Then get an out of towner to buy something, when the out of towner leaves at some point nook will say he is upgrading!

I know how you feel. My other animal crossing games are awesome and I was rich! But a few months ago on City Folk I was also poor and had nothing. I just felt like playing again and I entered a Wrestling Contest on youtube. From that I won 20 mill. Then I found out a way to clone items and money. Thats how I got all those items. You can get the Royal Shirt for 360 Bells in the Able Sisters. You can also buy the Royal Crown from the Able Sisters, it costs 2 Million Bells. I have about 20 Royal Crowns :)
