I love the show. It might not even come close to the books but it's still 10 times better then a lot of the crap thats on TV now a days.

alright i know the books are very different then the show, but the show is still good. besides we all love the books because of richard and Kahlan, so who really cares what their doing as long as we have them. the book series is great, i won't lie, and the show is different but still good. people just need to open their eyes and allow themselves to be sucked into their world. it's not that bad

well, at least i tried to. had to stop after 30 min, coz i could not stand it anymore.

at least what richard says in the books makes sence. in the show, only bullshit comes out of hes mouth. i did my best to find something positiv in the show, and i must admit, the trailer looks very nice. but that s it.

Kahlan doesn't have the Book of Counted Shadows. From what I understand, and gathered since I had the same problem, it is a book of prophecy about the seeker.

I can get over DR Having dark hair. I think they did this to contrast it more for TV. Sadly, things do change when books are scripted. LOTR's did, and I noticed the changes there to. I like what I've seen so far, so I'm looking forward to it.

The book of counted shadows isn't of prophecy. It is a book of incantations. Richard did burn it though. Darken Rahl wants it to be able to bring some sort of beast into existence. Can't quite remember, i read WFR like 10 years ago.

I never said it was a book of prophecy. The book that Kahlan is HOLDING in the slight show of it is suppose to be a book of prophey about the seeker. They are both different books. I've read the series, myself, and I had a problem with her having the Book of Counted Shadows. However, I was informed that it is a different book. :)

Uhn *headbang* This has book disaster written all over it. It looks too disney like. The clouds and the pretty gold lettering in the promo does not help one bit. The characters look too young and too ...small. All I can think is "will this turn into another Eragon blowout?" The Goodkind books are not meant for TV. Maybe for the theater....R rated theater, but not for tv.

I can't decide whether or not I'm excited about this. I think the casting was done poorly; I always imagined Russell Crowe as Richard and Liv Tyler as Kahlen, but that's just me. We'll just have to wait and see how it turns out.

You all that are saying its bad are judging straight from the book and you cant do that the TV show is not going to be 100% like the book its impossible. The show will have more story and elements all under the supervision of Terry so just back off and quit judging. Also the cast is fine just give them a chance.

I know I shouldn't judge it before I've seen it..those are just my impressions. Looks very cheesy and low budget, very VERY poorly cast by all characters..

I will give it a chance and watch at least the first part or two..

i can say that it can be a good series. i was really not expecting that they can masterfully portray the book but as i can see in the trailer, they can do it. it gives me creeps seeing the sword of truth being handed to richard. btw, is the one with the arrow Chase? he looks asian.. overall rating, very good so far.

I really hope it turns out better than this trailer looks. It looks as they they are going in the direction of a cheesy sci-fi series, the characters they cast are all wrong at least appearance wise. That guy doesn't resemble Richards description whatsoever besides the brown hair. Seems like they cheaped out and it's going to be a big disappointment. Let's just hope for something better than a Hercules look alike. Of course it is ABC and Disney so they are bound to f**k it up.
