To each one's own, but Project Rainbow was by far my favorite part -- I could do without the cheesy Goth antics of the Fate, and the Mi-Go have been done to death already, but to me the brilliance of DG is the merging of standard conspiracy theory with the Mythos. The original books did that for the Greys/Majestic , and Rainbow does it for the Philadelphia Experiment.
I had the original small book of Project Rainbow and I ran this to veteran CoC players... Scared them like only Hastur-Mythos stories did...
I think the Project Rainbow is one of the best supplements to really get the PCs going. The best thing about it was that players could go and find facts outside the game and bring those to the table.
I guess for me it didn't go far enough. I'm really interested in the Philadelphia Experiment for it's RPG potential and it seemed only to be a dealt with as a gimmick to just throw into the mix of a campaign imho.
Well... It can appear that way... It really is a tool for your campaign and its greatest asset, I believe is that as the PCs progress through P-Rain, the conspiracy reveals itself like an onion. The Phi-Ex leads to the engineers, leads to the shipyard, etc...
The potential is there for RP is great: Will the military try it again? Are there some loose notes/plans out there? Is there someone who saw something? Uboats in the area???
I'm, letting you guys know that as of today, at 1:32 A.M.( EST ) , Arc Dream Publishing ( for whom I have no affiliation with ) , only has about 60 copies of Delta Green : Eyes Only, left.
Never really cared fo it personally but most Lovecraft films fall flat for me. It always turned into silly gore and T&A- Booty Call of Cthulhu, if you will...
As usual, good job on the review, but I have to ask - is there actual RPG information in this book? (Crunchy bits, setting material for the GM, etc, in a gamer format) or is it mostly fiction?

Hey, I liked the Fate. I'm just curious as to what lies below the 3rd sub floor.
