Wyoming is, and always has been a "fence out" state, meaning that if you don't want someone's cattle grazing your land, it's your responsibility to fence them out. That means there are cattle grazing all over unfenced areas of the state. That said, it's likely that you were driving through someone's ranch. There may have even been a cattle guard and a big sign saying "loose stock." If they were "wild [feral] cattle," they wouldn't have brands or tags in their ears.
That looks like Hwy 14a east of Cody, Wy. If it was east of Lovell then that is a farm I am hoping to own by spring. The farm is over 178,000 acres of open range land. Beautiful video.

im sure u saw tons of buffalo..my dog gotr in kind of a scuffle with a buffalo last time i was there..the buffalo basically just lowered his head and head butted him, and my dog took off..
