  • Duncan would of easily been playing to the early 70's with the talent he had. I he would been on that 1966 England World Cup team and would been starting. This guy had so much potential it was just crazy.

  • RIP Edwards.

  • BUSBY BABES!!!

  • a day late but 54 years on we remeber you duncan. RIP babes and everyone on the flight

  • Edwards was a great player from what ive read and seen on clips. He could be an awsome player. Sad that he passed away.

Im a Liverpool fan, but i cant argue about quality players. You`ll never walk alone. RIP

  • he is my great grandad but he gave my grandad up for adoption so im kinda related to him and im proud to me :) RIP G GRANDAD

  • @MiniplanetloverSacha please stop being so pathetic by lying duncan edwards died at 21 he never had any children pathetic liar

  • @MiniplanetloverSacha maybe you have been misinformed sorry if i was mean but hes not your great grandad sorry.

  • version of sound ? please :) fantastic player fantastic video

  • forever young

  • what is the name of the song.

  • phil jones the new duncan edwards RIP BIG MAN 54YRS TODAY

  • first time i see a video of him and it seems to me he was like a combination between scholes in his glory days and ronaldo :) i mean he knew to cross well...dribling...shoot...even tackling...great player...he would have certainly became one of the best players in history

  • 54 years ago today he was on the plane. R.I.P big Dunc

  • My father's told me stories, he recalls Charlton saying (and I paraphrase), "I knew I was a good football player, but walking out of the tunnel behind big Dunc, I always thought 'how could we lose with him on our side'.."

My dad worked for and was in a Glover's Cable social club in the early 60's, and was introduced to George Best by a talent scout who said "This lad is the next big player for United.." Everyone thought he was mad; this slightly-built kid...But that's a story for another day...

  • There will never be anyone better than Duncan Edwards. Muhammed Ali is nothing compared to Duncan. Rest In Peace Duncan Edwards.

  • Typical overrated English player. England have never been the best at football and have never had the best players. Not only do the English overrate their current players, they also overrate their "legends". Duncan Edwards was nothing special, and we just another one of those "complete" players that the English like to say "Oh he has everything and can play in any position".

  • @MrRaceRealist Fuck you!

  • @MrRaceRealist the guy died age 21 and was no where near his potential best yet great players and foreign players have come out and said he was a very special talent. as well as actually inventing the game England has had more of an impact in football than almost all other countries in the world. oh and its the media who overrate players not an entire country. your probably from some shithole anyway your your opinion is worthless.

  • @MrRaceRealist he was not overrated many fans of other clubs say the same about him, also look at the fact to that for over 40 years he remained the youngest player to play for england, also legends of the game speak high of him, i know what your getting at with the thing england try to say a few of there players have everything your talking about gerrard right? with edwards he did seem to match skill with alround ablity and did play in a number of postions.

  • @MrRaceRealist he was a speacial talent anyone that thinks not thinks it because of his death or like you think england overrate players, england do overrate some players but he and the likes of charlton, tom finney, robson are some of the great ones.

  • @MrRaceRealist he is my great grandad and im not very happy with what u said!

  • @MrRaceRealist fool do you not understand that england were a top team in those days, world cup winners in 66 and going close either side of that. Your name explains what you are though so i think i've said enough to you.

  • When I go to heaven i would ask God for an Edwards DVD, including how he would have developed had he not passed

  • Just... a fantastic player and a true loss. He had the ability of a champion, RIP Duncan.

  • I have tears in my eyes, and this is someone who I had no idea who he was for years.

I paused the United movie about the Munich Air Disaster and I am in tears.Duncan Edwards was the greatest midfielder England ever had,he really was.To see a young Busby babes parish in that flight,I have tears in my eyes.Flowers of Manchester, will never be forgotten.

I am from Malaysia and I am 24,I have no rights to have tears of Duncan Edwards, comes to show how great Duncan Edwards was.

  • George Best was the best player I ever saw live. However, Duncan Edwards died before I was born and I have enormous respect for the people who saw him and rated him as the greatest ever. 21 and he was a colossus. Just think what he would have been like at 28.

  • Best video on Youtube?

  • Song?

  • Sir Bobby Robson: George Best was the best player the uk ever produced'. Gordon Taylor: 'He was a genius on the pitch, one of the finest players the world has ever seen'.

    Maradona: George Best inspired me...'

Pele: George Best is the greatest player in the world', 'a player without comparrisson'.

Alex Ferguson: Unquestionably the greatest. There was simply nobody to compare with him'.

  • George Best would run rings around bulky Edwards

  • @Queenwraith well they were diffrent types of players they would have played in the same team anyway, and yea he hada big build but was light on his feet

  • @Queenwraith what team do you support and why do you think edwards was not a good player and just hype, he wasa great young player had best died at 21 he would be praised like edwards is with no hype.

  • @Queenwraith Obviously he would, thats a ridiculous comment to make. Firstly, they played completely different positions and secondly, they had completely different functions. In my opinion,Ronny is the greatest player in the world but a team with 11 Cristiano's wouldnt be the best team.Edwards is one of the best defenders of all time. His passing, tough tackling, physicality, driving runs, heading were top class.Best was just a genius. At the end of the day,The Babes needed big Dunc.

  • @IrishRu5T Fair enough, I take your point, but after the first year Best wasn't held to the wing, he was allowed alot of freedom and had a huge impact on matches in general, like you say Edwards did. I think Edwards was great but you simply can't call him the greatest ever (through no fault of his own) - you can make a claim for Best. BTW, if you think Ronaldo is better than Messi I can't take your views that seriously.

  • @Queenwraith I said in my opinion though.I think for a team,Messi is the best player around - but the individual talent of Ronaldo I havent seen in a long long time.Complete attacking machine, but has foolishly ruined his career in the long-run going to Madrid in my opinion....

  • @IrishRu5T I was never the biggest fan of Ronaldo as a Utd fan - alot of trickery but he couldn't go past players at speed straight at then like Best did, even with ref protection he pranced around and dived. For me that's not greatness. Type in - George Best vs Ronaldo - here on youtube and watch the vid that's 9mins long top of the search, then get back to me ;-)

  • @Queenwraith ive seen all the besty bits, im irish for christs sake :) Best was much more of a man so id have to favour him, but i must say I loved the entertainment when Ronaldo was there. The attacking flair with Scholesy,Giggsy,Nani,Ronaldo,Rooney,Tevez was incredibly. They dont make real players like Best,Eusebio,Charlton,Muller anymore ^.^

  • @IrishRu5T Agreed ;-)

  • @IrishRu5T I'm East Belfast so I'm probably a bit biased to be fair ;-)

  • @Queenwraith Corkman here. Im good friends with Roy Keane's nephew so I guess he can do no wrong in my eyes ^^

  • @IrishRu5T I'm with ya chum ;-)

  • @Queenwraith good deeabte going on not seen you for a while merry christmas

  • @IrishRu5T edwards was not a defender mate he could play there he was really what his deep wanted him to be, he played mostly in cm getting box to box but matt used him alot as an inside foward in todays game that would be a second striker, all in all a great player blessed with so much ablity like best comparing the two is like comparing say nani and rooney two diffrent players

  • and Edwards videos, all bests videos

  • @Queenwraith you found me on videos i never found you on any video first that is fact, and wtf is wrong with you its like you've lost your mind best was a great talent, pele was to so was edwards sadly for edwards he died at 21 and nerver got the years a pele did but to many that saw him hes as good as any player thats the opinion of people that seen best and edwards unblock and we can talk

  • You're sick in the head toon, stop stalking me on George Best videos, I'm going to have to report you otherwise. I blocked you and you're still harrasing

  • My opinion is that George was Best, alot of people on here agree with me. Long live George Best, a genius and a Legend

  • @Queenwraith i'm not going against his case as best as i said like di stefano, the likes of pele best is one of the true greats i started work on my video of him today it will be up in a few days, but my point is when we met two days ago you put edwards down when i showed you he was in bests class you put down the people that praised him.

  • @Queenwraith your spot on best was a great player and a genuit but accept that not everyone that saw him rates him above all the players they ever saw, bobby chalrton does'nt and he played with him dennis law rates di stefano the best he saw and he played with best see not all tghe old guys rate best the best its about opinion

  • Everyone, search for 'george best lifetime achievement award' on here and watch it, different league to Edwards

  • Greatest player the UK ever produced, and has a case for best of all-time during his 2-3 year peak. Best was a Genius, Edwards was not. Best went on to achieve half of his potential, never played in a world cup and is still arguably the greatest to ever play.

  • @Queenwraith again i watched that i watch anything with best in it as hes my favorite winger that ever played, what would you know about edwards being a genius or not what team do you support the fact you don't have the balls to msg a guy on here that saw both proves you are a coward unblock me talk this over like men or are we going to keep this up

  • Right, well you have your opinion I have mine. Lets leave it at that. You believe Edwards to be the greatest player of all time, better than Pele, Maradona and Cruff - this is just madness. Best is spoke of in the same breath of them because he was in their class, that's the bottom line that everyone see's as obvious apart from you and a few old folk nuthuggers, Paddy Doherty, who respects his opinion as gospel - very few. The conversation is over - Best was the greater player by a long was. Bye

  • @Queenwraith your are missing the point i never gave my opinion in my own mind, you put him down i showed you things to show he was rated high many of them being people that thought duncan was the best player they ever saw like chalrton, matt busby and some fans and whys it madness to say edwards was as good as the peles, and loser edwards is rated up with them by people that saw him or are you to stupid to search up on him, and its tommy docherty not paddy you fool paddy is not him.

  • @Queenwraith paddy docherty is a different person from tommy you spaz, and these same nuthuggers praise best to but wait are they wrong on him as well then, get a life you know shit on edwards if best was by far better why do so many that saw both prefer edwars over best come small brain tell me that, and you missed the point i was saying edwards was the greatest as my own opinion i was sending you stuff to show he was in bests class some of which happened to be people saying he was the best.

  • Comment removed

  • @Queenwraith Almost certainly not. Great in all likelihood but you must remember a lot of the commentary is based on lost youth, lost possibility. What is true of Edwards is true of the Babes in general. It is often forgottten that Wolves were comfortably clear of United when the crash happened and would have won the league with games to spare crash or no crash. tragedy creates myth. Had he lived he might have developed into an all time great. More than that is hype

  • @tigerarmyrule do you think Best was better?

  • @Queenwraith The truth is I couldn't say. It is effectively impossible for Edwards to have had more skill than Best. He was not a winger or inside forward adn was probably more in the Beckenbauer mold. i can't say queenwraith but Edwards was probably more influential on pitch whereas surely best must have had more dribbling ability.

  • @tigerarmyrule your spot on edwards had all ther skills best had but was not as good a dribbler, he was a passer and got about the pitch more than best

  • @thetoon99 Toon, look above - one minute tigermyrule is talking 'rubbish', then in your next post he's 'spot on'?

  • @Queenwraith your being a dick i senbt you stuff from fans that saw both and you can't accept that to many that saw both that edwards is better to them whys that. your problem is you know shit about edwards ask bobby chalrton his opinion on who the best player he playe with he says edwards

  • @Queenwraith the worst thing about this is your are asking the tigerarmyrule about who was better yet he saw nieither yet when i asked to to message the guy i told you saw both over 100 times each you did'nt want to as you want to ask people that never saw edwards

  • @Queenwraith why do you feel the need to try and get out of peoople that best was better, both were great players whys that not enough for you.

what do you think about wilf mcguinness comments on edwards and bobby chalrton saying he was the best player he ever saw, wilf summed it up in his mind that edwards was the best because he was world class when he had the ball and utds best player when the other team had it

  • @Queenwraith why hide your channel so no one can see it we got on so well yesterday after the debate the day before, but now you can't accept that some people that saw best rate a certain player better, some people rate pele better are they liars to.

  • @Queenwraith go to here to see the debate me and the tiger guy were having he told me that he thinks best is not the best but as good as the likes of pele we spoke on the video he made some good points on the video this one

Best, Law, and Charlton Classic Goals

    check it out

  • @tigerarmyrule Totally agree

  • @Queenwraith stop asking people that nerver saw edwards who was better

  • @tigerarmyrule thats rubbish mate its not hype if it was then why do even some liverpoool, leeds fans that saw him say he was the best i talk to a guy on here that rates him the best he saw, look at what edwards did in his carrer 3rd in the european player of the year at18 youngest to play for england at the time, he was an outstanding player look in to him more mate watch my dvd 51 minutes on my channel of him.

  • @tigerarmyrule Hype and sentiment

  • @Queenwraith perfectly valid point. Sentiment is a normal human reaction to loss and nothing wrong with that." What ifs" are part and parcel of life, in sport as in everything else. What if Garrincha and Best had avoided poor lifestyle choices. What if Edwards hadn't died? I'm an Evertonian. What if WW2 hadn't stopped our '38/39 title winning School of Science team in its tracks? What if Heysel hadn't locked the '80s team out of Europe? Endless what ifs add to the enjoyment of sport.

  • @tigerarmyrule, what if Everton didn't move grounds and form liverpool. lol

  • @ManUntdFCfan The curious thing is that Liverpool is, as you know, a breakaway from Everton by the landlord lovers..Redshite hate admitting it but all locals who follow the reds had ancestors who at one stage either followed Everton. ALL local Redshite are descended from Evertonians. Nowadays they are nothing but an ABU club. I used to love beating them but now I don't care less about them.

  • @Queenwraith your a coward mate blocking me if you want a fight grow some balls ya fanny, is it not enough for you that many that saw both rate them the best 2 they saw or one of the best 2 if your a man utd fan enjoy both loser, instead of putting down edwards you put down busby and charlton and tommy doc for there praise of edwards that had them rating him better, whys it matrer what me and you think people that saw both most will take to there grave that edwards was better what

  • @Queenwraith we think means shit as we never saw both i can only go on what people that say both say, and most prefer the player edwards to best, i guess because he was the more alround player as in he could play with the touch, passing, grace that best did while being like a steven gerrard to his team with thenon stop running but you seem to want and dream that best was better yet most that saw both prefer edwards so what i think and you is not what matters they who saw will and have judge them

  • @thetoon99 You suffer from mental illness - your infactuation with Edwards is bordering on the line of insanity. There are fans, then there are freaks like you. Best was in a different class, he was a genius with pure talent, Edwards was no genius. George Best all day long over Edwards

  • @Queenwraith you are a pussy so brave you blocked remind me when you saw edwards play so in your mind the likes of bobby charlton are liars haha, yet he saws and played with both your infactuation with best is insanity you can't accept that there is people that saw both that rate edwards better and i told tigerarmy rubbish on the part where he said hyope use your brain my other post that agreed with him was the one about best being a winger/foward and edwards more like a beckebuer

  • What a shame and what a waste, he would of been the quintessential English player that set the standards for generations to emulate. I often wonder what English football would of been like today if this lion heart had survived.

  • this made me cry :/

  • Hero forever ! we miss u n Thanks u

  • Duncan was my football hero. he inspire me to follow my dreams and to play better.

  • rip

  • I agree poster Big Dunc > Ali

  • Comment removed

  • Im 22 so i wouldnt really know what type of player D.Edwards was but alot of ex players who played around that time say he was the greatest all round player they have ever seen. All comparisons ive heard sound alot like Phil Jones hopefully we have another Duncan Edwards.

  • @Flusherized1989 hes not another duncan dwards but he has his build and kinda of movement and power i talk to a guy onhere who saw edwards play the best player he ever saw he says

  • @Flusherized1989 there was no duncan edwards type of player think of the best attacking midfieders and the best box to box he combined both think of maradonna and gerrard mixed together

  • @Flusherized1989 there was no duncan edwards type of player think of the best attacking midfieders and the best box to box he combined both think of maradonna and gerrard mixed together

  • RIP Legend! If only the world could've seen the rest of you...

  • Great video!

  • Very beautiful. Thank you. And Thank you Duncan Edwards. You are the greatest.

  • Immortalised as a legend despite being only 21. Says a hell of a lot about big Dunc. Thanks for the video Mr Ceder, you make video making look like art.

  • R.I.P Duncan!

The greatest and most complete footballer i never saw..

    :(

  • Big Dunc Was so Great even an aircrash could not kill him instantly! RIP

  • From a Chelsea boy. You were the greatest that I never saw. I see you, But at the same time, I wish I did with regards to 90 mins.. Dudley Boy always. from a friend you never met. CFC always, but you more. If only., Because you played with passion, finesse, speed, loyalty, and more importantly honesty, they do not/and will not make you anymore. Thanx to my my grandad for showing me the greatest of all time.

  • @firstassent what did your grampa say about edwards

  • in this world 214 people understand football. In this world is 0 sylly people!

  • my old man says duncan edwards was and still is one of the best players ever to wear a utd shirt, along with the rest of the babes who perished, still brings a tear to his eyes when he thinks about them!!! RIP the flowers of manchester!!!!

  • @scottlouth21 yea duncs a legend the best player ever

  • United lost 2 of the greats in that crash not just Duncan but also Liam Whelan, Whelan could have gone on to be one of Ireland's greatest ever players, incredible forward who could set them up as well as finishing them, Edwards and Whelan the forgotten greats.

  • I show my respect to so great feeling and history. Reverence from Spain.

  • Song ?

  • He lived in my hometown, a lot of people said that we would have won the world cup a lot more times if we had Big Dunc. What a fucking player, R.I.P

  • There are many things to cope with in life but the busby babes and especially Big Dunc taken before I could see him play haunts me , so I can only guess how much the people who knew and loved him must have hurt . And for Bobby charlton to feel inferior to Duncan surely is a testiment to how great he must have been because wherever I went abroad the one player everybody thought was the greatest was Bobby Charlton. RIP Big Dunc and Long live Bobby Charlton .

  • @2:05 can u imagine that today? todays footballer would be on there ass screaming for mammy.. so refreshing watching old football.. before it got ruined

  • RIP Big Dunc.

  • Paul Scholes passing + vision, Tom Huddlestone's strength + technique, Steven Gerrard's shot, Luka Modric's close control, Bobby Moore's leadership = Duncan Edwards.

  • @MrRumblerRabbit hes much more than that

  • @MrRumblerRabbit who told you that or are you just gusiing about a player you never saw.

  • @MrRumblerRabbit plus he was twice as strong as Tom Huddlestone is and ever will be

  • @MrRumblerRabbit who told you all this or are youy just gussing for a fact he had more power than huddlestone has.

  • Whenever I think of Duncan Edwards I always think how many World Cups would England have won. He was truly brilliant. In my eyes he was the real deal, the very best, and I'm a Liverpool supporter too. Respect big Dunc, you aren't going to be forgotten ever, rest in peace

  • @rankinalan My thoughts exactly. With Duncan, we would have won more World Cups than '66. RIP The Flowers of Manchester.

  • best player ever....

  • anyone understand the comments started at 2:07 music is too loud??

  • Watched united last night, big Dunc was a world class player by 21. RIP big man, your everything that makes united great.

  • @odsall watch my videos of duncan and the babes i made most of the edwards ones on here and ask LARATTAE9174 about edwards he saw him play many times the best player he ever saw.

  • The best player to ever kick a football. If he survived you would've never heard of George Best.

  • @SupahSonicBoom of course they would have heard of best there 2 diffrent special players

  • @SupahSonicBoom The likes of Johnny Berry, Kenny Morgans & Dave Pegg would've been more likely contenders for a place in the United starting XI for Best than Edwards would've ever been, mate.

  • @TheLegendfamily It's a figure of speech.

  • is this song is in Jay Z

  • @supermorshu The song "Forever Young" is originally from 1982 but has been covered many, many times. Yes, there was a cover of this song in Jay-Z's song "Young Forever"

  • The World didn't see his full talent!!

    R.I.P

  • They dont make footballers lik him in england these days. RIP Big Dunc

what is the name of the song, please??

  • @Iullus song is called 'forever young' by a band called youth group...

    1Love MUFC

  • what a suuupeeerb tribute!

absolutely brilliant. wonderful what a man he was. what immense skill, physique and presence combined with an unshakable belief will to win and a remarkable temperament. how humble and down to earth he was what a great attitude and sportsman i cant think of many people like him, what a gem.

    NATIONAL TREASURE!!!

r.i.p Dunc you'll live forever :) one of the greatest footballers ever lived. and great man.

  • wish i had the chance to see him play. rip

  • im getting a man u jersey with his name and number on the back :) RIP Duncan

  • @FGaribay7 quality! :)

  • rest in peace big man

  • I wish I'd seen him play. His death is such a tragedy to this day. But I'd like to think that our great club is built upon the memory of him and his teammates who perished, and will always be so.

  • 53 years to the day, RIP big Dunc

  • 53 years since Duncan Edwards past away

  • True Legend!

  • RIP The Flowers Of Manchester.Taken too soon.

  • Rather, 1:08...

  • If he had had the chance of taking part in the WC 1958 there would at least have been some decent film footage of him left. Now, its only the clips at 1:06 and 3:47 where you can see that this guy was somethin special. I like the way he just passes the second guy who attacked him when he's beaten the first one in the 3:48 clip. I would have loved to see that guy play.

  • Die you'll be a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become a villain!

  • The Word Great Is Often Overused, Big Dunk Was Truly a Great Player, He Had The Whole Pckage. I Saw The Busby Babes Duncan Stood Out Like a Sore Thumb. I Admired Bobby Moor a Class Player and Captain [RIP] Had This Terrible Tragedy Never Happened Duncan Would Have Been Just 28 Probably Over 100 Caps Behind Him [Most OF tHEM AS Captain] A fRIENDLY AND mODEST Lad a Role Model In Every Sense Of The Word Duncan [RIP]

  • On Behalf Of All The Manchster United supporters In New Zealand. Rest In Peace :(

There will never be a player like you.

  • He was only 21 when he died, a terrible loss to English football as well as for United . Apparently he was also a very nice unassuming, modest, hard working clean living lad. RIP Duncan

  • Thanks for the video.

He could be one of the greatest footballers ever, what a shame.

    To young, RIP.

  • happy birthday big man

  • Happy birthday.

  • RIP

    LEGEND

  • best vid I have ever seen on this, I am honoured to support the club this great man played for, he will never be forgotten. I remembered him in Turin, in Barca, in OT when 1 down to the scousers in 99, hello hello we are the busby boys..

  • Never saw him play, but my father a lifetime Liverpool fan brought his Manchester United supporting son up on stories of Duncan Edwards. Better defender than Beckenbauer, better balance than Giggs , better passer than Beckham, better touch than Maradona, better striker than Pele, more vision than Cruyff...if he had , had a full career there would never be discussions about the best player ever,,,all the arguements would be trying to decide who was number two...a distant number two.

  • @Eiselmann wow thats awesomw i knew edwards was the best player ever an old guy i talk to on here went in to great detail about him saying he was like a player made by someone on a computer.but to hear what you said makes me drool having seen clips of all these players and of course from seeing the wonferful giggs on tv.

  • Fantastic video, brilliant player.

  • They reckon if he didnt die, Bobby Moore would have never played for England...thats the biggest thing you can be told, better than Moore
