  • No, I will not be home with Pam for Christmas. People need power!!! Next time you see a member of our military thank them for their service. That is all the thanks I need. Be home soon as I can Pam. I love you baby!!!

  • If my parents were without heat for a day, I'd do something about it, not complain to the utilities via Youtube. Ever hear of saving for a rainy day?

  • yay--it's back! thanks to the crews that made this happen.

tedede, you seem like such a happy and pleasant person...merry christmas and happy 2009 to you and yours!

  • perhaps deb in peterborough has her power restored already? my parents (who also live in peterborough) are still without power, heat, and running water. it has been almost 11 days...i had to cancel my trip home for christmas. the worst seems to be that PSNH is planning on passing off the 10 million repair bill to their customers? don't they have insurance?

  • Tell your parents to drive to the Home Depot in Merrimack and buy a generator, there were dozens in stock as you typed this message. They live in one of the wealthiest towns in NH and can't afford a grand for a generator and proper installation? Give me a break. This is NH. If you want to be coddled, move to Mass. Most of the 1000+ crews working in NH won't see Christmas with their family, and they won't be complaining about their lot online either.

  • hi tedede,

yup, that's correct, they live "in one of the wealthiest town in NH" and yet they don't have a spare $1000 lying around. i'm not sure why in your mind living in a certain town automatically makes one rich...perhaps you live in a world that simple? alternatively, if you have the extra money and you'd like to send it their way, that would certainly be appreciated :)

  • The repair guys have worked hard, but it sounds like there was a delay starting. The strength of the local government is what seperates us from New Orleans where local people were notpart of the solution.

  • Many, many thanks to all the folks at PSNH, both inside and out, for their remarkable actions during this storm. We want you all to know how appreciative we are of all you are doing!! No small feat! The people of New Hampshire are lucky to have you.

    Thanks

    Deb, in Peterborough
