i told my dad and he took it better than i could have ever imagined,i hid it inside for 15 years thinking that my father would probably disown me if i told him cos i was his little girl. but i have lived knowing im a boy inside. dressing and acting like one for as long as i can remember. my father even told me that he saw it coming and that he was still proud of me even after he found out... so anyone out there just go for it XD

Very powerful. The suicide statistic is so sad. Each person is a beautiful, creative, loving entity, with a wealth of gifts to offer the world. Each one has the same right and reason to be and to be themselves as the next person. The thought that we would lose one single person due to the ignorance and intolerance of others sickens me. Sad to say we do live in a close minded society that seems to be afraid to talk to or live or be *true* friends to those that are different. I happen to live with a transgender for my first time,and i have never seen nor talk to one in my life ever. It is more about looking at the soul inside then looking at the outside for me,so i accept her as my true friend. Great video and the trans are not alone and should not ever give up.

not sure, but suicide rates amongst trans is one of the highest by percentage, as i am more familiar with intersexed issues, technically I.S. People have the highest suicide rate, Trans have the highest successfull suicide rate. Chose more deadly ways to attempt suicide with.

This is beautiful, Casey. I was really saddened by the statement by the 18-year-old Transboy in the beginning who said he "disgusted" his mother, and that he "knew [he] was disgusting biologically..."

I understand (but personally don't accept) that people sometimes laugh at or make fun of others who are different as a defense mechanism to dealing with being uncomfortable. I don't understand the violence towards others who are different. I can not comprehend how a parent or loved one can turn there back on someone because of who they are or who they are trying to become. I know it happens, but I just cannot understand how a parent could disown a child for any reason. Great video by the way.
