  • Well this is a nice reminder of why I don't eat meat! I mean it would be different if he displayed any sort of appreciation for the cow's life, but he barely acknowledges the fact that it was once living. Calling it "beef" doesn't change anything lol~

  • Thank you for making these dvd's, I will be buying your complete set.

  • hi you say this is a 1 hour video were is the rest as only 4.57sec on here ??

am interested to see the rest

  • You can purchase the complete DVD from our website. Thank you!

  • @saturdaypaul - that website is askthemeatman

  • It kind of make me hungry

  • This guy is realy a pro.

  • nice video, you look like a pro at what you do! and to all the nay sayers- go chew on some tree stump, oh wait the tree will feel pain.

  • all the haters its always difficult to see anything living die, but that cow was luck compared to other methods. and i'm sure that guy would be the first to tell you it sucks to kill anything but we have to eat.

  • Kenny Rodgers is the gambler!

  • @hothfate beef doesnt come from a tupperware at the corner store. wake up.

  • It totaly amazes me the ingorence of folks these days they think the beef they eat in the stores must just magicaly appears there. this is just a cycle of life always has and always will be God put theses creatures apon this earth for us,this was probably one of the most cleanest and human ways i have seen a animal readied for processing good job!!

  • Holy crap, it just fell, almost perfectly level. It looked like someone dropped it from a foot above the ground. I've killed and seen killed a lot of animals, and they've never fallen as squarely as that.

  • Dam this guy is my hero he has no fear

  • If you don't have a gun. You can to sneak up on it at night. Then plunge your cordless power drill into it's heart.

  • Hey mr meatman you are a savage bastard... What a cruel way to slaughter a steer.

There hs to be a more homane way to kill an animal. I am a retired police supervisor

from New York and I have seen horible things throughout my police career. This video made me very upset.

  • @nickvess2 You'd think a Police supervisor would be able to spell humane correctly.

  • @nickvess2 If you're a cop, you're one of the most candy-assed ones I've ever heard of. Yeah, this is hardcore, but THIS IS WHERE MEAT COMES FROM. You don't have the balls to at least acknowledge that, quit eating meat.

  • that wasnt so bad they just shot it so they dont feel any pain but i watches some videos and its so horryble

  • omg did the other cows see it?

and damn that is some fresh beef

  • omg did the other cows see it?

  • you drain out the blood on the fields ? :S

And the shoot slaughter is not so good for the blood of the animal...

  • haha i never seen a cow fall like that amazing

  • mmmmmm!! save me a piece they where put here to eat.

  • That's the way a Cow should be slaughtered, in the field, quick and painless. Perfect. I have no problem with that, as long as the cow is free to live in a field like that all of its life, that's fine. Intensive farming and battery cages are the worst thing to happen to food and animal wellfare. Animals should live natural lives, be killed quickly and humanely... not raised in factories. I bet your beef tastes absolutely amazing.

  • it does not get any more humane that this, and that is not sarcasm, thumbs WAY up man!!!

  • this is kinda hard to watch.the only reason is i do ag at my hs and i know the beef b4 its beef. at least it wasnt stunned and then killed by a slit throat

  • wash it down keep the flys off it then lay it on the ground in the dirt very hygenig

  • @hothfate this is a very humane way to slaughter cattle, they don't even see it coming, so they don't really suffer, neither physically or psychologically, it is some unprofessional meat factories that should be regulated in the slaughtering process.

  • Quick and painless

  • does shooting the animal make the meet any tender vs stunning?

  • That shot was more humane than any slaughter plant I've ever seen.

BEEF IS MURDER! DELICIOUS MURDER!! LOL :D

NICE TO FINALLY SEE IT DONE HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE DONE! NICE VIDEO

  • ummm is this even legal?

  • @Libef14 ever been to a gorcery store?

  • what caliber is that rifle?

  • lol "cmon bassie"

  • To (askthemeatman) do u sell ur cows to people who prefer to eat their beef fresh?

  • :21 lol

  • Thanks for the vids,,good stuff!...Am I missing something? Not seeing all the vids? I was trying to find one where you do the entire process from assholes to elbows...Good stuff tho thanks!

  • What kind of knives do you use? Just curious, I am a commercial fisherman in S. Florida and I use Dexter Russels.

  • this is my favorite video,so efficient.I have a lot of squirrels in my yard and heard they are tasty.they are urban squirrels and would i dress them the same?it's a serious question,i wouldn't want to shoot them if I wasn't going to eat them.

  • Yes, we know. The audio is a few seconds out of synch with the video on the YouTube clip only.

  • I was born and raised on a farm. My Dad had a meat processing shop since I was a kid. That is where I learned how to slaughter and process beefs, hogs and deers. No, it does not bother me. Eating meat, to me, is part of life.

  • @askthemeatman Right buddy as long as you don't torture them alive like some idiot does it. You kill them as fast as possible.

  • You would cut the throat immediatley... the heart is still beating and the blood will run out... it will continue to drain when you lift it up...

  • While its still alive?

If you do that it will cause the meat to become tough due to post rigomortis stress.

  • animals = meat

  • i have a question...is it better to hang the cow first then drain the blood via cutting the throat? or just do it immediately after the kill?

and also im curious to what you do with the hide after you skin it?

  • It's best to cut the throat immediately. We sell the hides to a fur dealer after we salt them down.

  • My Dad cut and raised beef for 50 years. Good video, good start. When will we see the rest of the process, I'm trying to teach my young boys some of the process.

  • lol HEADSHOT

  • Killing the thing in the first place is harder than it looks. I did my first one a month ago, and he picked his head up just as I shot. First bullet went in the sinuses. He ran 50 or 60 yards and the second shot dropped him stone dead. Luckily I used a .303 instead of a .22 like most people do.

  • animals are here with us to benefit us. and meatman was humane

  • id feel pretty DEAD, just like this cow! idiot

  • Wow, another "leave the animals alone" freak.

Steak is wonderful and they come from animals. That means you kill them and cut em up.

They aren't people, they are dumb animals that happen to be very tasty.

I like how people try to stray away from nature and act like it's babarism.

Eat your tofu and normal human beings will eat their beef.

  • Do you eat dogs, cats? weird animals etc..?

  • well you dont cringe everytime you go to mcdonalds and eat a cheeseburger do you?

  • as a matter of fact the cow raped my cousin.

  • Just curious.. why doesn't that guy wear gloves? Not so much to stop the spread of bacteria, but for ease of cleanup.

  • Quick kill the way it ought to be

  • Lmao :D

  • So funny how people can eat meat without any qualms but as soon as they see a slaughtering video they get nauseas.

  • Thank you, Lord, for providing these animals to us for food.

    Now, pass the BBQ sauce.

  • Because it was quick and painless, it was dead before it hit the ground, thus making it humane.

Now stfu. I want some bbq :]

  • the blood will drain more if you kill it by the knife first..believe me..ive done that

  • very good video sir. how much does ur DVD cost and where can i find it

  • teach me your ways

  • This is good.Kill animal with gun.Respect this.I hate Sick ppl who killing with knife, they torture animal.

  • at least it was humain

  • BEEF! its whats for dinner!

  • what kind of gun is that??

  • .22 rifle.

  • really what kind??

  • the cow did not know it was shot until it was already dead. it was dead so quick it didnt even feel it.

  • Jews couldn't eat meat killed this way. It has to die a slow, painful, death for a rabbi to "bless" it. It's called kosher. Look it up.

  • Very decent. Very humane. I love steak.

  • see, this is how all animals we eat should be killed. a shot to the head, quick, and painless. not by slicing a gaping whole in their throats while they are alive and letting them bleed out. talk about dying in agony. i mean, how much money are they saving really? 1 bullet per cow. interesting video btw.

  • @tlv156 When you cut the jugular vein of the cow the bood will gush out and not reach the brain so the cow in theory will not feel pain. It'll probably get dizzy, faint, then bleed out. That way the heart is still pumping and it'll naturally get all or most of the blood out right away. Or that's what I've been told anyways.

  • @tlv156 Large scale slaughterhouses use a bolt gun that renders the animal unconscious before they bleed them. When their throats are cut, they may twitch and squirm but the part of the brain that "feels" has been destroyed by the bolt. This kind of thing is very strictly regulated by governments.

  • Now, *that* was humane. The animal was dead before it hit the ground.

  • If an animal dies quickly, the other animals are not going to be stressed.

  • one other question what gauge rifle was that?surely it was not the 22 you used on the hog.all power to you, have a good day.

  • Yes, it's a .22 mag.

  • meatman, what kind of knife is that?most knives won,t cut steak on the table.

  • That's a 8 inch Forschner-Victorinox breaking knife. That's they only brand of knife we use.

  • very informative thanks! looked very humane to me

  • where are the flies?

  • Pitty things get out of sinc

He shot an Hereford cross but failed to remove other beasts, then started to skin and Angus cross. Why

  • The DVD shows two different beefs being slaughtered and skinned.

    Craig Meyer

  • very cool!! i commend you as well. if only everyone coulb be as humane as you.

  • Very humane. :0)

  • I commend you on the speed that the animal dies as there is so many cruel ways they get slaughtered.

    Such as Bullfighting!

  • agreed. i would much rather be shot in the head than be strung up by my legs and have my throat slit.
