Wow, do I remember THAT one. "My husband and my uncle, who make the wine..." I remember a later commercial where she said something like "Please buy Madria Madria Sangria so I can stop making these commercials." This is real time capsule stuff...thank you very much for posting!
Thanks for posting this, I am still looking for the 1973 version "Come on over, we are serving Madria Madria Sangria... my family makes it in California"... LOL, allot of us latter boomers couldn't get it out of our heads, it ran on every friggin channel, 24/7 for like 12 years, LOL... Thanks again!
@bertskoi TOTALLY! "Come on over, we're having a party!" I've been looking for it, too. The town across the river from my hometown had (still has) a giant wall with COME ON OVER on it. I used to think it was a sangria advertisement! :)
@KattyEyesss "Come on over; we are serving - 'Madria Madria Sangria' !"... "My family makes it in California..." I believe those were the exact lines...1973 was when it intro'd, if my 9 year old mind @ the time was processing correctly. I think the most prodigious, overly analytical Danny Partridge latter boomer types,
@KattyEyesss Pt. 2: ,(which perhaps U fall under the same category as myself) have a keen sense of where when & why w/regards to these ads - ball & chained 2 our collective subconcienses with youtube @ an only outlet for breaking the curiousity/nostalgia [actually ALL the boomers are, 1946-1963.5]

It was Joseph Gallo's wife, Ofelia Gallo, who was born in Nicaragua did the ad.
I know this response is late, but I just came across this video.
