  • Ok I have to call FOUL on the Palestinian part of this film. 1. Palestine did not exist during the time of Alexander. 2. It was Israel that was crushed and there were no Palestinians in existence. 3. If there were Palestinians, they were unorganized beduan tribes and not enough to crush!! Typical of the British Historians. They enjoy creating their own history for the world. and frankly they created Palestine during WW1 LIARS!!

  • The gazans provided a big meal for the journalist.. what hospitability despite living in hell on earth

  • LOL the koran mentions alexander cause alexander was well well well before the muslim religion came into existance, and before anyone tries to use that towards me about Christianity, its old testament that talks of Alexander. Muslims have just hoovered it and passed it off as their own information.

  • @Steely1888 You are right friend lol,the OLD TEST mentions him

  • These documentaries make me so proud to be of Greek heritage. I'm so sad that certain people lie to take this history away from such a great people :(

  • "Theres always politics in israel, heh" kinda funny but kinda true. Raises questions...

  • alexender not polytheist he some kind like luqman alhakim as describe in quraan, he learn philosophy from aristotle surely he is not pagan.

  • As a muslim I want to tell you all

the part where the men are telling him Dhul Qaranain in the quran is Alexander, that could very well be true except for one thing,Dhul Qaranain followed one God and Alexander was a polytheist....so being muslim and reading the Quran there is probably a 90% chance Dhul Qarnanin was Alexander..the only thing that makes him not Dhul Qarnain was that he was not a monotheist.

  • No actually it does mean im right, because its factual history. But you wouldnt know anything about that would you. Your what I call an agent of darkness my friend

  • this is all greek to me. I never knew brad pitt and colin ferrel were related!

  • Alexander the great is considered a jewish hero and a believer in monotheism according to Flavius Josephus. Remember also that Arrian and Callisthenes state that they were certain Alexander was receiving divine assistance. I wonder by whom?

  • @umyafzal lmao... Alexander was Greek. Anyone who knows anything about real history knows that. You have a little case of schizophrenia my freind. Like the rest of your beliefs

  • @vroulidia Did I say that Alexander the great wasn't Greek? One thing you got to know about Alexander the great is that historians have agreed that he was enigmatic which means that the 'history' that pertains to Alexander the great may or may not be correct as each author has contradicted each other. One other thing. Just because my belief doesn't agree with yours, doesn't mean my is wrong and yours is correct. Thats your belief but it doesn't mean you're right since I can easily call you a...

  • It's so degrading and hateful to call Israel, Palestine, even though the guard at the border said it's always politics in Israel. Shame on BBC for it's downright deception of denying Israel it's proper place. England has always been against Israel.

See how they lift up Alexander, who was truly an invader, and yet deny Israel their proper place, for Israel has always been the Nation of Israel for over 1400 years, before it's destruction by Rome!

BBC is so dishonorable, and it's scandalous.

  • @ez2seeu2 the world knows the truth about "israeli" occupation and resettlement

  • @Thessalonik1 I beg to greatly differ from your delusional insistance that Israel is "illegally' occupying their own nation. The world sir is a liar, and you along with it. "Let God be true, and every man a liar".

  • That Palestinian food sure looks good 1:35

  • @mamchoho & others.. Trelli ghamoshisti! What do do you know about the Holy Quran?! Dul Qurnain mentioned in Holy Quran is NOT Alexander the great! Get educated you silly scumbags! Typical imbacile christian! ghaourospori!

  • This is what I mean, here is ones again a proof, muslims claim Alexander the Great was a muslim "Zul Quarnain" but we all know that Alexander the Great was no muslim and had Greek pagan gods in which he believed in. He has even left altars to Athena I believe on his quest in finding the end of the World. How can muslims believe that the Quran is really the word of God whiles it is full of lies including this one concerning Alexander the Great. Muslims really are retarded people if you ask me!

  • Islam wasnt invented for another 900 years after Alexanders death, so whoever said that is retarded. Also the book of Daniel spoke of Alexander about 200 years before he was born and the book of Maccabees speaks of him by name. The unholy Quran is only good for toilet paper.

  • See Surah 18:89-98 but be careful some muslims have spotted this error in the quran and now claim that the quran referred to the Persina emperor Darius/Cyrus. But the funny part is that the quran talks about Zul Quarnain being a muslim and we all know that Darius was an Idolator Zoroaster. So like they say in Tanzania, it is like going from "Piss to Shit!" Muslims make me laugh!

  • Its ok dont worry...theyre all gonna be destroyed!

  • destruction of a nations begins when all morals are lost.

  • @CHRISTHATESAMERICA

As far as Im ware the Book of Daniel DOES NOT mention Alexander by name, but does mention and foretells, that it would indeed be a prince of Greece that would put an end to the Persian empire

Otherwise your comments concerning a "zul quarnain" in the Quran are SPOT on

  • Right, its in Daniel the 7th chapter where he describes the four great beasts of the ancient world: The Babylonians, The Medio/Persians, The Greeks(Under Alex) and the Romans.

  • 1Maccabees 1:1 And it happened, after that Alexander son of Philip, the Macedonian, who came out of the land of Chettiim, had smitten Darius king of the Persians and Medes, that he reigned in his stead, the first over Greece,

2: And made many wars, and won many strong holds, and slew the kings of the earth,

....it goes on to say he got sick and died, and wickedness increased on the earth in those days.

  • The book of maccabees too, is guilty (after the quran) of being written AFTER THE EVENTS described had taken place, but it wasn issued as a sign of prophecy unlike the quran. The book of maccabees was written after the Judaic revolt against the Greeks...

  • Yeah I know, the book of Maccabees is really a historical account, it was written around 100BC. I only posted that scripture for those who werent aware of its existence, Also, unlike the US school system it teaches that the Greeks were evil!

1:7: So Alexander reigned twelves years, and then died.

8: And his servants bare rule every one in his place.

9: And after his death they all put crowns upon themselves; so did their sons after them many years: and evils were multiplied in the earth

  • @CHRISTHATESAMERICA

Why would you bring in your bigotry into an academic exercise like this documentary?

Isnt there a fan boy hate site or any slew of 3rd rate videos where you can rant and rave from your chair in your mothers basement?

    for shame! for shame!

  • @3SQNDan Endless babbling is what I hear from you. The truth is that we are the real prophets of the Most High and were telling you the real Jews are black, and that America is gonna be destroyed very soon for its wickednes

  • @CHRISTHATESAMERICA, islam started with the advent of Adam (pbuh). read the Quran first then comment on it.

  • @hydshaik The unholy quran is nothing more than distorted Bible commentary. It was written over 1000 years after the BIble!! My Superman comics hold more validity than the unholy quran

  • @CHRISTHATESAMERICA, after 600 hundred years of prophet jesus (pbuh) prophet mohammed came, to say that Quran is written 1000 years later is utterly naive and misinformation (you should correct yourself here), and if Quran would have been copied from bible, there would have been same contradictions, errors and distorted historical facts in it, for your surprise there are none in the Quran.

it seems you have'nt read bible nor Quran, please read it before commenting nonsense.

  • @hydshaik The Quran was invented by Muhammad to justify his perverse behaviour. he was a child molester.

  • @UserUK201 LIAR STOP UR DECIETFUL LIES IF U BELIEVE THIS THEN KEEEP IT TO YOUR SELF DIKHEAD

  • @CHRISTHATESAMERICA @CHRISTHATESAMERICA, the people who wrote bible, they never met prophet jesus (pbuh), after 40 years of prophets ascension, they started to write about him.

all the persons who wrote about him were story tellers, bounty hunters, corrupted historians and other greedy writers. These were the same people who tried to kill prophet jesus (pbuh).

  • @CHRISTHATESAMERICA The Bible (book of Daniel) says that the Greeks would conquer the Persian Empire and the Greek Empire would be split into 4 quadrants after its leader's death.

  • @CHRISTHATESAMERICA, well, then you are retarded. Islam begin approx around 600 AC. Can you prove otherwise?

  • @CHRISTHATESAMERICA Why do you attack the Islam and the Quran??

Your Church and your Popes have made BIG crimes, as the Cruzades or the Inquisition and no one is attacking because we have got over it. Respect other people and their believes.

And why Alexander the Freak?? He conquered all known world, and never lost a battle.

  • @guadch crusades were in response to 400 years of islamic aggression, so don't act as if the muslims were all peaceful. muhammad was a crazed child molester who personally executed men of the banu qaurizya tribe who he massacred.

  • @mamachocho I could write a whole essay on alexander the great's monotheistic beliefs. His speech at opis hints at this. He said at opis "Now that the wars are over, I wish you to find happiness through peace.

May all mortals live from now on in harmony, as one nation, for the sake of common prosperity. Consider the world as your country, with common laws, governed by men of merit, regardless of race. I do not distinguish between Greeks and barbarians, as do the narrow-minded.

  • @umyafzal I am not interested in the country or race of origin of people. I only distinguish people according to their virtues. To me every virtuous foreigner is Greek and each non-virtuous Greek is worse than a barbarian. If you are ever faced with differences, do not resort to arms, but resolve them peacefully. If need be, I can act as your arbitrator. God should not be viewed as an authoritarian ruler, but as our common father.

  • @umyafzal As for myself, I consider all persons, black or white, as equals. I wish you to be my partners and not just members of our commonwealth. As far as I am able, I shall see to it that all my promises come true. Regard this oath as a symbol of love.

Here Alexander the great refers to GOD as one (not gods) which is in the singular not plural. He also seems to be more religious than his contemporaries and was regularly praying.

  • Peter the Great more than deserves his title. He acctually got that title from the Europeans. During his reign he defeated the greatest power in Europe at that time, the Swedish Empire. I encourage all to at least watch the story on him from the History Channel, Peter was a larger than life person, his energy and charisma is definitely what set him apart from any one else. He was the first Czar to be crowned with the title Emperor, with his reign the Russian Empire really starts to grow.

  • He says "Ala gave Sikander powers to rule, BS Alexandros Gave him self power"

  • The horns they mention reference the Egyption Sky God Ammon. The God whom Alexander looked to guidance for after his near fatal winter march in Siwa.

  • most scholars agree the dual kurnain as being alexandros

  • Thses are great Videos! Very informative and a great Adventure in itself to watch them all! What a Superman,Superhuman! How brave Alexander the Great was! Darious the Great thanked him for his being a gentelman and taking care of his wife and family. He was Justice personified! He caught and punished the Traitor Nobleman who killed Darius.Thank you alexandros1821 for these unique Videos!

  • u r right sir:i dont know how these fool r showing that Quran mentioned about inalexander . yes , we can say that he was Cyrus the Great but not sure.

  • Whoos "Cyrus the Great" nobody knows but Persians !

  • That is not a nice statement. Every one knows Cyrus the great. At least all the educated ones.

He was the first conqueror in the world to build an empire and the first King to get the title " The Great ". Alexander was the second to get that title.

Check google if you do not know about him.

  • peter of russia called himself the great to but he lost so many battles there is a difference between a title and actually beeing great

  • Well Cyrus was actually Great since not only did he create the world first empire, but he managed to rule it for 30 years , and thereafter his empire survived for 300 yrs.

This much cannot be said for Alexander since he lived only couple of years after getting his empire , which was almost immediately divided by his Generals at the time of his death.

    .

  • There is also the Queen of Russia who earned the title of Catherine the Great since she went into battle and made Russia the biggest country in the world.

Oh, she earned her title alright ! Not like Peter the great of the same country !

  • They should call him Alexander the FREAK!!!

  • Only freaks, of nature can conquer with such relative ease :p

  • @CHRISTHATESAMERICA yeah thats why h fu cked up u all lol cry more

  • The problem with Cyrus is that he wasn't a muslim and was a Zoroaster idolator. Now back to you!

  • @mamachocho

So the Muslims are disppointed, eh! What made them think that Cyrus the Great was remotely connected to the Muslims ?.

Don't they know that Islam came only in 7.A.D while Cyrus lived in 373 B.C !

Gosh, such Ignormus ! Let them start looking for some other idol !

May be Libya's Gaddaffi or Ayatollah Khomeini ! ( Oh, they make me laugh ! )

  • Are you being cynical or what ;)

  • @zigsauer well, that's not true.

  • @CroMarduk , the only Cyrus that people might think of is "Cyrus the Virus" .

  • yes, well - uneducated people.

  • Education of Xenophon ; )

  • Dhul Qarnyan is NOT alexander! that is a LIE, we know who Dhul Qarnyan is because the prophet told us, he was a Man from the cacaussu region, Alexander was a pagan greek

  • "The bible testifies to Alexanders Greekness"

Since when is the bible a source for historical facts???

And why people pretend to admire Alexander but waste time in endless discussions about his nationality? He was a unifier of people, always respecting and adopting customs of others lands... marrying a Baktrian, having a persian lover (Bagoas), wearing the mitra...

  • It would be interesting to speculate if the Greeks had gone West against the Romans. I believe that the Romans were not that strong in that era and Alexander's forces would have prevailed. However, the fact is that Rome was too poor economically for the Greeks to waste their time. There were plenty of Greek cities near Rome, thus Alexander knew it was not worth his time. The riches were in the East and he and his men went after the wealth. Thanks for posting this video.

  • Had he not died, Maybe all of history would be different if Arabia was conquered and hellenised.

  • Alexander actually had plans to conquer the Romans later, but as you said in that time Rome wasn't really all that great or anything,.

  • Indeed. At the time the Romani hadn't even conquered Italia. It remained a hotbed with Sabine, Etruscan, Samnites, Galls and Hellenes etc. You only have to look at the exploits of Alexander's cousin, Phyrros of Epiros later to see how effective Makedonian and Deudoci tactics and formations were against the Romans. People don't realise that when Rome expanded into Illyria and Hellas, it fought degenerate versions of the Successor armies. Much as Mohammed did against late Byzantines ..

  • No way, Makedonian formations don't stand a chance against Roman tactics. Remember Romans considered their pila to be their main weapons, their pila tactics would have slaughtered lightly armored phallanx formations that were Alexanders army. I know during Alexanders time though the Romans were nothing, so it's comparing two separate eras of warfare.

  • Polybian legion formations were hardly sophisticated. This was pre manipular and Marian, heck even Camillan reforms. The Persians made great use of missiles as well. Remember Macedonia was right next to Illyria and they had pioneered the use of light infantry missile troops long before Rome. The Macedonian phalanx, as with all close formations of heavy infantry of that time were _very_ exposed to missiles. That's why they had hundreds of skirmishers and peltasts to screen their advance.

  • Alexander is mention on the book of Daniel in the bible. The koram might mention him but, the koran was written after... about 500 yrs after Christ. Know your history

  • Yup, it's specifically mentioned that, a Greek will rule the land...

  • The bible testifies to Alexanders Greekness

  • Dhul-Qarnayn means the horned one - basically alexander the great !!

iskenderin buynuzu var buynuzu !! hhehehehe

  • yes, alexander the great is mentioned in the koran, but no 'fundamentalist' muslim will ever believe in those historical facts which even the koran gives evidence about.

  • Well there is the widely perceived translation in the Quran of a Dhul-Qarnayn" applied to be none other than Alexander the Great himself by a margin of scholars, altough for the record. the Quran never mentions Alexander's name specifically.

  • It wouldn't surprise me if Mohhamed had admirations for him.

  • @alexandros1821 Alexander was a polytheist and Dhul Qarnain was not,so how can it be Alexander?

  • @nishmat It cant be Alexander,Dhul Qarnanin talks about Allah as his Lord,Alexander didnt believe in one God he believed in Gods so how can it be Alexander? Im amuslim telling you this.

  • @Afgsusan1 After reading Alexander the great life from many sources, there are hints that he was a monotheistic believer. If you have not read about his life, you shouldn't just say what you have read on the internet.

  • great

  • thx!
