  • my mom bought me a sig and i feel pertty dam good.

  • I agree with not using birthday and holiday money to buy. Do something with your S-O or your family or something with the money and you'll be glad you did.

  • If you are gunna make a video on a firearm or anything made to kill, you should either be an expert or at least highly experienced.

I can tell the guy who made this is neither. Too many little mistakes that an expert would be chewed out for.

FYI I am a highly professionally trained expert with many firearms including the Sig Sauer P226.

  • I so agree with what you said about practising instead of just getting big caliber. Actually when people complain about guns been dangerous, it´s largely beacause some idiots who by a gun but don´t practise safety or accuracy. Gun in sensible hands can be an extra life insurance but yeah, the point is that the owner has to know what their doing, othervise it really becomes just an extra threat.

  • LOL! You sound like you hate the great state of California.

  • Any bullet will kill... Anything can kill you, surprisingly

  • A good gun will feel good regardless of where the gun came from.

  • I really like your philosophy at the beginning. I'm a freshman now, but I plan to be an armorer in the US Army out of college. I want a career in firearms, and I go to the range somewhat, and rent guns (supervised obviously, and with my own earned money) to learn safety, marksmanship, etc. I don't know much, but I can say that is a fine piece there.

  • $780 new, $840 new with siglites here. Worth it?

  • @homerow45 Seems like a pretty good price for a new one

  • Great video and great common sense, thanks for sharing

Your P226 in 9MM is it capable of adding a .357 slide and barrel onto the receiver?

  • @MsQuestor I don't think so. They do have conversion kits to fire .22LR but I don't think you can fire .357SIG from the same frame.

  • @MsQuestor the .40 and the .357 sig barrels are interchangeable, you just need to change the barrel. The nine is not. Same with Glock. I'm not sure about the mags. I know with a glock a .40 and .357sig mags are interchangeable. The newer P226 are all built on the same frame but the ejector might be different than a 9mm since the .40 and .357sig have a wider case based on the 10mm. The .357 sig is simply a .40 case necked down accept a 9mm bullet. I'm not sure about replacing the slide

  • @MsQuestor I'm not certain but I believe you'd be able to swap out the barrel on a .40S&W to .357 SIG barrel and have it function.

  • @MsQuestor

i believe the .357 sig and .40s&w are convertable to accommodate 9mm but not vice-versa. not 100% though. I own a 226 in 9mm and have been asking the same question. Consensus seems to be that the 9mm is better left unaltered. Besides with good shot placement, 9mm can no doubt get the job done.

  • Great review, I wish others could review with your "real world" take on things. I loved 5:35 "Somebody gonna get hurt real bad!" Russel Peters is a great comedian!!!

  • always use the de-cocker to lower the hammer, other wise the gun is not "drop-safe"

  • I'm getting an ar-15 for Christmas =)

  • you know what makes california lame? the people

  • XD gadgets? Like the backstrap safety and trigger safety? There's no manual safeties there.

  • Your review sucked. And you were insulting. Frankly it's not your business that "people who look like they don't have jobs" have nice guns or not. Are you jealous that somebody who "looks" like they don't have money has a gun as nice as yours? As long as they didn't steal the gun or got it by some illegal means, who cares? With this economy, I think it's stupid to be making comments about "people who look like they don't have a job" you used your "hard earned money" to buy a sig..whoo-hooo..Yo

  • @sunandmoon111 go get a job.

  • I laugh at people who say 9mm don't kill yet you'll never see there asses on the front line ready to take a bullet from one now do u? Lol at the part about not shooting people much.

  • Awesome airsoft gun! i have the clear one!

  • @FlyingMonkeyTV You trolling?

this isn't an airsoft realistic imitation weapon. It's the real deal.

  • pretentious fuck

  • Don't blow stuff up on your free time. Thats the fun of being American.

  • LOL..Who thinks this gun won't kill when it's deadly accurate...Meaning you can get headshots!..

  • "And by great, I mean WEAK." Made me laugh haha.

  • stop bitching about cali gun laws. at least you can buy marijuana at medical marijuana shops that are all over your state. here in virginia you can conceal carry and have high capacity magazines, but no smoking herb, not even for medical purposes.

  • @TheBrindleBoxer good it saves some of your brain cells

  • get the hell out of PRoC (Peoples Republic of California)

  • This gun doesn't kill, lmao

  • ASG ?

  • My weapon of choice is Glock 17.

  • @MrJacesteel Good choice.

  • I say the don't use Christmas money thing goes for everything not just guns, Christmas money is for stuffing your face

  • @BALJIT147 or alcohol :D

  • ahahaha "the 9mm doesn't kill" is only what the action movie nuts say, where they only shoot Deagles. the 9mm has killed lots of people.

  • @ThePurpleNinja4209 Just kids whose play CoD say things like that.

  • @caiosantosrds that's funny, because only the CoD bitches say things like "the 9mm doesn't kill." Helooo, it's 115 grains of lead NINE MILLIMETERS in diameter at supersonic speeds entering your body and exiting out the other side, let alone heavier loads, +p or +p+, and hollowpoint rounds. Yes, the 9mm DOES kill.

  • @ThePurpleNinja4209 I know that,i think happened one misunderstanding,i was referring about the "the 9mm doesn't kill" boy.

  • Nice vid

  • That's a good and practical review! I also live in the great (stupid) state of New Jersey, where even the BB gun is considered fire arms (taser or stunt guns are totally banned). I have just applied for gun permit and my 1st choice is definitely Sig (followed by Glock 19).

  • no external safety?

  • @ELREYDELAMOTA13 If you look on the control side by the mag eject button there is a de-cocker lever that goes down, that drops the hammer without striking the firing pin.... He lied to you and he owns it.....

  • @ELREYDELAMOTA13

The decocker and 10lbs DA trigger pull are the external safeties on this pistol, and of course keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to fire

  • @faheykj of course us 11 series military types no that (smile)

  • mine is certified refurbished for 400 doolars here in texa think it wa a SAPD issued.

  • hopefully the Military will replace the M9 with the p226

  • @opfor97 I agree man. The M9 is a piece of shit. I would rather carry two rifles around than carry a side arm.

  • @opfor97 The P226 was in the trials, and lost to the P226. Sig would most likely develop another sidearm for the next trials whenever they had one instead of using the losing pistol. I do like the M9 but the sig P226 has it beat in my opinion.

  • GREAT PURCHASE. I OWN A P229 AND I THINK I WILL BUY THE 226 NEXT. YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH A SIG.

  • What a beautiful gun. Carried the 226 .40 SW in DC. Hard to beat. Only thing is the expense and there are higher capacity magazines for other options like the PX4 and FNX. But I doubt they feel as nice as this thing. Glocks are just pieces of crap.

One thing that should always be reviewed is the pull especially with a double action/ single action gun like this. Pull is kinda important for accuracy.

  • Please,but Is it plastic ?

  • is it expensive

  • HAHAHAHA, "...as in great I mean LAME!" Move to NC man, we need more people like you to dilute all the San Fran nut jobs coming here!

  • Good comment about buying it with your own hard earned cash. Nice vid.

  • Dude, your the man. Just sayin.

  • Damn i love this pistol , Easy Maintainance & Light weight.

  • I purchased my Sig Sauer P226 back in 1988. 15 round clips and I still own it. Mine says made in W Germany on the side of it. The guns considered were the Ruger P85(too heavy) the Berretta 92F and the Sig Sauer P226. My friend and I were CCW holders in NY and we decided 2 go with the P226. I believe NYC police did the same. Great gun. A little large for concealed carry, but very accurate and no recoil. I will never sell this gun. I like it better than my Glock 30. BTW 9mm is a very lethal round.

  • Dude you go so ripped off i bought one of these today at a local academy for 399.00

  • Comment removed

  • "if you're a kid..." whaat?

  • "somebody gonna get hurt real bad"....lol are you a russel peters fan by chance?

  • i personally agree, with your own philosiphy. working for what u want is the shit.. as much as it sucks.. we werent born to work.. modern day slaves..but hey. thats why we got these guns in the first place, right? hahahah

  • I have this same exact pistol! It was stolen 7 years ago but it was returned to me today!!

  • I'm so happy today! 7 years ago my sig p226 was stolen and today it was returned to me!!!! One of the best days of my life.

  • Dear Santa . . . .

  • Great vid, thank god I don't live in a commie state

  • I'm so right there with you on the "sweat of your brow" opinion. Nothing feels better than seeing your money at work, or fun in this case. I do some shooting, but mostly archery, and some of the bows I own cost me quite a bit, but was well worth it.

  • California should change its name to Commiefornia...

  • your rant about buying a weapon with your own hard owned money is spot on....subbed you just for that....God Bless

  • Great Video, Thank u for it man.

  • I sold many crack rocks to buy this.it was hard earned money

  • haha from what i heard cali sux

  • California fuckin sucks.

  • I got the same model $500 used! love it.

  • California is an AWESOME state to live in, minus the bullshit laws we have... -.-

  • What kind of a retarded hillbilly redneck would say "9mm doesn't kill"...WTF

  • dude your rambling on just review the fucking gun. dont tell me to buy it with my own earned money dont tell me to train just fucking talk about the GUN

  • LOL, Don't plan on shooting people much.

  • 9mm DO kill! I've heard that a police blew off a knee with the Sig P226 9mm.

  • It sounds like California sucks.

  • @MegaMasterspy just a little haha

  • @MegaMasterspy CA does suck the big one. The Legislaturds come up with the most retarded gun laws...

  • the finish is durable and those handguns ????

  • hows the reliability on this gun compared to the glock 19?

  • Just the other day I held a P226 for the first time and I instantly fell in love with it. I too also like the feel of this gun over the Glock (the Glock is an amazing pistol just not for me).

  • whats the price for this gun?

  • is there a compact for p226?

  • @azn1980 Yes, the P228 and P229 are compact variants.

  • @zaraa03 The P239 is a good compact version as well.

  • @zaraa03 i carried one of these in afghanistan, as a pointman i needed a sidearm, because my rifle is slung and im using a metal detector. i, personally, think that the weapon itself is adequit, however... the magazines (brand new ones!!) are total rubbish. several times i drew this SIG to fire, and after 3-4 rounds i would get a stoppage. purely because of the weak springs in the mags. cudv cost me my life as u can imagine. how often do u use urs? and do u get the same problems?

  • @Mick8598 I only shoot it every few months. So far, I haven't had any issues with the magazine at all, and the mags are pretty old too.

  • @zaraa03 maybe it could be put down to the conditions. or maybe we wer unlucky and got a shit batch of mags haha. anyway, thanks for replying.

  • @azn1980 If you are looking for a compact Sig I assume you are looking for smaller and lighter, the Sig P250 compact is an excellent choice, it comes in 9mm, 40 Auto, and 45 Auto. You can get it in compact, and sub-compact. I carry that all the time even in shorts it is a great pistol, selling points, compact, light, holds 16 rounds of 9mm, AND it is a Sig, but a 500 dollar Sig, not a 1,000 dollar Sig :)

  • @azn1980 im moving moving out out of cali cali

  • Give me an example of a "piece of crap" gun.

  • @aaronrocs

Okay anything that is made by hi-point or lorcin.

  • @aaronrocs Raven, Jimenez, Lorcin, Bryco, to some extent Hi-Point. There's a bunch of lesser known gun companies out there that manufacture shit firearms at cheap prices. Even well-established companies like Taurus have absurd amounts of "lemons" on the market. It's always important to take a good look at the buisness model of a particular manufacturer to see how they operate. Some like to sell guns unfinished and use the money they made off it to refine it to full specs later.

  • If 9mm is not enough get a fucken 50 cal

  • 9mm doesn't kill my ass. Just ask you're self how many years have the seals been relying on the sig p226 as a secondary?

  • sorry for you living in the communist republic

  • Your right, your 9mm dosen't kill. At least not me. The only thing that kills me is Kryptonite! lol

  • Thanks for this review! I appreciate your candid opinions about the gun, as well as your philosophy.

Oh, and LOL at the Russell Peters reference.

  • Lol@ 9mm doesn't kill. That's a bunch of malarkey. if you take a round going 1200 fps to the heart, or head, you will definitely be killed.

  • @cardiacthapoet Yeah, a lot of people have noted this. Of course if you take any round to a vital organ, it's going to put you down, but I think people who say that "9mm doesn't kill" mean that the larger calibers will produce enough hydrostatic shock to stop a target even if the bullet does not hit the heart or brain, while the 9mm will require much more careful shot placement for the similar results.

  • @zaraa03 I've heard that you have to spread the shots out with 9mm. You can't hit the same place numerous times. If you hit different areas with each shot, the it's more effective on the pain receptors.

  • @zaraa03

Not so much. I forgot who did a study but they found that 9mm JHP is just as effective as an 45 ACP JHP, mostly due to advances bullet metalurgy and manufacturing. Hollowpoints expand much more reliably now, enough so that both bullets are considered essentially equal.

Main reason why LE moved away from 9mm to .40 was because 9mm doesn't penetrate car doors and windshields as effectively (LE would often face suspects charging at them in a car or taking cover behind such).

  • @zaraa03

Actually the 9mm is great for stopping power. I'd take a 147 grain hollow point at 1000 fps over a 230 grain hollow point going 820 fps. Definitely Since you get 15-19 rounds with a standard mag vs 7-8. And if you don't mind what is the CCW law in the shitty state of cali? Is it not legal at all or just very difficult to get?

  • @tubevideoguy762 It is possible to get but it is very very difficult (almost impossible) in most counties.

  • @zaraa03

How "impossible" is it. I have a cousin in cali who has a valid ccw license and he said it was a huge headache and unlike other states you have to list all the specific guns you're going to carry.

  • @tubevideoguy762 Weren't Hollow Point rounds outlawed against human targets under "Cruel and Unusual Punishment"?

  • @recurveninja

????? Well ignorant people think that hollow point rounds cause more suffering even though they kill quicker and fmj rounds just wound and over penetrate. That is an international law regarding warfare and civilians do not have to follow those. The most common type of defense ammunition in the use is the hollow point bullet.

  • @tubevideoguy762 Hollow Point bullets DO cause extra suffering, they fray out inside the target, completely shredding their insides. In weapon terms, a normal round is comparable to a pocket knife, and a Hollow Point to a Cat-O'-Nine-Tails. Completely different animals.

  • @recurveninja

Hollow points cause extra damage not suffering the larger and nastier the wound the quicker and more painless the target dies. Equaling less suffering. I know at least enough about bullet design to say that a hollow point is more effective and should not be banned for use in combat.

  • @tubevideoguy762 "cause extra damage not suffering the larger and nastier the wound the quicker and more painless the target dies." Are you stoned? That's like saying a shotgun blast to the chest hurts less than a pin prick. You may know a ~little~ about bullet design, but obviously you know nothing about pain.

  • @recurveninja

Whatever man think what you want but I just cannot understand how you don't get what I'm saying extra damage to the target kills them much faster meaning they suffer a shorter period of time. Which would kill you quicker getting hit by a semi at 70mph or getting hit multiple times by a hammer. I think we can agree the truck would cause more damage therefore instant death.

  • @tubevideoguy762 Sure, more damage can sometimes lead to faster death, but that does NOT mean there is less suffering. If you stab a guy in the chest and leave him to bleed out, that's painful, but if you blow his leg off with a shotgun and leave him to bleed out, that's excrutiating. More damage does not mean less suffering.

  • This gun is used by almost all sercret service, law enforcement, and the FBI. Shot this when I was 10, a reaaly good gun.

  • @somedirtyangel Plenty of other reviews out there with nice watches and non-wimpy bracelets, buddy. Move along.

  • @zaraa03 Yeah but I came to watch yours, and it was disappointing. Hopes and dreams were shattered on that day!

  • @zaraa03

Do you know if it's true that in CA you have to list every individual pistol on a ccw license?

  • @tubevideoguy762 I think so but I'm not sure.

  • @tubevideoguy762 i live in california and to buy a handgun you have to pass a writen test to get a handgun safety certificate then you buy the gun and have a 10 day waiting period .. for a ccw there hard to obtain my county rarely gives out concealed carry licenses very hard .. and i live in the second most dangerous place in cali and you cant even get a ccw its bs o and yes you can only register one of your guns

  • @boozeye66

Wow one gun well I guess that rules out carrying a different weapon depending on the situation. I wonder when the government will realize that the more dangerous an area the more reason there is to have civilians armed 24/7. Banning guns because of shooting is like banning water because of drownings. It cannot be done.

  • @tubevideoguy762 i agree with you man cal gun laws are rediculous i here nyc is pretty tough also ..

  • @somedirtyangel I'm sure you mean well but this is an un-necessary comment. I enjoyed his presentation and thank him for posting it.

  • @somedirtyangel Owned.....

  • @MrPhrob Owned? Haha, who the fuck are you?

  • @somedirtyangel I'm just kidding, although I did think what you said was quite rude after this guy spent his own time putting this up for the benefit of others.

  • @MrPhrob This review was horrible. No, it was beyond horrible. It was like a kid doing an airsoft review, but with a real gun! At least he did check the chamber first. But, I probably would have been all for it and laughed my ass off it he busted a round off on camera. haha

  • @somedirtyangel Okay, I watched it a second time and I can kinda see what your talking about with the "philosophy" :P And yes, I would enjoy that also, but other than that I appreciate him putting this up.

  • @MrPhrob Well thankyou. Kudos for him putting it up. Now tell this guy to remake this review where he bust a cap off on camera! lol It would be funny, shit, I think I'm going to do. haha

  • @somedirtyangel Well you'll definitely make my day if you do.

  • @MrPhrob I'd have to use a firearm from a friend of course, the Five-O confiscated mine. You know what I mean brother? Damn pigs just be taken our shit!

  • @somedirtyangel Do you live in the States or Canada? And what firearm of yours did they take?

  • @MrPhrob I live in the States. They took my AT4 from me. They said I couldn't have this, I'm not allowed. This was right after the confiscated my C4 and pipe bombs. They didn't find my Israeli made Uzi's and Colt M4A1 carbine rifles though, and I still have some Glock 18's and Beretta M93R's.

  • @somedirtyangel You're joking aren't you?

  • @MrPhrob I'm defiantly joking man.

  • @somedirtyangel Ha i thought so, but you never know, there's some pretty crazy people out there with shit like that. I live in Canada where the gun laws suck.

  • @ 2:08 I don't really plan on using this to shoot people that much.... hahaha awesome....

  • 7 people got the glock

  • this felt solid in my hands ... almost like a G37!

  • @torontothegood Or! Like a G6! Like a G6! lol

  • @somedirtyangel what dat?

  • "I don't plan on shooting people...that much" xD I lol'd

  • Nice Russell Peters bit. I laughed.

  • I would just like to point out that California is one of the few states that DON'T require a license or permit to own a gun. It is also much easier to purchase one as all that is required is a HSC. As with every state, they have laws that suck and and laws that are better.

  • I'm sorry you have to live in liberal California. I'm happy with Utah :)

  • beautiful gun

  • Does it have a triangle shape on the top of the slide?

  • @SilencedReviews Not sure what you mean... but no, there isn't any triangle

  • @zaraa03 the older sigs have a triangle shape that stretches from the ejection port to maybe a bit past halfway to the front of the side

  • @SilencedReviews Oh I see... then yes, it does have it.

  • Thanks, this sent me over the edge to go ahead and get a Sig sauer P226. Im a 14 year old boy living in california, which sucks, and earned cash all year to buy a new gun. currently own a Glock 17, sorta,(not 21) but its mine, with my money. The Glock 17 is outstanding. Reccomend it to anyone. ive put about 600 rounds through it so far and 0 problems. look forward to shoting my P226 hanks alot.

  • @RockWithaGlock Congrats, you'll really enjoy it.

  • @zaraa03 you can shoot a gun at 14?

  • the police in my contry have that one

  • 9mm does not kill????

well i dont know who said this, but if I put a double tap in his chest and one in its head........we'll see who's dead............jeeez

  • @Zsolthay one shot with 9mm is enough to kill and most cases it will, or the killer can't shoot for shit. even .22 lr is lethal... school shootings in finland were made by using sig sauer mosquito and walther ppk .22 lr... in both cases the casualties were around 10 ppl.

  • @0mistaja it is true...........i just said because i got used to firing double taps.

  • the 9mm might not have the stopping power of other guns but if you get hit with it its not like your just going to shake it off its still going to put you down.
