Well this is a nice reminder of why I don't eat meat! I mean it would be different if he displayed any sort of appreciation for the cow's life, but he barely acknowledges the fact that it was once living. Calling it "beef" doesn't change anything lol~
all the haters its always difficult to see anything living die, but that cow was luck compared to other methods. and i'm sure that guy would be the first to tell you it sucks to kill anything but we have to eat.
It totaly amazes me the ingorence of folks these days they think the beef they eat in the stores must just magicaly appears there. this is just a cycle of life always has and always will be God put theses creatures apon this earth for us,this was probably one of the most cleanest and human ways i have seen a animal readied for processing good job!!
Holy crap, it just fell, almost perfectly level. It looked like someone dropped it from a foot above the ground. I've killed and seen killed a lot of animals, and they've never fallen as squarely as that.
@nickvess2 If you're a cop, you're one of the most candy-assed ones I've ever heard of. Yeah, this is hardcore, but THIS IS WHERE MEAT COMES FROM. You don't have the balls to at least acknowledge that, quit eating meat.
That's the way a Cow should be slaughtered, in the field, quick and painless. Perfect. I have no problem with that, as long as the cow is free to live in a field like that all of its life, that's fine. Intensive farming and battery cages are the worst thing to happen to food and animal wellfare. Animals should live natural lives, be killed quickly and humanely... not raised in factories. I bet your beef tastes absolutely amazing.
this is kinda hard to watch.the only reason is i do ag at my hs and i know the beef b4 its beef. at least it wasnt stunned and then killed by a slit throat
@hothfate this is a very humane way to slaughter cattle, they don't even see it coming, so they don't really suffer, neither physically or psychologically, it is some unprofessional meat factories that should be regulated in the slaughtering process.
Thanks for the vids,,good stuff!...Am I missing something? Not seeing all the vids? I was trying to find one where you do the entire process from assholes to elbows...Good stuff tho thanks!
this is my favorite video,so efficient.I have a lot of squirrels in my yard and heard they are tasty.they are urban squirrels and would i dress them the same?it's a serious question,i wouldn't want to shoot them if I wasn't going to eat them.
I was born and raised on a farm. My Dad had a meat processing shop since I was a kid. That is where I learned how to slaughter and process beefs, hogs and deers. No, it does not bother me. Eating meat, to me, is part of life.
My Dad cut and raised beef for 50 years. Good video, good start. When will we see the rest of the process, I'm trying to teach my young boys some of the process.
Killing the thing in the first place is harder than it looks. I did my first one a month ago, and he picked his head up just as I shot. First bullet went in the sinuses. He ran 50 or 60 yards and the second shot dropped him stone dead. Luckily I used a .303 instead of a .22 like most people do.
Don't you feel even the slightest bit of remorse when you're shooting this poor animal in the head? This is definitely not nearly as cruel as the cow's that are raised on the factories, and never even get a chance to graze,or smell the fresh air, this cow probably had an alright life before it was murdered. But I personally would never ever hurt an animal. I love animals,I see them as more friends than food.

What a barbaric son of a bitch. What did that cow ever do to you. How would you feel if someone hung you by you feet, and start carving out your anus. You god damn pig fucker!!
see, this is how all animals we eat should be killed. a shot to the head, quick, and painless. not by slicing a gaping whole in their throats while they are alive and letting them bleed out. talk about dying in agony. i mean, how much money are they saving really? 1 bullet per cow. interesting video btw.
@tlv156 When you cut the jugular vein of the cow the bood will gush out and not reach the brain so the cow in theory will not feel pain. It'll probably get dizzy, faint, then bleed out. That way the heart is still pumping and it'll naturally get all or most of the blood out right away. Or that's what I've been told anyways.
@tlv156 Large scale slaughterhouses use a bolt gun that renders the animal unconscious before they bleed them. When their throats are cut, they may twitch and squirm but the part of the brain that "feels" has been destroyed by the bolt. This kind of thing is very strictly regulated by governments.
Well this is a nice reminder of why I don't eat meat! I mean it would be different if he displayed any sort of appreciation for the cow's life, but he barely acknowledges the fact that it was once living. Calling it "beef" doesn't change anything lol~

There hs to be a more homane way to kill an animal. I am a retired police supervisor

@askthemeatman Right buddy as long as you don't torture them alive like some idiot does it. You kill them as fast as possible.

You would cut the throat immediatley... the heart is still beating and the blood will run out... it will continue to drain when you lift it up...

i have a question...is it better to hang the cow first then drain the blood via cutting the throat? or just do it immediately after the kill?
and also im curious to what you do with the hide after you skin it?
killswitch100782 2 years ago
It's best to cut the throat immediately. We sell the hides to a fur dealer after we salt them down.

Wow, another "leave the animals alone" freak.
Steak is wonderful and they come from animals. That means you kill them and cut em up.
They aren't people, they are dumb animals that happen to be very tasty.
I like how people try to stray away from nature and act like it's babarism.
