I've played both rugby and football for years. And football is by no means a pussy sport. The hits I've given and taken in football far outweigh the hits I've given and taken in rugby.

As for pads making football players pussies? Where you dropped on your head as a child? You admitted you've never played football so how can you say that getting earholed by a linebacker hurts less than a dump tackle? And forward passing=pussying out of getting through the other team? A handoff, pitch, toss etc.Even with a pass play, it requires everyone on the offensive side of the ball to execute their assignment. The O-line has to protect the quarterback long enough for his recievers to have enough time to get free and on to their routes. The fullback and half back have to pick up linebacker blitzes or run their own outlet route. And it's the QB's job to make a play.

Rugby is a harder sport but i have to say i enjoy american football because your alowed to spear tackle and well basically tackle anyone who's on the pitch, with or without the ball, but it has far too many breaks on tv its totaly annoying.
