I can't imagine what inspired that thought at this moment in the concert in Berkeley California.... *cough cough*
I referred to this on another board as "the acoustic campfire version." This was how they performed it last night (June 6, 2008) in Chicago and I loved it! The electric version just doesn't translate live all that well.
BTW, yesterday was Peter Buck's 51 1/2 birthday, and he first saw the light of day in Berkeley, CA.
Thanks for posting this. Have seen them many many's but this show was somehow more spectacular than all others. And this song in particular: simply beautiful.

It was weird to see Peter Buck behind the piano and Bill Rieflin playing guitar at the Mann in Philly last night, but it sure made for a great song!
