To get in on this conversation, I think Millencolin have obviously matured but in such a respectable way. They are great songwriters and Machine 15 is no exception. It strays from the normal skate punk but in my eyes great songs are hooky and really stick with you after hearing them and that's a predominant chunk of Machine 15 to me.

I thought Kingwood wasnt their best work. Machine 15 slowly grew on me but my their best albums are Pennybridge, Home From Home, Life On a Plate and For Monkeys.

Well I sort of do. Bloodhound Gang and Millencolin are some of thoose bands.

Someone said(dont remember who) that one dif between "boys" and "girls" when it comes to music is that "girls" dont tend to stick to a band. But if a "boy" likes a group in the younger ages hell stick whit that group till adaulthood.

Millencolin isn't always going to sound like you want them to..Deal with them improvising, because they always come through whenever you go and see them live no matter what album sucked..I'll always stand tall for the "M" flag...

millencolin has developed over the years. LOAP will always be my favorite record by them, but their sound is definitely unique and fun.

Umm.. Millencolin has been around since 1993 or maybe even earlier. They have been popular in europe, havent been nearly as big in Canada or USA. Frankly I think this album blows compared to the prior Kingwood, and before that Home From Home. Plus the old school Same Old Tunes (tiny tunes) was awesome

I've been a Millencolin-fan since like '99 and I really love these guys! But I hate the fact that this album, with exeptions, is their worst production ever! Compare this album with oldies like "Looney Tunes" and "Life on a plate", and it's like two different bands! Some of you may call it "developing" or "trying new stuff", and Im not against that, it's just that it has gone too far, and they are trying too hard! Millencolin doesn't have to prove anything, they will allways be my heroes!

I dont't hate you, everybody have diffrent opinions. I really hate people that don't accept others opinions.

But anyway, I don't agree with you.

Millencolin will always be the same band for me, what ever they do. Sure, it is absolutely not the same "sound" as before, but i like it.

But in the end, it is a question about taste.

And for the Millencolin fans, they don't have to prove anything. But for the media (at least the swedish media), they want to prove that they are really good musicans. I think that it was Erik that said this before Machine15 realese:

"We don't want people to see us like young snotty skatekids"

They want to be recognised as good musicans, that can do other things than just punk.

And of course, they (Millecolin) have not the same taste anymore, as before.

Thats a valid point too, as they have grown up alot since thier origional recordings. I mean its fifteen plus years later. I don't listen to the same stuff as 15 years ago, so why should they wanna make the same stuff again.
