what red thing? I assume you mean the pressure plug that screws inside the barrel, it has a small hole?This plug comes with the larger guns with heavier slides, it produces more pressure inside the gun so the slide will move back and eject the shell. removing this plug will cause your gun to not eject and load a new round. and its louder with it in than out...

Movie-quality blank guns are pinched at the chamber end of the barrel to allow the pressure to stay high enough to cycle the action. Assuming your gun is even chambered in the exact same caliber as a live round, there's nowhere for the bullet or high-speed gasses to go. Cue finger loss.

you would not even be able to get a bullet in the mag or fit it in the chamber and close the slide...it does not take 'lots of mods" to convert it. All thats needed is to remove the barel plug, drill it out hell even a small round file will work, and jb weld a .25 acp barel into it. anyone can buy a .25 acp barrel. a lathe would make your life easier but is not needed. I have a couple blank guns and have studied them, i could convert them overnight

Well some make of B,Gun's do have a problem with feeding the blanks.But my 2 gun's work very well.You have to keep them clean and oiled for them to work. my Glock will jam if i don't clean it.But the Beretta keeps on going even after 100 rounds or more.
