@crash2cute Not sure you'd give it a genre. If you are looking for similar tunes try - Any Trouble. Good band from late 70's early 80's. Saw them live in July '80. Worth a listen. Make your own mind up.

Hard to compare. Well, both movies are about fictive bands (don´t forget THE RUTLES, same league, a fantastic Beatles-parody). But when SPINAL TAP is a pure comedy, STILL CRAZY is very close to reality, very emotional.

I don´t think it´s better because it´s newer ... I think it´s better because it´s more real. And there´s so much emotion in it. And there´s over the top acting. And there´s fantastic music. This story is so close to how it really is, I can see the movie over and over again.
