i know what your saying. its like the invention of bottled water though. who would have thought people will pay 20x more for something cos its in a bottle. people will still buy it.
For some people its not that easy. I have to keep my bikes in the garage, which we also keep both our cars in which leaves zero space on the ground for the bikes. And when the hooks are 8-10 feet off the ground, it can sometimes be tricky to move the bike laterally trying to catch it on the hooks while keeping your balance. It's not a product that everybody needs, but I would buy one or two.
This is more convenient, and bikes leaned against the wall can fall over and be annoying. Normal people probably wouldn't have one, but anybody with excess money (or a bike shop) would probably love it.
i find this stupid. Ok great, it saves you what, half a bikes length of space? But when your packing plenty of pikes together, not only will it be difficult to park and unpark you're bike, but it'll also be, like peter said, dangerous. On top of that, why would you want to pick up or take down you're bike every single time?
Why cant you just use a hook?

I don't see what you people have against these guys. They're intelligent, and their pitch was fun. The product can be very useful for many people.

Why would anyone hang a bike?
just put it against a wall, they both take the same amount of space up.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
this invention is lame. their pitch is lame. the whole thing stinks of pointlessness.

I'm puzzled by this. What does it really offer over a simple storage hook? A marginal amount less effort needed to bring your bike down?
UncleFeedle 4 years ago
Yes. ANd that is exactly why it is so good. Hooks are frustrating and mildly damaging to your bike.
kalakalakalakissa 4 years ago
i dont think it needs a battery, its just a simple mechanism

I'll also add I'd buy 4 of them for 20 bucks each without batting an eyelash.
I am a product designer.

Retail cost is irrelivant, the concept is an improvement, and there are plenty of yuppies who'd buy this in a second.
