Hahahaha! You got it backwards...sort of. Switch was formed from a group called SMASH back from the late part of 1975. Bobby decided to produce his younger siblings who also wanted to sing. He left Switch to produce them in 1981. The original DeBarge LP was entitled, "The DeBarges." It didn't do well. It wasn't until 1882 that they hit mainstream with "I Like It"

No. DeBarge came after this group. But, not really a spinoff. But, Bobby DeBarge was in both groups. He became part of the group after El and Bunny left.
