  • I watched this video before visiting the area and I almost changed my mind about going to the Skywalk because of it . I'm so pleased I didn't let the negative comments stop me from going because we LOVED it! Ok so it's not cheap but we have a memory that will last a lifetime, the views are breathtaking. If you're thinking of taking the trip then go and make your own mind up about whether you think it is worth the outlay.

  • OH MY GOSH Yes!!!!!! I wish i saw this before my trip there!!!! I felt like i was mugged at gun point by happy sunny indians!!! and the free meals you get with the tour was a joke!!!! really DONT GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dreaminmotion you are right . the skywalk is a big rip off. I should have watch your video before.

  • my fav part of the grand canyon is when i took a river raft ride in the colorado river. it was prety exciting. and us and all the Indians were making fun of all the asians that were there. We bonded =]

  • A more pitiful group of whiney cretins do not exist- If I was stuck in that RV with them, I would have grabbed the wheel and yanked at the edge of the Canyon! Talk about your "Ugly Americans"...Can you imagine spending ANY amount of time with these 3bitching losers? aagggh! Kill me NOW!

  • hey guys thanks for this video i been to the canyon, flew in helicopter, over hoover, landed in the canyon beside river, had lunch there, took some rocks home, took pictures all for a lot less money than you guys spent, and the wooden shelter we ate under wasn't so harsh on the environment than that piece of crap they've built. cant believe even native indians are becoming capitalist - I WILL NEVER visit this thing, and i used to want to!

  • Oh Dam jokes!

    Rape Jokes!

It's a tourist attraction you fucking city assholes....that's why they put it there to make money.

  • Get a rat to gnaw that mole of your cheek, and stay away from the canyon cali slut

  • they probably dont have enough space for parkingplaces :-D

  • 'I think we should apologise to all foreigners.'

I went to the skywalk, and it was my first time USA experience. As an European I can say you indeed should apologise to all foreigners for being American. If you openend you're eyes, or the shades on you're too large mobilehome, you'd seen all the poverty surrounding this area. The skywalk is just a way of making a living. And from a historical perspective, you made it this way. And all you can do is cry over the few bucks you spent.

  • So you have to pay all this F'n money for parking and walking on the damn thing but you cant take any pictures of shoot video!! GAY!!

  • Haha... it's called capitalism and there's a sucker born every minute... I actually think we got about $200 worth of whining. Thanks!

  • lazy cheep indians the could at least pave the road

  • perfect video , it shows logical reaction by average people . i would have loved to go there , but now i skip it , too bad , the canyon is a nice place to see i guess , but this business feels wrong. if they would like to help the indians , they should have gave the money the millions straight away to them in cash in stead of building a skywalk in their home . now people got angry because something is very wrong with that ... logical ... it doesn't belong there ,

  • The only entertaining thing about this video is deciding which is worse: A) Listening to the same "rip off" whine over and over, as if it will eventually be interesting B) Suffering 3 people who aren't 1/6 as clever or entertaining as they seem to think C) Repeated bitching about rules that they evidently couldn't be bothered to read (plenty of FAQ info on website) D) Thinking that EVENTUALLY this 10 minute turd would go somewhere Silver lining: I didn't have to suffer them in person
  • hottie!

  • THANK YOU for this video!!! Very enlightening. I will definitely stay away from the Skywalk and instead go to the other areas of the Grand Canyon where I can take pictures of its beauty. It's funny to see that all the "haters" of this video can barely spell, let alone put together a coherent thought. Then there's the ever-effective "FO" (appachewarrior) Nice one dude...did you learn that in school. wow.

Thanks for showing what a rip off this place is!

  • that is funny i thought the grand canyon was one of the natural wonders of the world.guess not.

  • Comment removed

  • actually im glad i watched this, i would get pissed after spending all that..just to walk through a small curve, with other people//and all that modern garbage destroying the natural beauty. I think i would just go some other section of the canyon, where it secluded and no greedy bastard money makers. Thanks for the vid, the people below are moaning because they are used to getting ripped off all their lives, these people phone in on shows like american idol, mind controlled idiots

  • hey sure did take alot of footage and pictures for it to be crap....

  • So I will bite....How did you get the 25 % off ?

  • you 3 are the reason american tourists are hated worldwide, including within the u.s. lose the condescending and self-rightous american tourist attitude. let me guess, youre from california right? do the rest of us appreciative travellers and campers a favor and stay home. if youre going to travel anywhere, do your research first and save everyone from the misfortune of eventually encountering you.

  • to all the people who bitched about this video, a few hundred dollars are not nickles and dimes, and this place is a dump. way to destroy natural beauty, and to think it was done by Asians and Indians. The local tribe is poor, but who gives a crap. Respect your own heritage and be self supportive. Stop depending on outside society. Get the F#^$ back in your tepees and be happy with slotmachines.

  • Injuns are the purest form of Americans. Respect their native ways of exploitation. Revel in their majestic casinos. Rejoice in the beauty of the land that God has created just for them. Then thank your lucky stars we managed to coral them into desolate areas of desert that can only support cactus and nuclear testing. Thank you for this video, and good luck on informing others on the classic bait and switch the conniving redskins use. You should have asked if they would take blankets in trade.

  • Wow.....what crappy attitudes you have. I hope you're not there when I visit..... City folks should just stay in the city - you're clueless.

  • Good thing I was warned. Here I was going to check this out. I've been to the other part of the Grand Canyon. The southern rim. It is cool on a Moonlight summer night. You could hear the Colorado river.

  • White man rip off Indian land. Now Indian rip off white peoples

  • Is this why people hate city people? Hmmmm.

  • Hey, if the skywalk keeps assholes like you away from the canyon.. then that is a good thing.

    WHATEVER WORKS!!!

  • This video that you guys made was crappy. IT would have been interesting to see you guys drive off the canyon cliff. You bunch of loosers!!! Don't diss the canyon..

  • TYPICAL SELFISH BRATT! Duh you dumb ass you are paying to improve this place if you were ganna cry around about your money, you shoulda left it up your ASS!

This is a beautiful place and you only made it look as ugly as your personality is in the video, if I were white i'd be embarassed!

You dont come to our home and hurt our ancesters with your STUPIDITY!

GOD FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO!

Proud member of the Hualapai Nation...

Oh yeah Thanx for your contribution!!!!!!!!!!

  • haha, ok I think they should charge $25,000 per visit, because as you say it is beautiful place and you should not complain if you've been charged too much, and you can't even do much. what happens to reasonable prices?

  • The gand canyon is an amazing place, when it's slow a thousand people a day visit and are very pleased. It might cost as much as you would spend sitting in a smokey casino all day, but instead you get to travel to one of the seven wonders of the world.

  • Grand Canyon is not one of the seven wonders if you mean the known seven wonders like the pyramids. though it is a special natural wonder that I love to visit for the third time.

  • if 1000 people a day walk the skywalk and pay the money , in another 423 years time or so the native american indians in the region may have been compensated fairly for being raped slaughtered and oppressed for so long

  • the humans destroy the beauty of the nature

  • by the way,no cameras and shoes because cameras could fall into the canyon. and shoes would mess up the walk, use your brains guys!

  • While I agree that they are charging an enormously unfair amount, you don't have to talk bad about the whole canyon. There is so much more than that one spot. So much more beauty. I went there on my honeymoon, before the walk was built, and had a great time. Sure, it's no amusement park, but at a canyon, what else do you expect to see? There is river rafting, burro rides, and alot more to see and do there.

  • what a rip off 50 bucks? 100 for parking? ill never step foot there!

  • I really am glad that you brought this to light! NO CAMERA'S?!?!? The native americans are getting back at the "white man" who fleeced them out of property years ago. Now they are screwing us. I bet "buzz" didn't have to pay and was able to bring a camera when he took the "first walk" across this. SHAME on this tribe for screwing people out of the beauty of the Grand Canyon!

  • 1. your mole is cute, yummy

    2. they're called Native Americans, not Indians

  • moles are disgusting

  • I was just kidding, lol

  • attention...the bitching was of course not about the beauty of the canyon, if you did not get the point , it was about the terrible situation that business people are trying to rip you off big time and let you pay an overdose fee , or you please leave the canyon. how welcome feels that ?

  • this video is so right, i went there yesterday , and i was also a victim of that extremely tourist rip-off crap money business. its feels so wrong when you arrive and see how they try to make money out of the nature.but there i found another road which gave me free acces to the canyon , go back about 6 miles from the west canyon airport and take the local road left to peach valley. from there its a 2 mile walk to the canyon , and nobody to see , specially no busines people begging for big bucks.

  • Thanks for showing it.

I would be really disappointed if they took my camera, AND charged 50 dollars for parking!

    I won´t go there...

  • thanx for saving me $147$ in gas..waiting for Yosemite Trip

  • What a bunch of self-centered conceited jerks.

  • FUCKIN HATERS!!!!!!!!!!

  • lost me after 20 seconds.....

  • I'm so glad these white trash Californians will not be coming back to visit the beauty of my back yard.

  • shh

  • Couldn't be bothered watching much of this. Sick of listening and watching you smart arsed self centred pricks. Stay home.

  • I have done quite a bit of reading on the Skywalk. Thanks for this video which confirms the negative feelings of so many others posted around the web. We won't be going.

Clear prices, posted up front and clean toilets are the absolute minimum I will accept. They miss even this standard.

It's really unfortunate it's turning out so very badly.

    And no cameras? Well, I'm a photographer . . .

no camera, no Skywalk for me. Actually, no West Canyon at all for me.

  • The reason why no cameras, it because of "photographers" like yourself, try to take pictures of the canyon. Then they get dropped. So if you have a small mind please stay home. I would pay any price to see beauty like that. Unfortunatly, you want to cry and whine about nickles and pennies!

  • Shame the Canyon Walk is turning out the way is becoming (no cameras is egregious, too). I doubt this part of the canyon is as inspiring as the central, east or north vantage points. But, that's commercialism biting people in the ass.

However, I have had incredible experiences there at the canyon. I will avoid the "Walk" since I can tell there are way better visuals that can be had for free.

  • I am pretty sure the Skywalk Experience would be nothing like that. I truly hope the Majesty of such a Beautiful spot does not get dwarfed by our need to commercialize everything we lay our hands on. You never know what you've got till you've lost it.

  • I hiked the Canyon Rim to Rim 20 years ago. When we walked through the restaurant and saw it for the first time, the Sun was Setting and it was quiet from the Awe it inspired. Simply a Breathtaking Experience for Me. Annie

  • WATCH their gas-guzzler; then CRINGE as they judge native American land use. MARVEL as they complain about unsightly port-a-potties compared to the joy of spit from tall buildings. LAUGH at their math skills.

APPLAUD the Hualapai for not letting them bring hard objects onto an easily-scratched glass structure. This clip does a better job than Borat to show entitled, idiotic, selfish Americans. Raise the prices. How much should people like these pay to see something that exists nowhere else?

  • I agree with you big time. What a pack of conceited pricks. And they have the camera faced AT them most of the time and crap on and on. Give us a break and leave the camera at home nxt time and don't bother sharing.

  • typical tourist trap...but the no cameras.thats just big time hurting.

  • these people r a bunch looser in high school...or hwo were loosers they were..u can tell..just look at dork guy talking and toro talking smack and that nasty old bitch in the back...hay!!!do me a favor dont come back.post wat u want but your thoughts dont mean shit...these people give white people a bad name..hay dum ass colledge punks..fuck off and dont come BACK!!!

  • they were actually very right, go there and see for yourself. its exactly like they informed you in their video , a tourist trap , all about money money . we dont mind to pay an OK 10 or 15 dollar, but it feels wrong to pay an overdose fee. it would have been more nice to give the people a choice to pay 30 for the skywalk , and entrance the canyon for free or 10 bucks.that was sure really cool.

  • An "overdose fee" ??

You sound like you know what you're talking about.

    :)

Here's the thing: It's like a Mercedes, or a Big Mac, or a video game or anything else: If you think the price is more than you want to pay, don't buy it.

But to buy it, and then cry that now you feel like you overpaid...um...do you really want strangers to

see you as a "victim" ?

  • they didn't have any fun because they missed the Grand Canyon Nightclub. Their idots; the restroom facilities at the Grand Canyon Starbucks are pristene. I can't beleive they didn't go to the rock concert held down by the canyon river.

  • I'm on my way to Arizona to see the Cal and Arizona State football game; was planning on driving to the Grand Canyon; after viewing your video I change my mind about visiting the canyon. Thank you for informing me.

  • these Mall Rats just don't get it but what da ya expect from a bunch from the burbs? Their choice of music reflect their commercial values. hahahaha, sad, shallow, and suburban.

  • Very helpful--will not be wasting a day of our upcoming Vegas vacation!

  • Next time, shine on the Sky Walk; get a 4x4 or a decent SUV, & go to Toroweap!

  • these people need to jump off the GRAND CANYON and then they won't owe the NATIVE AMERICANS!!!! anything.

As they claim that they don't owe INDIANS?! anything...... get it straight Native Americans. It's fine that you were PISS about the sky walk because you couldn't bring your precious camera over but to say you don't owe native american anything is plane stupid..... And yes you could be terriost.... you never know. RV or not.....

  • Admit it - you are undercover agents for some weird anti-tourism movement. Here's you guys doing a really bad segment on Travel Channel: Eiffel Tower <sucks...what time zone are we in?>...Great Wall of China <lame...what a ripoff>...Pyramids of Gaza (too commercial>...Niagra Falls <there's nothing I hate more than a huge waterfall..oh, except rainbows and kittens...I really hate rainbows and kittens>. How about a little whine with your travel?

  • Okayyyy you are the stupid IDIOTS!!!!! that don't know *hit!!!! that didn't do your research before going on your road trip... And note to self: it's the skywalk...... not the skywalker!!!

  • i made it through about a minute of this video and it was a rip off....do not waste your time....if you turn your volume all the way down maybe you could make it through two minutes

  • anyways, thanks for telling me !

  • dude, ure not the only one who feels bad, im goin lik 2 weeks and they took ure 3000 camera away! thats a freking food camera!! anyways, i will hate them cuz a)they took ure camera away for this freking 300 dollar shit b) this is real shit.

  • you should have jumped off. that woulda been an experience i would it. what dumbasses

  • You would have got your money's worth if you all would have jumped off the edge head first and I would have enjoyed going there to see the grease spots where you all landed.

  • so....why did you pay instead of turning back and go home if you didnt like it?

  • I went there last month but decided against paying to do the walk. Made a wise decision by the sound of it. Stick to the South Rim. At least the money goes into the Park Service and not some businessman's pocket.

  • Comment removed

  • Thats your own fault! you shoulda jumped off the skywalk then you woulda had a real experience!! stupid time doesnt change in arizona what a dumbass!

  • These major tourist attractions like the grand canyon and yosemite, they're all rip-offs. You basically pay a bunch of money to see a bunch of people taking pictures of adulterated 'natural wonders' from ugly buildings and structures. You're better off finding your own natural wonder - any quiet place away from civilization should do.

  • I visted the Skywalk in April... your video is spot on.... it is definitely a ripoff. Thankfully I got to visit the south rim, which made up for the mess and disappointment that the Skywalk trip was.

  • We're sorry to hear that you did not enjoy this experience, but are glad you posted this video because it is helping people make a more informed decision on whether or not to visit this area. I hope you get a chance to visit the National Park someday and wish you the best in your endeavors on behalf of the people of New Orleans.

  • We were told that you have to pay a $50.00 per person Trespass Fee plus a $25.00 per person fee to walk on the Sky Walk, not even talking about the 21 mile rocky dusty dirty narrow road. I hope this walk falls into the Grand Canyon, of course with no one on it.

  • you said it was a rip off but your dumb ass payed

  • i won't waste my time or money going here!!!!!

  • lol you gotta pay $50 to park cuz we all know how hard it is to find a parking spot in the desert. by the way...what happened with the RV at the end?
