I found really annoying that I can only see the cover and the name of the book when it is at the shelf... If the book's name is big it's impossible to read...

  • @bharatkumargupta No, it's free. apple gets a 30% cut of the income make from your sales though.

  • @bharatkumargupta im not sure but they do take 30 % of the money u make off book sales

  • Amazing they produced such a slick video just... let's see... 4 hours after the announcement :)

  • @seanodotcom this was taken from the apple website, dear.

  • I'M JELLLLYYYYY.

  • Why must the cheapest Mac be $1,000?!

  • @Chrxstopher The Mac Mini starts at $599.

  • Or for the PC?!

  • Couldn't it at least be on the iPad 2?! D:

  • @Chrxstopher - if you're a serious publisher I doubt - with all the other apps on a typical users iPad - that there's enough room on even a 64 gig iPad to hold all the data - pictures, text, audio, ect - that would go into creating a textbook

  • @Syntox

    *Sighs* Not textbooks...

Anyway, even if I were to write a standard textbook of just pictures and text, there would be plenty of room for that. More than enough room. And I daresay there would be enough room for video and audio as well considering that we'll be reading these textbooks on, in fact, iPads. All of that information will be there.

I reckon the reason they did not release this for iPad is due to processing limitations. If it does get released, it will be a Lite version.

  • Why is this only for Mac?! D:

  • @Chrxstopher Because it's apple
