I cannot for the life of me figure out why she mounts her cymbals that way. If it's a goose-neck stand sure, but a boom-stand? I'd be terrified that the threads would give under the weight and the cymbals would fall onto the kit! But hey! Obviously it's worked for her!

@dbaerg I can't even trust my hihat stand if I leave it open for too long. It has a tenancy to fall mid-set and it is only a 14". Her cymbals look heavy too.

SAheila E. has always been talented 4rm the start because her father is talented also. I't's in the genes,but c'mon we would've not known who she was if it wasn't 4 PRINCE! Thank u Prince 4 letting the whole world know about this woman. U ALWAYS CHOOSE either the prettiest or the most talented ppl u can find. In Sheila E.'s case she's both beautiful & talented.

Yes I know!!! They used to jam on sundays at PALMA CIEA PARK back in the 70's (Hayward,Ca) Sheila,Pete,& her uncle "coke".

@terrorizerr1 YES! WIKIPEDIA is a great resource to cross-check things. I have seen her on YOUTUBE with her dad Pete ESCOVEDO and Tito PUENTE doing an amazing conga trio. I think Tito PUENTE and Pete ESCOVEDO were related (by family blood or alliance?). That's what I heard anyway. ESCOVEDO is synonimous with talent.
