Hi, this is the amp I wanted 21 years ago! I tried one in a shop and returned the next day to buy it but it had been sold! I made do with the smaller Super Champ, which was actually more expensive. Still, I can't complain, the Super Champ is still going strong after 21 years! Nice playing by the way.
Wonderful playing and tone my friend! I have had a Princeton Reverb II since '83- it's in mint condition and has a Celestion Vintage 30. Have the foot pedal. Paul Revera did it right!
Thanks! I'm afraid to quit my day job though. I did start playing Country-Rock in a couple of bands right after this posting. That kind of answers why this is only one of several postings. I haven't had the time. Playing in a band with a real singer is great but detracts from time I used to put into these kind of originals. Thanks again, Cris
I have a pair of 80's Fender Concert II amps. They sound like that too but I can never seem to get them sounding that good without cranking them too loud. I bought them to run clean in stereo with pedals and stuff.
I had a PRII long ago, it never sound that nice!! Very fluid playing by the way. So the amp and the guitar are stock? How about effects?? I'm looking at getting (or making) a BF Princeton or a BF Champ. Can't decide yet, I don't need the extra watts but I'm afraid a champ won't sound as full.
Nice... nice expression of the best characteristics of both the guitar and amp you are playing. Knofler-esque for sure, but also very nice in its own right. Nicely done!
Thanks! It's original. And yes I kind of found myself going for a Knopfler type of tone because the PRII and a Strat really sound that way right out of the box. I first recorded a loop with my Les Paul playing the background rhythm along to a drum patch. Then soloed over the top of it.
very nice.

Great amp, I have one too, with an Eminence Red white and blues speaker in it.

I really like this piece - I've played it a few times now. What's the chord progression?
Cheers

Incredible tone, great phrasing -- really musical. You need to quit your day job.

Fantastic tone!!! Could you put that on tab for me? Just kidding about the tab, but I would like it.

Yes the guitar is stock with the exception of a Veteran 30 clone speaker in the PRII.

What year is your strat and pickups are you using?
Sound great, thanks.

The Strat is a 1990. I'm sure the pickups are stock.

Would you post more song. I have the same amp but different strat, just can't play like you.
Thanks

I might post something else soon. Might be with a different rig though.

Incredible tone! very Knopfler-esqe.
Is that an original piece?
If not, artist and title? love the piece.
I found this looking for Princeton Reverb clips, as I am contemplating buying one.
