  • I will request this music with radio.

  • I feel like escaping into another world, where there is no hate, no pain, no suffering.

    It's just that beautiful<3

  • What language is this?

  • @abbyxxoo bumb

  • if she toured here with origa it be a storm of wonderfulness

  • Hehe, very nice said : D @MAJMTCJ

I really wonder. There are Questions People repeat over and

over again - such as " Are there Angels? " - and Stuff... If there are

really heavenly Beings here on Earth, they are in Human Minds and

Volitions, making People like Yoko Kanno singing like a Deity. ^^

  • she is a passionate genius

  • Wait...is this in French?

  • I've looked all over the place, I can't find an mp3, message me if anyone finds one

  • Yeap, I too thought at first that is Origa but listened and realized that this is not

  • this is beautiful, it sounds like an army marching into a war they don't want to fight, but they know they have to for honor and pride....

  • Which album is this from?

  • :D I reaalllyy like this song ~

there have to be more songs like this :D

  • .....

    its....kinda......weird

  • das ist so wunderschön... *träum*

  • like music, but her face scares me

  • Yoko Kanno and Origa are a musical orgasm!

  • Here in America we don't get what's quality, we get what's marketed. But we can still vote with our dollars and buy music like this, and one day make more of a market for it here. She sings beautifully.

  • they use it in turn A gundam

  • This song....it makes me shed tears...how beautiful...

  • No one taps deeper into my emotions than Yoko Kanno. Her music is truly unique.

  • ED of ∀GUNDAM

  • Beautiful song even though I don't understand it.

  • She just keeps blowing me away. It's just injecting a portion of her soul into the music. Amazing work.

  • @SariaChord0TouchWeb I agree she always seems to be putting so much emotion into her music

  • i love this song. (:

  • this tranquil music is smoothly soothing the dark atmosphere while tapping background is trying to make it more dramatic to compensate the monotonous rythm. Good chill out songs.

  • I agree with escafan1. I believe that this song sang by Yoko kanno herself.

The name of "Gabliera Robin" is likely to be her "other name" .

(The fact that she is the"Gabriera" herself doesn't come out officialy, but it dropped a hint at the last year's her consert (in its booklet) in Japan.

She is likely to use that name when she sings, write the lyrics...at a whim.

    Because she is a little weird...(^u^; ...

  • she sings it better then eny other version ive ever heard

  • Wonderful!! All we get is crap here in the US.

  • Radio have too low quality for this

  • Where can you get this song!?!

  • japanese music is the most beautiful- and expressiv music of the world!

  • beautiful.

  • I think latin...

  • @stg58bravo That's not latin, i can tell you that.

  • in which language she is singing this song?

  • @strawberrycooki It's a made up language.

  • @strawberrycooki

    It's Gaelic..

  • @ClangerSchmoo realy? i thought it was a made up language so that everyone can have a different interpretation about the song...

what's gaelic language anyway?? never heard of it before... is it the same language used in "take a little hand"..??

  • @MozqaLL what's take a little hand? oh and Gaelic is the native ancient language of Ireland

  • @RialtoWolf i see, so it's native ancient ireland laguage huh?? absolutely amazing...

and btw take a little hand is another song composed by yoko kanno, taken from the OST of GITS SAC SSS... i recognize the word "escontina" that she used in moon... it is the same word that she used in take a little hand... so i thought whatever language she used in moon should be the same as in take a little hand... and btw take a little hand is an amazing song, u should try it sometimes... ^^

  • @RialtoWolf dont forget Wales :)

  • @dbransom yes, and Wales too :)

  • @MozqaLL Gaelic has a few flavours its the old language of the Celts. Irish, Welsh and Scotts. The native languages of those parts of "England".

  • @ClangerSchmoo its not gaelic or gaulish we know 200 words of gourlish! eluvetie is a goulish/gaelic metal band and it dosn't sound anything like those words i think this song is just made up sounds that sound good

  • I didn't know she could sing like this, I only thought she composed and stuff.

  • i love this song, they should play more of these kinds of songs on the radio more.

  • Sharpnel made a remix of this. :D

  • it's not Origa who's singing in thsi song! it's Gabriela Robin (aka Yôko Kanno!)

Origa have sang only the live version of the Turn A Gundam concert.

  • @escafan1 actually Yoko Kanno rarely sings in her work, this is Origa singing, look it up. Yoko created the music and everything but she isn't the one singing, she once admitted that she was self-conscious about her singing voice.

  • No! Moon (studio version here) is sang by Gabriela Robin (alias Yôko) and "Moon" live from Turn A Gundam concert was sang by Origa yes, but not the version of the OST.Yôko Kanno is Gabriela Robin! she revelated that in her huge concert in july 2009 at Tokyo! (a huge concert with all her singers: Mai Yamane, Steve conte, Scott Matthew, Origa, Maaya Sakamoto, etc...) the concert was given with the Warsow Orchestra, there was many songs from many anime.

Yoko sang Moon behind 17000 pepole in 2009!

  • @escafan1 I would have to agree with you on this one. It's not Origa's voice singing here.

  • @escafan1 do u have a link for the video please =)?

  • @escafan1 you mean she sang moon in front of 17,000 people

  • @xRisingForcex , yes! it was for Tanabata concert she gaves in july in Tokyo with the famous Warsow Orchestra (the original orchestra who recorded Escaflowne, Turn A Gundam, Wolf's Rain, etc...)

and the Seatbelts (the original group who recorded Cowboy Bebop) it was an Amazing concert (the best she made) they was too all singers: Mai Yamane, Maaya Sakamoto, Steve Conte, Tim Jensen, Scott Mattews, Origa, and some other...

and Yoko Kanno, sang only one song, it was Moon ^_^

  • @escafan1 yes i'm saying she saying it in front of them, as opposed to behind

  • Comment removed

  • @escafan1 Do you know where I can find a link to Yoko's live proformance?

  • @K486521 no, there is no videos (too bad) only sound search: tanabata yoko kanno live. It's the only thing I can tell you. there will be no DVD or no CD of this concert, and I don't understand why! o_O it was so amazing!!!

I have a sample of one title (Torukia) on my cel gallery collection, on Rubberslug, find: natcels by Esca-fan, you will hear it on my: "musician autograph" section.

  • @ kenyahp This version is from the first Turn A Gundam soundtrack, and the lyrics are definitely not in japanese. There is a version of the song, as veeri92 points out, on the third soundtrack (Cocoa) that has the japanese lyrics. Both versions very nice, but I think I'm partial to the one with the japanese lyrics.

  • @keyyahp Yup, that is pretty definitely not japanse ;-). There is a version with japanese lyrics on the third turn a gundam soundtrack, cocoa. This is from the first soundtrack. I like both versions fine.

  • Nice and romantic music thanks!

  • the msuik is verry good!

  • It's great that you don't need lyrics to make a good song. :) Like this one. She's singing gibberish, but it's still so beautiful.

  • @veeri92 shes singing japanese. Not gibberish...It has lyrics. Just not english lyrics.

  • @kenyahp Wrong. There is a Japanese version of this song, but this particular version isn't. The artist is somewhat famous for making songs in a made-up language with no particular meaning, which is what this is. You can try to translate the lyrics, but you won't get far.

The Japanese version, though (Tsuki no Mayu) actually does have meaning. ;)

  • This song is screaming angst.

    It's so beautiful.

  • T_T... Good!!!

  • Why can't master pieces like this play on the radio, instead of the endless bullshitty Taylor Swift songs?

  • @LemonlyGamer

cause that would make everyone stop buying bad music and many rich people would lose their income ;)

  • @LemonlyGamer I think the answer to that is because most people develop a taste in (proper) music at the age of 23 or so, most people younger listen to radio to be part of the teen culture (not saying gaga's shit, just that her company gets her were she is now)If I cant explain it to you then type in youtube ''Fatpie Ridicules 2009 Music''

  • @LemonlyGamer because Yoko Kanno has an iq of 10,000...at lest so she can't help but write songs to make you think. the media doesn't want that. theres a war on quality music in general.

  • @LemonlyGamer because media makes more money dumbing people down and getting them to confuse young and old alike on what music is and can be.....

  • @LemonlyGamer Taylor Swift isn't even that bad. Surely you can think of worse radio garbage than her. David Guetta? Kesha? Gaga? Usher? Compared to most of what's actually out there, Taylor Swift is pretty damn respectable. Not saying she beats Kanno, but still, give her a break. There are MUCH juicier examples of shit music than her.

  • @mikeweedmark yeah we know that shes not as bad as all of the others but still they play songs of hers and many other artists like that songs WAY to much on the radio and it gets really annoying.......Thats the only reason why i dont like them as much anymore.....i used to listen to the radio through out the whole night but know i dont listen to crap because i get up and hear the same song i hear like 2 minutes ago

  • @LemonlyGamer caz they dont let good music on the radio any more or i just dont hear any good music on the radio any more

  • @LemonlyGamer I love Yoko Kanno, but don't you ever talk about Taylor Swift that way.

    She's AMERICAN.

    FUCK YEAH.

  • @1337Kira I have to agree with lemonlygamer, America does force feed us shit. Though Yoko Kanno is good, I can recommend Seikou Nagaoka or even Yuka Tsujiyoko. Check my page out.

  • @LemonlyGamer

Because this wonderful music doesn't fit some formulaic idea of what a radio programmerl ikes.

Too bad they and hear cannot see the beauty in this music.

  • @LemonlyGamer Because not many people can write like Yoko Kanno. Not a surprise really. She is a master of her craft.

  • @LemonlyGamer Because the average listener has the musical taste of a gerbil.

  • @LemonlyGamer Cause most people cant show respect for it.

They need rhythm to know that its supposed to be misic. There are not that many people who appreciate a fine melody instead of the boom boom you have to listen to in the radio....

  • @LemonlyGamer you need to get serious satellite radio... lol

  • @LemonlyGamer because we live in America and people don't tend to play songs that they can't understand.

  • this is yoko kanno (aka gabriella robin) singing, not origa. origa has performed this song before, but this recording is not from that time. she has a pretty distinct voice...

  • Yoko Kanno's music is simply magic. No other words to describe the awesome feeling that it gives.

  • Amazing!

  • great

  • yoko kanno is one of my all time favorites! What beautiful music!

  • This isn't Origa singing.

  • Oh if any one has found guitar tabs on this could they send this to me please, I so wish to play and I cant find it anywhere ;.;

  • Wow Yoko Kanno is so talented I love most of her songs :) so calming and peaceful, its sheer awesomeness. This type of music is what we need more of instead of crap which we usually hear , I wish more song writers could get inspired by this and make more songs with this level of calibre and QUALITY :/

  • @Zer0o11 ye mainstream bullshit needs to stop. mainstream is so retarded. all u have to sing about is the opposite sex, u can make a spin on it, making up, breaking up. whatever. but thats all it takes to get popular and get ppl to listen to u. its not even real music. its just fake shit. it pisses me off so much.

  • blackmoon is correct her music is magic.

  • GREAT!!

  • er....can you find this song on itunes? cuz i REALLY like this song, and another song, Sora....

  • @Kamaa1166 the song sora i have it if you want

  • @JockerWWj ohmg that would be awesome

  • dangit i cant find this on itunes!! nooo!!! :'(

  • My god...she is so brilliant. Her music always brings a tear to my eye, no matter what language it's in.

  • @Meadale This is not Origa singing, although she does have a rendition of this song that is more a combination of this Moon and a song by Aki Okui names Tsuki no Mayu.

Origa's rendition is titled as 'Origa - Moon Live Video ' on youtube. Search it.

  • Just two words for this song : So Magic :)

  • isn't this song featured in Turn A gundam?

interesting that they had this song.

  • Such a beautiful voice

  • Very beautiful

  • lol so the japanese ver is sang by yoko kanno while this eng is by origa? or both by origa? cos origa oso can sing jap

  • what language?

  • @HardcoreCowLip

Maybe no one. Like Cats on Mars or Green Bird.

  • @HardcoreCowLip

    latin

    english

russian...from what i've heard. there is a version on youtube with the lyrics.

  • Who thought Yoko Kanno could sing this well! I wish the live where she performed it was available!

  • @Marujoreinu you should listen to her song ''Sora'' :)

  • Beautiful song :)

  • I don't think this is Origa's version of Moon though, I remember Ms. Kanno herself perform this version of Moon.

  • I don't just like this video, I LOVE IT!!!! XD <3

  • I don't think there is a bad version of this song.

    Simply wonderful!

  • I don't normally dig women older than myself, but I'd love to go on a date with Yoko Kanno. :)

  • @retnur

OFC you would, she is a GOD

  • thks to Turn A Gundam i discovered this mastepiece, 5/5...

  • thks to Turn A Gundam i discovered this mastepiece, 5/5...

  • No, G.Robin and Origa aren't the same person, besides their voices are very different. Both rock :)

This song is sung by Gabriela Robin, I don't know if Origa version exist.

  • @shiftingCat

It does. I think it's live.

  • @shiftingCat origa sings this song live one time u can find a video here on youtube =)

  • im speechless

  • i just love this song,,, i have no idea that yoko kanno made this so beatiful song...

  • good song

  • i assume thats yoko in the picture? a beautiful lady.

  • shes 46 :o

  • a beautiful lady that looks somewhat like a guy, lol

  • This song is actually sung by Gabriela Robin, I'm not sure if anyone has pointed it out. Even though it's not Origa, it's still beautiful. I love this version.

  • @erdeianett yoko kanno is gabriela robin. fucking crazy how her voice is that beautiful, look that beutiful, and compose the most beautiful music.

  • isn't Gabriela Robin and Yoko Kanno the same person?

  • latin again? love it

  • Yoko really has a beautiful voice. This is the first I have heard of her. labelashavoc (:~>?=

  • Origa sings this song in

    Russian and Japenese.

    Yoko Kanno composed the music.

For the ghost in the shell openings they also added in English.

  • Yeah she does, but this version is so much better. It adds an authenticity that's deeply rooted in the anime that it's born from.

  • Turn A Gundam!

  • what are some of her other good songs please?

  • Look any of the Wolf's Rain soundtracks, or Ghost in the Shell or Cowboy Bebop. Just search around for those on youtube, and check out the related links.

  • thanks greatly appreicated..

  • AHAHA....so much.

Cowboy Bebop OST, Escaflowne, Wolf's Rain, her work in Macross, this, Ghost in the Shell: Stand alone complex. She is amazing. A savant of music composition.

  • I really like Ragnarok 2's "Intro Theme", also by Yoko Kanno.

  • @HappyBirthdaySANTA try requim for midori that is a only yokko kanno song or diva for origa

  • WOW RANDOM it's the first time i heard this by accident!!! I have to say i feel reborn this is amazing feel like running to the top of a mountain & yelling (save the world feelings) 2010 just keeps getting better i feel so enlightened.. peace /|\

  • Gabriera is another name of Yoko Kanno when she sings.

In the live "Tanabata Sonic" last year, she sang this song as last song.

This is the famous fact for Japanese fans.

  • i listenened to this song and clouds filled my eyes as i pictured epic battles andlove and death and sorrow and joy. it almost made me cry.

Even before the harp started up, there was a celtic touch to it. I like it!

  • Propabbly Gabriela Robin Isn't Yoko Kanno, and it's only another urban legend. But only propabbly

  • This theme is Moon for Gabriela Robin, not for Origa...

Gabriela Robin is Yoko Kanno XD......

  • wow... this song is so calming... yoko kanno? is she the one who made the RO2 openning music?

  • not gabriela robin and yoko kano are the same person

  • Yoko Kanno = Japenese, and it was like a orchestra.

Origa/ Gabriela Robin = Russain, she sang the song. =]

  • um, Gabriela Robin's a pseudonym For Yoko Kanno ^_^;

  • yeah. .. ur wrong hehe.

    Origa is the russian singer.

    Yoko kanno is a composer.

Gabriela Robin is another person. (no one knows who she is. But people think its Yoko. But no one knows for sure since there are printet interviews witht the name Robin. Only thing leading to it is she was suposse to sing to a concert in 07. But didnt show up. instead Yoko herself sang. But she has never said she is Robin.) Not from what ive seen.

  • Yoko = Robin, They confirm that in the last year concert.

  • She's not Origa. Origa is the one who sang in the concert but Yoko Kanno recorded this song as Gabriela Robin.

  • This chick did wolf's rain sweet

  • Beautiful....

  • Is this Latin? I believe so.

  • I don't think it's Latin, although I can see why you'd think that.

  • love the music

  • Yoko Kanno is the person who is strange in Japan. Therefore the special feature of Yoko Kanno was produced with a magazine.

  • Love this song.

  • i'm not sure, but is this a japanese song? because of the name of the artist. but for me it doesn't really sound japanese

  • You're right, it's not japanese. It's Russian I believe. Origa is a Russian singer. She's just signed under a japanese organization.

  • The original singer maybe but the singer in this verson is Japanese

  • in somes of her songs she has a 'gibberish language'

  • ... and this is the case. However, considering what Turn-A tells about, I think it's nice to assume that's Moon Race language :)

  • this youtube version of the song has the better sound. Whats up with gundam anyway?

  • epic song!
