  • GAY!!!!!!! wannabe bitch!!!!!!!

  • muy buena men!

  • good job

  • awesome cover. sounds great!

  • FUCKING awesome rock on dude

  • Where can i find correct tabs for this awesome track?

  • Sounded good but the nuances are what separate youtubers from legends

  • Switch over to the neck pickup when the solo in C# minor starts. :)

  • Real nice job on one of my favorite Satch songs.

  • so easy song

  • YAH IF ITS SO EASY U PLAY IT!!!!!!!

  • I think he's speaking technically, It is indeed one of Satch's simpler compositions such as Love Thing, Ten Words and Starry Night. If you wanna get technical with Satriani you should definitively check out the mystical potato head groove thing, Musterion, Summer Song and Surfing With The Alien.

  • Your comment is okay, it may be simpler technically speaking,,,but his comment stay stupid , hope you agree with me.

    Long live Satriani

  • what a stupid comment

  • @thinker20 hahaha is super easy for me, if you can't play this is your problem dude , pussy

  • you want a cookie ? Ill pray for you tonight

  • Really really great... congrats!

  • Nice cover, and a good homage to the Satch, good work man.

  • I like your use of harmonics at 2:22, nice cover dude.

  • Love iT :)))

  • nobody gets this solo right ..even satriani when he played this song live he missed some parts its obviously clear ...no match with the album version ...can any one tell me why ?? um workin on this solo and i will get it right :P

  • Hi, dimmu666xx.

Mine is just a personal cover, not a exact o accurate interpretation of this song. I like this way, try a diferent parts of the song, varations. I like when Joe play varations of his songs. For example "Always" is full of new varations when Joe play live now.

  • its not because satriani missed some parts in the solo..he just want to feel the song and improvising a sort of introducing a new mood of the song..to make more dramatic...=D

  • chachi

  • nice version. ;-)

  • nice job, wow wish i could play like that!

  • Comment removed

  • Awsome dude u got 1gud talent wish i cud play like that.

  • Nice job!

  • Love this this, sounds pretty good, but forced. Credit for posting though.

  • Very nice, but I still prefer the natural distortion/clipping of tubes and Celestion speakers.......

  • i think the drive is a lil bit too much..

  • hey man me re gusto tu vercion. me encanta el sonido q usas! te felicito. a fin de año me compro una ibanez rg 370 dx y ese pedal boss sd-1 q tenes.

    And two old PC speakers.

  • This is one of my fav solos, You did a great job.. Quite Impressive. Really good.

  • finish the song plz great tone

  • Very cool, dude!!! Now all you got to do is to make it look really really simple (like Eddie) or invent your own subtleties (like Gilmour) and I will pay to see you...

  • Satriani is the guitar god and you my friend have done a great job..brilliant cover well done !!

  • great work man.....the sound is sweet.

  • Wow, great cover!!!

  • Excellant! Props to you for doing this at all.

  • I think there's too many reverb... only that ;) and work on your timing, like the last guy said

  • you are good though you need to work on your timing

  • Sounds a bit like "Darling Pretty" by Mark Knopfler... or vise versa.

  • Cool!!

  • you are the man!

  • great music

  • Good feel, and great tone!

  • do not name your home video joe satriani cryin' unless you're joe satriani

  • Do not call yourself "giantbear" unless you are a giant bear.

    Works both ways, asshammer.

  • although it's not exactly like the original you felt the song , went with the flow and made an original version of the song , nice

  • excellent job, I must admit you are the first cover I see, that has such feeling. I thought no one ever felt the music as you seem to.

Thank you for this great solo

  • nice dude...good job. How to get the background music for this song? Can you please share to me...I like to play the guitar solo....! thanks dude...

  • Hi, joejoelacosta.

    It is a midi file.

Just google "cryin + satriani + midi".

  • that was awesome :)

you captured the feeling of the song EXCEPTIONALLY well

  • 7 star +

  • 5 star from me!

  • Es imposible versionar esa canción, no por la técnica, sino por el feeling. Sin embargo, eres el que mejor la versiona de todos los que he visto.

    Bien tocado tío.

  • really good man bravo

  • amazing job!

  • Hi Joaquin let me say this first:

This was the best cover I've seen on youtube, and I've seen all of them, literally lol. Your tone was perfect, and it was clean. Second, you have got to be one of the most modest people in youtube, you reply to questions asked here instead of ignoring like most of the posters lol.

Third: Read your messages, I sent some questions hehe ^_^ thanks for sharing your talent to people like me who feed off music to live

  • Hi, start44.

    Thanks for your comments.

Joe Satriani song Cryin' have many covers in YouTube. And every guitar player who covers that song have is own personal feeling... is personal way to understand and to be moved by this song. To me is one of the best songs of all Joe Satriani records.

  • great job!

  • that good really my respect guy bit CESAR HUESCA is really the champ ZEROLIMITS germany

  • Thats some clean playing friend......even Mark Knophler would have to agree.....SLAINTE

  • like the sustain u add on the notes around the intro sounds snazzy

  • good stuff mate

  • nb nb i suppose

    Delay 4,48,7

    Reverb 3,4

    No uso amplificador.

    Sólo unos altavoces de Pc.

  • Very nicely done. What kind of guitar may I ask? Lots of reverb, really makes this video...touching. You play it so nicely that when I play I actually to play in your style rather than Satriani's. Your pretty much a music man, I watched the pieces you wrote in 1998 very awsome. Take care.

  • Congratulations for mastering this difficult piece!!And you have a unique intonation, different that what i usuallly see nowadays. And the picture is pretty classy as well. Great clip

  • Sweet Tone. Gave you 5 stars.

  • Dude you got the skillz to pay da billz!

Unbelievable sound, so clean and perfect.

    Big up!

  • i love this song you rock dude..........

  • Brillant what can i say,i think i'll pick the guitar up again,Its give u that buzz for satch's music

  • great!!! this song was actually the first one i ever heard by satriani 5 years ago great!!!!

  • hey

    just to say

    this is gorgeous. thanks.

  • Hi buddy, cheers for your comment on mine, what do you use for your sound? and how loud is too loud for recording videos on here?

Cheers for any help you can give! ;-)

    Greetings from the UK

  • Hi, guitarwizzuk.

I use a very old DSP Zoom 9000 and SD-1 Boss Pedal. No amp, just two computer speakers.

I really dont know how loud is good for record here. My videos are record live, with no Pc mix, just with the mic of the cam.

  • If you only use the mic of the cam, you must have a good one...my digi cam for example make my recordings sounds like crap^^

  • Hi, WalkingMusicMan.

It is a Canon Digital Ixus II 3,2 Megapixels, and the mic is just a litle hole...

  • hey buddy nice playin, check out my version!

  • Great Job man exelent...

  • Awesome! You really understand what Satriani says with his music. What guitar do you use?

  • hey joaquin eres mas que chingon, recabronsisimo, tas pesado ..felicidades

  • hey man, you´ve got THE satch-tone! Great!!! Rock on!

  • nice men beautiful song ilove this song verry nice

  • Boa!!! Se garantiu!!!

    Nice!!! Good job!!!

  • You did an exceptional job on this song, I love this!

  • Fine, very good, but, why it is cut?

What do think of our version?

    Ciao.

  • Hi, FingerOfAuger

Well, my photocam can only record 3 minutes of avi video. And, your version is brilliant!

  • Thanks and we hope to find again to us. I am preparing a new video (Manhattan) that I will put soon on youtube

  • I wasn't impressed by the audio quality of the clip, but I was impressed by the passion delivered in the performance. If you have some originals, you should be in a studio.

    4 1/2 Stars.

  • that was lush dude :)

beautiful sound u got there, especially as i read that ur only usin pc speakers!

  • oh.. ok..

    thanks a lot ^^

  • Hi, Andhika93.

Not really if it works, because Zoom 9000 is very old DSP multieffect, and Zoom 606 is brand-new. Also i dont use amp, just two computer speakers. And i mix the zoom 9000 sound with the Boss SD-1 pedal.

May be try to mix your 606 with the SD-1.

My settings for this pedal are:

    LEVEL 5 o'clock

    TONE 5 o'clock

    DRIVE 2 o'clock

    Oh, i like your videos.

    Nice Green Day covers!

  • hey, Does your Zoom 9000 settings works on Zoom 606?

    coz mine is 606...

    cant afford expensive one..

take a look at my guitar in my prof..

    u'll be amazed xD

  • Nice

  • Hi, vince11229.

That part is six hamonics from the song Mystical Potato. I like it too. My photo cam can only record 3 minutes of video, so all my videos are 3:00 minutes long, and some songs are not complete.

  • Man, so emotional.. am almost in tears.. you are a genius !!

  • i like the part at 2:21-2:27 , nice flow but wheres the rest of the song??

  • Hi, TappedHarmonic Zoom 9000 and the Boss Super OverDrive SD-1. No amp, just two speakers. The guitar is a N2 Washburn. The settings in the zoom 9000 are: Dist 2 EQ +1 +2 Pitch 0 0 0 DLY1 4 48 7 REV1 3 4 LVL 200
  • Absolutely awesome...but, but...that seems to be a NunoN4!!

However...what kind of amp settings did you use?And what about effects of your digital Zoom?

  • i'm cryin' for this awesome playing of yours

  • Hi, slevin881

    No amp in this video.

Just two computers speakers plug in to the Zoom multieffect.

  • very good. nice playing,

    4 stars from me.

    look at mine.

  • What amp settings did you use?

  • wheres the rest?

  • pretty cool. Beautifull tone and intrepretation!

    Chek out my version..

    see you

  • I like this video a lot...

Check out this too guy, he really rocks...

    Tags: While my guitar Jad

  • amazing...:)

  • Love the song. And I adore the sounds of that guitar :)

  • dios mio que BUEN SONIDOOOOO!!!!

  • I liked the adlibing. Most would've tried to play the "harder" parts and totally killed the song. I'm not saying you might not have the skill but the song is just as good with your adlib put in there!
