I remember this band for their big hit "Rawhide", but other than that it was The Ventures and The Tornados that got most of the attention when it comes to instrumentals. Thx4 postin'
The only instrumental I remeber Link Wray for is "Rumble" & even then it's definetly not on of the most memorable instrumentals to hail out of the doowop era. Duane Eddy was a favorite of mine just behind the Tornados, who had many top 10 hits instrumentals abroad and only a couple here. Their biggest & most memorable being Telstar. No, Link Wray & his Wraymen just didn't cut it here in Vancouver Cda but then neither did Rockabilly...so don't fret!.
Thanks, I had not heard this. Met Link in Washington area around 1961, and my bands always played many of his hits. Don't know about you, but I sure hear Link's influence on Keith Richards, and many others too.
damn it Link, you make me question my current state. I'm gonna drop out of college-useless degree--and travel this stinking country as a one man band.
@mongoloid170 Why? Jesus is dead and Chuck Norris it's just an actor. But if the soundtrack is made by Link Wray, stills being the most ultimate thing in the world.

I seen Link wray tweive when he played The Horseshoe in Toronto and he was quite a showman. He's the original godfather of Grunge.
