    He's right. You can see that the prop was not moving when they landed. If the engine was running, the prop blades will actually pitch forward when they dig into the ground. These props pitch are back against the engine cowling. They rotated when they came into contact with the ground as most fixed pitch props do. But with no engine torque to pull them forward, they simply fold back upon crash.
