For those who still don't understand why Roxas said what he said to Xion when she died, Roxas's definition of Friend was someone who has icecream with him. You can find it on day 14 in the game.
So at that point of the game, Xion was his only friend since he felt that he couldn't trust Alex anymore. So when she died, he no longer has a friend aka person to eat icecream with.

Everytime I listen to this, I can hold back the tears that want to pour. This song just breaks my heart a bit, but it's so pretty, but sometimes, it hurts to listen to it.

Fans had waited since 2006 for a new KH game, and finally in September 2009 we got this. Only a year later we got BBS, and then a few months after that Re:coded. Shion's not coming back. She's already where she belongs, as a part of Sora. She'll get closure, there's no doubt about that, but she can't leave Sora. The fact that she was ever seperated from him to begin with was a big reason why Sora was asleep for a year.

You know how people complain that Xion died and Roxas goes back to Sora and they all wanted to be somebodies. Well think about it. Say they both are somebodies but who will get Sora's heart? Roxas and Xion are connected to Sora but they both cant have the same heart. Two Nobodies. One Heart. I think that's the reason Xion has to die and Roxas goes back to Sora.

Haven't played 358/2. Is it pronounced "Cksion" ("X" sound), "Zion" (like Xemnas and Xigbar), "Zhion" (I dunno), or "Shion" (like a certain unstable Sonozaki)?
@MrEh Tthe romanization seems to indicate that and it's likely to be so. I recently this year believe that Xigbar is pronounced "Shigbar". That's a conjecture but it does have a better ring to it.
@DKN117 It's pronounced Shion. This is because Shio in Japanese means Tide, which connects her to kairi and Namine's name scheme of water, and 'Shion' has tied to the name of a flower in Japan that means remembrance.
I didn't even like Xion, until I heard her theme, I changed my mind quickly. Her story was so sad. Nobody remembers her, she truly stoped existing. I know she was a part of Sora, but so was Roxas and we hear about him in KH2, but Xion nothing.

It really suits her, for someone who's life was nothing but just...there. She deserves to know what 'love' is and experience happiness. Her song reminds me of all of those that I were closed to that have passed away. You have a moment to grieve over your lost ones, but then, you have to move on, because you know you'll meet them again. Whether in your dreams or when its your turn...

@MrEh Tthe romanization seems to indicate that and it's likely to be so. I recently this year believe that Xigbar is pronounced "Shigbar". That's a conjecture but it does have a better ring to it.

I didn't even like Xion, until I heard her theme, I changed my mind quickly. Her story was so sad. Nobody remembers her, she truly stoped existing. I know she was a part of Sora, but so was Roxas and we hear about him in KH2, but Xion nothing.

@bobstepheles Dirge of the fourteenth put into other words is “Mournful song of Xion, “Vector to the heavens" means “strait path to heaven” this would be the song played n the final cutscene, where xion fades into the light, this should be called dirge of the fourteenth, the fast paced and more energetic version could be called “Vector to the heavens"

It really suits her, for someone who's life was nothing but just...there. She deserves to know what 'love' is and experience happiness. Her song reminds me of all of those that I were closed to that have passed away. You have a moment to grieve over your lost ones, but then, you have to move on, because you know you'll meet them again. Whether in your dreams or when its your turn...

This song is so beautiful. Every time I hear it, I can't help but think of Xion's final moments when Roxas was holding her in his arms. I keep hearing Roxas say "Xion, who else will I have ice cream with?" I always cry at that (and not from laughter like some people)!! And I think of the sad life she had. I just hope she can be saved in the next game. If anyone deserves a second chance at life, it's her...

@Atea1793 what is truly sad is that its not really possible to save because every ounce of her existence was built upon Sora's memories, and when the memories were returned there wasn't anything left to bring her back. in order to "bring her back" Sora would have to willingly give up his memories, but then everyone would forget about him, which Xion wouldn't let happen, she would just go back to Namine and ask her to give him back his memories again... ='(
