gentle gentle easy easy....am still a noob, and common sense tells me not to run before i can walk...but hey oh thats the nature of this hobby build fly crash build
there was a boomstrike, it was caused because you landed noe doun and then you were gining back elevator input and the training gear made the boom jump, so it hit the blades. keep training, just be more gentle on inputs and landings.
I know why you crashed... You have a Huge Hoop on the botom of your heli!!! Go buy a flight sim program to learn the basics. If you can fly using a simulator you will be able to fly without that silly training gear. You will also save some money.
i absolutely agree. with a sim i've seen a friend learn to fly a small electric on the first battery, hovering rock solid. i learnt the hard way. 3months to hover.
okay so do hover trainning for awhile and use small movements while flying low. And remove the trainning hoop because wen u flying foward the hoop may go down into ground
A bit more hovering practise first then remove the training stablizer before you attempt foward flight as it will only make it more difficult to control.
They are rubber bushings in the head that the spindle goes through and harder ones reduces the chance of a boom strike but makes it more responsive when trying to hover.
I have an R50 Titan myself and have hovered 4-5 times. Did you not check your head before your flight? I was told and I do now to give everything a good tug to make sure nothing is going to come off. Oh, and use loctite! I forgot to put loctite on my head and my mixing arm came up as my instructor was about to take off. Almost crashed because of that. Use loctite and check EVERYTHING before you fly.
I just got this thing out to try it out again since I have been flying the trex se all winter and it lifted off and got about ten feet then just blew apart. The engine was still running but the whole head blew off it. The boom is bent. It was practically brand new. Well, I am done this year finacially so I am gonna fly the rex and am pretty well screwed. Oh well what ya do.
use a sim like reflex b4 u go flying a raptor i have and mine was good. well until i bought a gyro from ebay, told it was prefect. was it fuck lol. crashed on 3rd flight. but now sold. if ur thinking of selling raptor ill have it.
as soon as could hover 3feet with training gear i was told to get em off straight away . the gear is there to prevent tip overs and to practice take off/landing.they r no good for flying. when ya can take off and land, get em off!
just been doin the same with my raptor but more hovering really. but when i go into forward flight i will fly higher. thats wot i would recommend to u. but good luck next time.
Hahaha.....STILL FUNNY!!!! You knew there was going to be a crash right when you saw the video.

Rotor blades too lose and you probably have negative pitch.

That tail boom is always is in the way. Buy a align 450 clone, there like 30bucks minus electonics & motor.

Oh please... these are great for training... a bit pricey when you crash, but more stable than a 450 or something. Stop giving him crap already.

u still should probably work on your hovering to
gitrdone57 3 years ago
owch, that was a lot of carnage from what looked like a small hit. i think the training/landing gear was a little bit too small for the heli.

Get some hard dampers to replace the stock ones!! That way you can land a rough as you want without fear of another boom strike.
ZXXpilot 4 years ago
what are dampers?

you should get that thing at least 20 or 30 feet in the air its alot easyer to recover from that high. keep up the good work!
