It was stated in a convo with Tosh that Arc can't kill Jim due to popular in the fringe worlds. He needed to kill his reputation first or else he'd have a martyr and more insurrection. Letting Jim loose would eventually lead to Kerrigan. If he died against her it's not his fault. If one of Arcs soldiers kills the queen of blades, Arc is a hero. At that point the broadcast was already out, so killing Jim would have just been politcal sucide. Killing Kerrigan would be redemption.
Jim thought Tych was freed by Mobeus, which was controlled by Val, and didn't operate under Arc. He knew Val was undermining his father, so he had no reason to believe Tych worked for Arc. Tych didn't ask to have the suit operated on to remove the kill switch because everything that Tych see's, the suit records. At the nearest sign of betrayal, Tych would be killed so naturally he didn't say anything. Whether or not Tych knew who Arc was doesn't matter, he only cared about the kill switch.
If the device worked then what's with the damn hair?
Also: Put some damn clothes on, young lady!
Findlay made no sense. Naturally they could just cut him out of the armour so that wasn't it. And is he dumb or something? They're about to overthrow Mengsk, so he could probably go free or something could be arranged. So what's the deal?
But yeah, Starcraft should've been a movie. Since the first game.
@Foxstab The hair is because the transformation could not be undone completely, she will still have control of zerg and great psionic power. Findlay made perfect sense since his suit was wired to Mengks probably much like a terrorist has a switch for his bomb like in the movies. If Arkturus gets annoyed he pushes the button and Findlay dies. It is explained in game...total organ failure.
@poofartass Blah. He still made no sense since it was quite obvious he's faking it. Come now, seriously, you're a wanted criminal for years eluding authorities and this one army peon you once knew somehow goes AWOL and finds you so easily and after 9 years or something in cryoprison he suddenly has all these contacts with job contracts to make you both rich...yeah, right...
@Foxstab U asked why they couldn't just cut him out of the armor and I answered your question lol. I never said Findlay wasn't a strange idea for the game, it's just that everything goes as it should have. If Blizzard didn't want you to know that Findlay was the traitor until the very end, they wouldn't have shown u that intro with him being freed outta prison. It's all about the climax at the end with Kerrigan and Jim having to shoot his best friend. The choice was the key element...
@poofartass Oh, I accept your answer. I still find him very nonsensical, though. You could go further to argue that he could somehow communicate his captivity by Arcturus to Jimmy (they do this shit plot in sci-fi all the time) and they'd find a way to jam/isolate Arcturus remote control over his suit to neutralize his ability to kill Findlay and then cut him out of the suit.
I still don't know how Jimmy can put the suit on and off at will like that...Starcraft is weird!
@poofartass Well, I suppose his treason wasn't quite hidden, yes (but is Jim stupid to miss?)...still, not much of a choice; The woman he fell in-love with and blame himself for losing to the zerg and feel responsibility for all the horrors that happened to her and that she wrought upon mankind versus some dude he knew as a rasckal kid and haven't seen in nine years to whom he feels indebted to for taking the rap for their crimes...yeah, I'm gonna go with the chick on that bet. LOL.
@Foxstab The thing is Jim had suspicions about Tychus's loyalty, but he wasn't 100% sure about it, especially after the Valerian Mengks incident on the ship(U know what I mean). He couldn't just kill the guy or do who knows what else without knowing for sure. Besides if someone kept me from getting busted and waster 9 years of his life on my behalf(which was supposed 2 be a life sentence btw), I would feel obligated to help that guy and make ammends u know ?
@poofartass I don't know what you mean. I don't have the game. I read the plot on shittypedia and watched some tubes. Yeah, him being out after 9 instead of original life sentence should raise questions in its own as to how he jumped that bail...Jimmy isn't the stupid kind. But yeah, Blizzard made him ignore the obvious otherwise their shaky plot would fall apart after the very start.
Yeah, you'd feel obligated, to a degree...also, chicks go first. :P
@Foxstab I didn't wanna be more specific since I don't wanna ruin possible future experiences for other viewers who maybe haven't finished the campaign yet idk. Anyway the idea is later Dominion battlecruisers tag along and Jim knowing he wouldn't stand a chance, he tagged on to the flagship and boarded it. There he saw Mengsk's son, who was also the leader of the Moebius foundation, so he got way too confused after that :D He didn't know, it could have been Valerian who freed Tychus...
@poofartass Oh I saw that scene. Well, Valerian and Tychus didn't seem friendly or acquaintances. And Tychus only got items for intermediaries who sold it to interested parties - the Mobius Foundtation in that case. There was no direct connection between the two, so I doubt it could've been a possible line of thought.
@Foxstab Lol. Valerian owned the Moebius foundation. Yeah maybe Tychus didn't know about him at first, but come on, he does jobs for them, is freed by Valerian's father to do the dirty work and he doesn't know the guy ? I doubt it. Besides since Valerian owned Moebius and practically Jim Raynor like he himself said, that should have made Raynor suspicious, since Tychus came with the Moebius artifact proposal in the first place...so idk it's debatable
@poofartass Tychus was in cryo-prison for nine years. He probably barely even knew who Arcturus was at the time. All he knew was what he was being told, and I doubt he was told much. Arcturus might be a feverish zealot in his powermongering, but he isn't stupid. Infact, all his moves were quite well calculated and manipulative.
Again, Tychus didn't work for the Moebius Foundation, he worked for intermediaries. I'm well familiar with the type IRL. Tychus wouldn't know a thing.
@Foxstab And even when they did work for personnel from the Moebius Foundation, Valerian's connection (or even existence) only came to prominence towards the end, right? (again, I didn't play the game, so I wouldn't know, but I presume we only found out about him and his ownership of Moebius in that cut-scene)
@Foxstab Yeah that's why in the ending Tychus says I made a pact with the devil Jimmy...cause he didn't know who Arcturus was lol :)) Even if he didn't know then, he sure as hell found out. Remember he hacked into the Hyperion database and I am sure as hell he wasn't just looking at the queen of blades videos. I am sure 100% he did more research, especially when he's been so manipulative. Also Jim brought him on par with most current events while on the ship...
@poofartass Oh, I'm sure he's been briefed by Arcturus on precisely who he's working for. Power-hungry megalomaniacs have a hard time not telling everyone how great and powerful they are. What I mean is that I doubt he knew about Valerian, much less that he was head of the Moebius Foundation (even Arcturus probably didn't know, it seems to have been quite the secret).
All we know is that he was caught watching vids of 'Evil Sarah'. But yeah, he probably was scouring to learn intel.
I would have had the scene with Tychus being suited up shown right before the end. That way, when Tychus betrays you, it might actually be considered a plot twist >.>
@setharoth114 Actually I wanted to put a flicker in that part, too. But instead of your proposal, it was some dialogues between Tychus and Raynor were considered to be summarized in order to let the viewers have a more touching feel. However, I was running out of my summer vacation, and I had no much time left for decent cutscenes making. Hope you understand.

Karrigan and the Zerg horde probably the saddest part out of all the cutscenes.

If this movie has a imdb, a score of 5.9 would be sufficed

The original playing time depends on personal mastering, between 10 to 20+ hours...
I tried my best to 'simplify' the storyline without losing too many details T_T
