mgmt has some pretty good music. i don't know exactly how they're relevant to spacemen 3 but you should really delve into mgmt before you make judgements on them. not saying they're any better than spacemen 3, i think spacemen 3 is great. but i think you guys are ignorant to not diversify your music tastes.

When I was 13 I found out about the Replacements, the Meat Puppets, and Sonic Youth because of Kurt Cobain. Who cares if MGMT fans check out Spacemen 3 because of them? The point is they checked them out. I fail to see how anyone getting into an awesome band for any reason is ever a BAD thing. No one is born knowing about every band, everyone has to learn at some point.

that's just bullshit though isn't it. I saw Spacemen 3 many, many times. They were mates with mates of mine in The Perfect Disaster. good, good times. But back then people would hark back to the 70s, or 60s. Rose Tinted SpectacleSyndrome. There's shedloads of good music out there now... it may not be in the charts and of course no Indie Ghetto charts these days. But it's there.
