Honestly, this album was fantastic, however listening to it on MP3 or youtube is just a waste. The album was produced to be listened to non compressed. It is the epitome of non radio friendly. Uncompressed metal vocal are pretty harsh to listen to. Also, very little dubbing going on compared to other metal bands. Excellent production by Steve Albini. This album has a brutal simplicity to it that really is admirable.

They grew up (for the most part) around Greensburgh PA where Zombie culture is prominent because of the close proximity to the filming of the Dawn of the Dead films. Actually The Red Shore has one of the original guitarists, but thats only if you count that was suggested by an original member and there since the early years, but yeah, i really can't listen to a band that has completely defaced its original self. I mean even bands with only two original members is a little hard to swallow.
I don't dislike Zao, but I have to "screen" through some of their newer albums' stuff, whereas with the old stuff I would listen to the entire album like front to back. Like it was one song...

Actually The Red Shore has one of the original guitarists, but thats only if you count that was suggested by an original member and there since the early years, but yeah, i really can't listen to a band that has completely defaced its original self. I mean even bands with only two original members is a little hard to swallow.
