I think instead of using the word "evolution"... people should just say they do or don't believe all groups of life came from other pre-existing groups. The latter would get people really thinking about it. The word "evolution" when it's said just has too much baggage and false ideas right when it's heard.

I'd simply ask people if they think groups came from other pre-existing groups. I wouldn't give it a word at all.

Christians who still believe in Evolution are believers of theistic evolution which states that God did create everything just by using evolution. Is that what you believe? By the way I am 12 years old and have studied this a while so anybody message me for deep discussion on this stuff!!

I think Christians who believe in evolution believe it was part of gods design, and this is the way he created us humans.

yeah, i think most religions nowadays (including mine) are inclined to feeling like that...because given current evidence it is hard to deny evolution, so believers feel that God created the process (me included)

@shrimpcakes The beauty of our God shrimpcakes, is we do not have to worry about creation that much. That is just a blip in the religious realm. I don't know religion you follow, but I am a Christian and God is much bigger than the skeptics and the science. What it boils down to is what God did for humanity, and the silly thing is is how often they reject him.

First of all, as the person that created this video, I never expected it to raise so much controversy. That said, I am a Christian and believe in evolution as well. They don't conflict, and if you read church doctrine, you'll realize that the beliefs of several churches (Catholic, Southern Baptist Convention, UMC, etc.) are in line with science. I am also a science teacher and NOTHING in science is fact. It's not about fact or fiction. It's about DISPROVING hypotheses. Nothing is ever proven.

The brightest minds in ancient China and philosophers of ancient Greece like Aristotle and Plato believed in a geogentric universe centuries before the birth of Christ and when few, if any, Gentiles read the Torah. They created a theory based on what they saw with their own eyes: planets and sun moving through the sky.

I believe in evolution, but Phoebe makes an excellent point towards the end. Science is NEVER 100% fact; it's only 99.9% at most. There's always a margin of error left open for the possibilities of new discoveries. Who knows? A few thousand years from now, people may find another and even more fascinating explanation for life and laugh at us for "actually believing in evolution". Just as many might think ourselves superior to the "ignorant" people who believed in a geocentric universe.

Never going to happen. The theory of evolution gets stronger day by day as new evidence comes to light. It´s proven fact that life evolves, nothing can possibly disprove that. Yeah, in the realm of science, evolution is a "theory", but the fact of evolution is explained by the theory. The theory explains the fact. Its 100% proven fact that evolution happens, the theory was put forward by Charles Darwin in 1859, which he called natural selection. The theory is that natural selection is the driving force behind evolution.
