Great Video...feel quite a connection to you especially due to the accent and your hair type. Most of the air-drying videos leave out the bit about continuing to add moisture and so I cannot wait to try that tip. Would love to email you if possible. Thanks for sharing!

I'm using the red clover (creme of nature) and organics tea tree moisturiser but I still find that my scalp is dry. Can you recommend any other moisturisers? Or a spray that keeps the hair moist?
@HealthyAfroHair Yes it is my hair and scalp. The ends of my hair seems more moist than my scalp, because I try to concentrate on this part more to prevent breakage.
@namiakimoto1 It's fine that your ends are more moist than your scalp, because it's the ends that break. But for your scalp, try using coconut oil and massaging your scalp nightly to help prevent dryness.
@HealthyAfroHair Thank you I appreciate your advise. I was using coconut oil before but found it hard keeping up the regime. I'll continue using the coconut oil but i'm aware that there are different brands and was wondering whether you could recommend a specific brand?
I've been doing the hair growth thing for about 4 weeks i notice a difference of the way my hair feels... but how long on average does it take for you to notice about 2-3 inches of growth?
@celineandbrianna I must have missed your message as it doesn't show at the top of the page. Great to hear you have started your hair growth journey :) It's hard to say how long it will take you (as an individual) to notice 2-3 inches of growth. But based on the average person whose hair grows at a rate of half an inch a month, it would be about 4-6 months. In a year it's 6 inches. Also, great to hear you have purchased my book. I hope you find it useful! ;)
IHi missiz Gordeous hair...you just inspired me to start my own journey....could you tell me if I need any sort of braiding, weave on etc...as My scalp is very sore now...or I don't need any of this....I just took out my weave on and decided no mre of this...i want to let my har grow naturally...i believe that's what u did?
@TheAfrikanprincess Sorry I must have missed your message as it doesn't show at the top of the page. I wouldn't suggest you putting any weaves or braids in your hair with a sore scalp, as this will only irritate it further. It is possible to grow your hair without it like I did with mine and there are many different methods you can use. Have a look through my videos for tips to see how I maintain my hair.
Hey there! thanks for posting this video, I always had an issue leaving my hair to air dry, you make it seem so easy. I've bee roller setting my hair and sitting under the dryer. Quick question...do you wrap your hair at night before bed?
@kerrbearrhoden Your welcome! No, I never wrap my hair because I don't like the unnecessary combing and brushing you have to undergo to hold it in place. I also believe that doing this caused me a lot of hair thinning in the past. Instead, I tie my hair into a ponytail and moisturise the ends before wrapping 'the ends' in cling film or a small plastic food bag, leaving it on overnight. This helps to retain moisture to the ends of my hair, preventing it from drying out and breaking.
Hey hun,luv ur videos!!! Im also from england (north london) was lookin in my local hair shop for the argan oil leave in conditioner by creame of nature but couldnt find it :( looks really nice... What hair shop did u purchase urs in? X x
@anairb197 Unfortunately, I do not know what the correct age is, but it would be best to visit your local pharmacy to speak with the pharmacist about this. I'm sure they will be able to answer your question.
Hi I learned from another Youtuber to put a tight satin scarf on as your hair air drys and it really makes your hair look straighter. Try that next time. I love your hair. My hair doesnt seem to grow in the front but the back grows ok. Any advice?
@shavonaford I've actually tried that method before, but I don't like to apply any unnecessary stress or strain on my hair; i.e pulling or tightness, especially when it's wet. We regards to your hair not growing at the front, it could be possible that your hair naturally grows a lot slower in this area, as oppose to the back which grows faster. Is your hair constantly breaking at the front? as it could be that it's breaking just as fast as it's trying to grow.
Thank you for this video. You gave me some helpful advice, I am going to try remoisturizing my hair as it air dries to see if that makes a difference in softness. Also, do you wrap you hair in a scarf at night? I shampoo and condition at night so that I can wrap my hair, tie a scarf on then go to sleep. I think the heat from my scalp flattens my hair somewhat so when I wake up, the ends of my hair are slightly bumped.
I am so grateful for all your videos, especially this one, although your book describes it extremely well too it was great to see. It came at the perfect time as today was "hair washing" day and the end result was much better after watching this...thank you, once again!

@BBQueenism That's fantastic to hear that you have purchased and read my book and not only that, you got to see the visual side of what I described in my book. It also makes me really happy to hear that it has been helpful and helped you to achieve better results with your hair. Thanks for sharing :)
@90isandra I've only co-washed very few times, but yes I do think that it is good. This is because the ingredients in conditioners are less harsh on the hair than actual shampoos, but at the same time, using a conditioner doesn't make the hair as clean as using a shampoo would.
great technique! thanx for the vid! your hair looks nice & full! have u noticed your growth rate increasing since you've been pregnant? r u worried abt postpartum shedding? hhj! oh, how do u feel abt corrective relaxers?! i've thought about doing 1 bc i have texlaxed & bone straight hair so i have all these demarcation lines along my strands (hey i didn't do all of it myself! lol, my stylists did some under & over processing too, besides the texlax is more even now that i do it!).
@fanatic709 Thanks and your welcome! I didn't actually notice much of an increase since being pregnant and no, I'm not too concern about the shedding after pregnancy. With regards to corrective relaxers, I don't feel there is a need to do this. If your hair has not been properly relaxed the first time round, I would say to leave it until it's due again and ensure that's it's correctly done the second time round. Trying to correct it will only cause your hair more harm than good.
@HealthyAfroHair thanx for a reply! yeah i know that bone straight = over processed but there's ppl w/ long bone straight hair & it was making me envious.. plus i'm sick of coming across 3" pieces of breakage! i think this black tea leave in i'm using is helping but idk now that i'm taking my twists out i'll have to see. i guess i'll just wait it out & cut conservatively as it grows until my whole head is texlaxed. thanx, hhj!
Hi great video I do a lot of air drying my hair an my hair has improve and grown a lot . well most people oil there scalp what do you use to oil your scalp if any?
@Kimsalley21 Thank you! I apply oils only for massaging my scalp and that's it. I've been a bit lazy lately, but my hair can go without any oils for a long time.
Loved it! Julie should the Argan Oil Leave in be used weekly until it's time to touch up the relaxer again? Thank you for posting this I am off to buy the Argan oil Leave in.
@TaeTaeBell Your hair will always grow, it's just trying to avoid the breakage which makes our hair appear as though it's not growing. Out of the two options you gave; I would say it's best to flat iron your hair once every 2 weeks, as oppose to once a week. But be sure to follow up with the correct hair care methods to ensure your hair does not break, as heat can be drying. I only use heat once or twice every 2 months.
I noticed you've cut your hair. Looks nice.
