be able to do that with his clawshot, now it looks like its just gonna be *jump* "EHHHYAAAA!!!" *opponent meteor smashes* "NAAAAHHH!!!".
idk... that still seems rather situational and unreliable. For any Link player to succeed in high level play in Melee, he needed to make good use of his tether, otherwise he was just easy bait for edgeguarding. The hookshot allowed him to stop a fair distance from the stage where most characters couldn't reach him, and smoothly recovery, he needs something like that. Actually, is it possible to make it so that tethers can't be edgehogged? I'd be okay with that.

@nahor88 well, you can AGT into the pillar, and if you save your jump you can jumptech the AGT bomb toss and DJ up and upB and you should be good
