  • george castanza beat them just beleave the lie

  • you guys, think of 2 diff questions you can say yes or no too, when asked a question to say yes think of a diff 1 and reply

  • @satyriconlife that works?

  • @DUBmaster77 im not sure, but id like to put it to the test to find out, i would imagine it might work

  • polygraphs are only useful for sending innocent people to jail and breaking up relationships on maury

  • I fucken did 3 years in prison for nothing. FUCKEn detective have the audacity to even say in court that him and his partner believe that i decieved the test....... i got marked for life

  • Countermeasures: The quickest way to be found guilty or deceptive. I find that telling the truth seems to be the most effecient way to pass such tests.

  • @NegativeZero360 Actually, polygraphers have no demonstrated ability to detect polygraph countermeasures, and telling the truth is no guarantee that one will pass a polygraph. For more on polygraphy's lack of scientific underpinnings, see Chapter 1 of AntiPolygraph(dot)org's free book, The Lie Behind the Lie Detector.

  • @gwmaschke I still don't see how an experienced polygrapher couldn't detect countermeasures? I mean i am sure they can see patterns in your reactions to control questions and relevant questions?

  • @NegativeZero360 Properly applied countermeasures produce the kind of patterns that polygraphers expect to see from truthful persons. If you go to the polygraph literature (for example, the journal of the American Polygraph Association), you'll find that there are no journal articles or book chapters explaining how to detect the kinds of countermeasures outlined in The Lie Behind the Lie Detector.

  • @gwmaschke Alright, but if your countermeasures are inconsistent, in other words not properly executed at specified times what do you suspect the outcome to be?

  • @NegativeZero360 If one were to mistakenly augment reactions to a relevant question instead of a control question, then one might well end up failing.

  • @NegativeZero360 You can tell the truth and still fail the poly. It isn't a gauge of truth telling its a way of measuring someone's anxiety level. If somebody is a nervous person or on edge all the time they could tell the truth completely and still fail it. There is a reason that poly tests aren't admissable in a court of law. Because they are highly unreliable.

  • @FreemasonsAreAwesome I appreciate that, i completely understand now, maybe it would be effective in diagnosing schizophrenia huh? haha Thanks.

  • Those who administer polygraph tests are for the most part interrogators & that's why he got caught up in the end there & spilled the beans lol

I'd hate the thought of having to go through this to possibly get a job or for anything court related...

  • "Slightly racy gentleman's thoughts" lol! Nick, you're a legend!

  • How is this video helpful at all? He used all the techniques outlined in the beginning of the video and at the end and failed miserably.

  • @vladimirhorowitz Please see the text information associated with this video.

  • @AntiPolygraph Ah, my fault. Thanks for the quick response. Out of curiosity have you seen the Mythbusters take on this? The two individuals using countermeasures (mental techniques and the tack) failed, but the individual telling the truth passed.

  • @vladimirhorowitz For relevant commentary, Google "Mythbusters Beat the Lie Detector Episode Featuring Phony Ph.D. 'Dr.' Michael Martin."

  • So when your blood pressure is UP, does it mean you're telling the truth? Because he said constrict your anal sphincter muscles. That would make your blood pressure go up.

  • haha neko krade jaffa kekse

  • is this the guy from hot fuzz or do all chubby people from the UK look like him?

  • I WORK FOR A TALK SHOW IN CT. LOOKING FOR 18 - 45 YEAR OLDS WITH CHEATING STORIES FOR STEVE WILKOS SHOW! FREE TRIP + CASH! CALL 203-564-5227 OR REPLY HERE!!!

  • A man buys a lie detector robot that slaps people who lie. He decides to test it at dinner.

DAD: Son, where were you today during school hours?

    SON: At school*Robot slaps Son*

SON: OK,I went to the movies.

    DAD: Which one?

SON: Toy Story*Robot slaps son again*

SON: OK, it was Day with a Porn Star.

DAD: WHAT? When I was your age I didn't even know what porn was!*Robot slaps Dad*

MOM: HAHA! After all he's your son.*Robot slaps mom*

  • @JessePlaysGuitar

Wow! This was a good read :)

  • @JessePlaysGuitar

    ahaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahaahhahahahaahhaaaahhahaaaahahahahhaaaaaaaahaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahhahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahahaha. No.

  • "Polygraph" ...

    /watch?v=puVfsNBW5ms

  • LOL. The guy when he's talking about how he stole the food, I hear, "Please sir, can I have some more?"

  • what's a sphincter muscle? sorry i'm not an english speaker

  • @ImAPainTer80 Its your ass

  • @ImAPainTer80 a sphincter is basically a ring of muscle that can open and close. There are over 40 of them in the human body including the mouth, the iris, the esophogus, etc.. in this case, it's your anus.

  • @ImAPainTer80 Pucker up, basically.

  • Thats funny, because technically he did beat the lie detector? The measurements of both the control and relevant questions where the same? The operator of the machine was basing the one basing his opinion on results. I do not get it? wtf

  • Yeah, the world can't go on without lies! Lies should not be detected!

  • His random and creepy smile at 1:16 makes me crack up everytime!

  • @bendzo 129

unless you have something to hide then refusing a polygraph test is a clear sign that you have something that should be brought out in the open about the investiagation

  • 2:24 giggles, thinks "I can do that, how fun"

  • There are actually two ways to beat a lie detector. Just as extremely dishonest people can lie and make it think they are telling a truth, extremely honest people can tell a truth and make it think they are lying. Polygraph is not allowed in court, but police use them to charge innocent people all the time. Never take a polygraph test at the request of law. Refusing is NOT an admission of guilt, either. Anyone taking the word of a polygraph is a liar and false witness themselves.

  • interpreting the machine with women is very easy,. When they say yes it measn no and viceversa. No wires needed.

  • its allllll in the ass baby :)

  • HAY I DIDN'T NEED A TEST TO KNOW THAT DUFF "ATE THE JAFFA CAKES" DID ANYONE??!! I would never trust one of those tests!! I had a friend that for a job had to take one for a job.and it showed him as a "liar" on something that I know was not a lie! They went through every possible "illeal act" with him one by one..HE PASSED/ then just starting the orginal question/it went off! B.S.! Oh and Scum "green river killer.. ridgway PASSED! so he kills what 40+ more young ladies__ What CRAP!

  • He did beat the test. What the guy clearly says is that he's assuming that something is fishy because of the results. He's assuming that a poor test means the person is lying, which isn't a conclusion of the test.

  • only niggas goin on maury need this...

  • I know how to beat it. DON'T SAY ANYTHING. :D

  • amazing

  • he looks like the guy from shaun of the dead

  • @1987Challenger3 he is the guy from Shaun of the Dead.

  • i just dont understand why anyone lies in the fucking first place?

  • @Mruhl316 Because the truth is dangerous in a world that reveres falsehoods. Civil Liberties are being destroyed at a staggering rate and abuse of technology is the MO of enforcement.

  • Wanna know why polygraphs aren't as rampart in the UK as they are in the US?

    Because Brits aren't fucking stupid.

  • .

Polygraphs are complete and utter quackery.

It's OBVIOUS that your heart rate will go up, and that you'll start to sweat and feel nervous as hell. (okay, MOST people would... some individuals have the ability to stay calm in any situation...)

Polygraphs are ONLY good for sending innocent people to jail.

  • @SlLENTHlLL they are very accurate about 93% accurate actually but since there is a 7% chance they are generally inadmissible in court...im sure you definately wouldnt be able to pass if ur life depended on it

  • @SlLENTHlLL nervousness does not affect a lie detector test, polygraphers are trained to be able to distinguish between a lie and a nervous reaction. They run a series of questions first that will produce little or no feeling, such as is your name john.your body is being measured in 4 different ways: heartrate, galvanic skin responses, breathing at the diaphragm, and breathing at the chest. If you lie, chances are all four of these areas will respond. Nervousness will affect one of these areas.

  • @SlLENTHlLL lol polygraphs arent admissible in court lol.

  • haditha27: I HONESTLY, doubt you OR YOUR examiner knew / know what the hell you both were doing. I dont expect someone like you to understand the world of polygraph. I am NOT concerned with what you believe about me or my education. Frankly, you cant hold a match stick......LOL. I am POSITIVE that I can interview you and BREAK your ass down on my instrument.....Dont HATE what you DONT understand........Go sing your song and dance elsewhere.....ROTFLMAO AT YOU!!!!!

  • Oh , im doing it NOW. bahahahaahhaahhahahahahaahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahah lmao lmao lmao lmao

  • cant you just think in your a head a different question

    like for example

if they ask u did u steal it...

cant u think in your a head a question that u know is wrong and say no and the test reads that correct

  • @seanieboy2725 I've had to take one before but had no reason to lie. I have thought of that as well, seems like you could. Like if they asked you "did you kill Bill on the night of June 3rd" and you think in your head "have I ever been to Mars" and just say "no". Guess it depends on the individual.

  • @justbecuz41 wait does that work? just think of something different in ur mind and answer no?

  • u know whats funny ....if your a sociopath or sum w a serious mental issue they will lie and heart rate wont go up, it will stay steady now i dont get why police and all these federal jobs want a polygraph test before hire if some with those issues can pass n get in

  • @lydiae1404 actually sociopaths aren't immune to stress and frequently have a heightened stress response over normal people, they just don't feel emotional connections with other people. In point of fact, unprepared sociopaths usually fail these tests miserably because they are stressed over how to beat it.

  • what if you simply dont feel bad about what you did? also, would for example biting your toung (causing pain) help?

  • Comment removed

  • What if someone has something like PTSD or something like that? It's hard for some people to relax, whether they are lying or not.

I think some of these techniques at best can at least confuse the detector and confuse the analyst.

This is not' 100% proof and any mental/medical conditions should be given before taking one. That's my opinion.

Decades, centuries ago, people who had mental illness were tossed in mental institutions because they were thought to be crazy. This is kind of similar.

  • try beta blockers or a drug from pharmacist called valium

    they keep everything normal

  • actually George says that valium wont work.. so i dunno.

  • You say: (that it's all a big fraud.) LOL

Ok, tell me if I have this correct.....You had to submit to a polygraph once (Sounds like you failed). So in an attempt to avoid any further embarassment you went and

    educated yourself in polygraph.

After polygraph school, you twisted the the "tools" to go either way, so no one else appears as uneducated as you....

Must have been a specific issue polygraph (I wonder what crime you committed)????

  • it is a pretty bad deal for the person being interrogated when the fact that police and anything related to them is already pretty excruciating. don't they all automatically fail if their heart is racing? i would be one to be nervous as hell, as i have never had any bad run-ins with the law... aside from some everyday citations... bastards.

  • I have read your comment and also have read "glocker8888's" comments. I have learned this......regardless of his opinions, your opinions, or anyone else's opinion (Be it polygraph or the law), there is NO SENSE in holding a dialogue with such ignorance.

  • Funny....Sounds like I struck a nerve....The polygraph is as ONLY as GOOD as the EXAMINER.......Your comments read as if you had a BAD experience with the polygraph....(You probably failed one, LOL). Poor guy.

  • relevant (e.g. "Did you rape and kill little Suzie?").....to use "and / or" when asking a relevant question could make the examinee think you are asking two questions at once, which will confuse the examinee. NOT A GOOD IDEA!!!

  • @70jamesbond Good point. Ask them separately. (e.g. "Did you rape little Suzie?" "Did you kill little Suzie?" "Did you eat little Suzie?" "Is any piece of little Suzie in your pocket at this time?" etc.)

    How remiss of me.

  • You can see wonderful examples of control, relevant and irrelevant questions being asked (along with a polygrapher's various attempts at a Best Actor award) during an actual polygraph here:

    tinyurl /actual-polygraph-video

  • Instructor???? NO. However, I am a certified polygraph examiner and have easily detected the "ASS" being practiced by a suspect during an examination. I am sure our views / opinions will differ in regards to the polygraph.....

  • @70jamesbond said "being practiced by a suspect during an examination"

"Suspect," eh? At least you're honest in not trying to hide your bias.

Too bad you're not honest about the true nature of polygraphy (that it's all a big fraud.) LOL

Oh and it's an "interrogation," not an "examination."

  • @70jamesbond said, "I am sure our views / opinions will differ in regards to the polygraph"

You make money by committing polygraph fraud. I know polygraphy's all a big hoax.

You're fuckin right we differ. Though I know that YOU also know it's all a big hoax. You scamming asshole.

  • @70jamesbond

I doubt ur a polygraph examiner.

I passed it with flying colors and didnt admit

to certain details on mine. Hell, they couldnt

tell at all. If u were, then u would admit to the truth

that ur little fucking box is nothing more than

a way to deceive people from reality. My examiner

was a former Police officer and an expert on

this bullshit for 25 yrs. So quit ur lying 007.

    Goldfinger awaits u.

  • he was so funny when he owned up!!!!

  • countermeasures work, trust me, they work,...

  • Comment removed

  • wonder how many jeremy kyle guests have watched this?

  • "i was hungry, and they were there, so i ate them"

  • The polygraph instrument is a tool. It also helps if you have a good examiner. Someone who knows how to speak with the examinee. The Anal Sphincter Sqeeze can easily be detected by the trained eye (Once P-1 and P-2 "Open up"). Also known as a countermeasure and will be an automatic "FAIL". Only someone with something to hide will attempt a countermeasure.........which once confronted by the examiner of the countermeasure, usually resultes in a confession.

  • @70jamesbond said "The Anal Sphincter Sqeeze can easily be detected by the trained eye"

I say: That must be some training program. Are you an instructor? yuck

@70jamesbond said "Only someone with something to hide will attempt a countermeasure"

I say: Or someone who doesn't want to be victimized by chicken-entrail/tealeaf-reading pseudoscience horseshit like polygraphy

@70jamesbond said "usually resultes in a confession"

I say: Only fools "confess" to quacks (e.g. polygraphers) LOL

  • only someone with something to hide will use countermeasures? Also, people who told the truth on a test, and were accused of lying, will also attempt countermeasures...

  • is it a good idea to post this?

  • @jessie360 Yes, the truth is always good to post.

It makes it harder for frauds and quacks (e.g. polygraphers) to commit their fraud and thievery

It also helps the innocent to protect themselves from being victimized by frauds and quacks (e.g. polygraphers)

  • ok what you do is think of somthing that make you feal fear.

  • @armenac92 No, what you do is identify the control (e.g. "Other than what you told me, have you ever...") questions and relevant (e.g. "Did you rape and kill little Suzie?") questions.

Then you pucker your asshole, raise your respiration above or below baseline and think of falling off a ladder during control questions; and you try to think of calm waters and swaying palm trees during relevant questions.

That's pretty much it. Oh and don't fall for the polygrapher's bullying. Act innocent.

  • When they do these tests with polygraphers, the examiner knows whats going on and that the person is gonna try countermeasures, so they just automatically accuse the person of using countermeasures.

  • I heard you can also beat it when you put a cucumber up your ass. Yeah I know its gross, but I heard it works.

  • lol

  • "hat did you ask me?? wait a sec, im just gona get somthing in there... uhh just a little somthing, uhhh.... yeha there you go. so what was the question?" ahahhaha

  • People who administer polygraph tests say that when a person lies, there heart rate and blood pressure goes up, and they generally have sweaty palms...UMMM no it doesn't usually. I can tell anyone a bold faced lie and be extremely calm. The polygraph test measures nervousness. The green river killer passed the polygraph test, and a guy who had been giving classified U.S. information to Russia for 9 years passed it twice. If it's not admissible in court, then why do they use it.

  • Polygraph administrators often trick candidates into confessions of wrong doings. This is done by telling a candidate that he/she had shown some form of a negative reaction (even if there was no reaction) when asked certain questions, encouraging them to elaborate. The candidate, thinking he/she has been cornered, will then confess with the hopes of a lighter punishment.

Polygraph administrators are assholes with a little training. Watch the Penn & Teller: Bullshit episode on lie detectors.

  • OIC

  • PS lol at

" constrict your anal sphincter muscle "

  • cool its nick frost

  • is this the guy from shawn of the dead?

  • YES.

  • ditto with lacofireguy but idk if it works or not llol

  • When I administer a Polygraph, I explain everything. I show the subject how it works. It's an instrument that records what your body is doing, that's it. What those recordings indicate tells a very vivid story. Simply clear up things with the examiner that are of a concern to you before the testing and you will pass (if you're being honest).

  • Burn in hell you fucking witch doctor

  • Hwy any help, is it possible to pass the lie detector if you are relax during the examination, and you don't react to booth controlled and relevant question, please help i done polygraph twice and became deceptive twice

  • DANNY!..from Hot Fuzz!...FUNNIEST movie ever!!!!

... and the zombie movie too

  • The Polygraph is so easy to beat you just confuse it completely like i did !

EG. NO when you mean YES on control and Y when you mean N. I used the thinking thoughts and falling off cliffs. Squeezed my buttocks. Held my breath and the results just came back as

    inconclusive !

    I wasn't given another test.

  • well the person giving the test even said his had reactions on the controlled and the relavent questions. and by that, he was able to tell he was lying. so when you are telling the truth and your thinking about hot girls/falling your pressure goes up so they know what your doing. anyone got other tips to beat it? or is this the only way?

  • Polygraphers fish for admissions. Unfortunately for Nick, the polygrapher got what he wanted when Nick took the bait by conceding to his "suspicion."

Former FBI researcher Dr. Richardson issued a challenge seven years ago to polygraphers. He designed an experiment and offered a reward to any polygrapher that can demonstrate an ability to detect countermeasures. Not one polygrapher has attempted the challenge.

Polygraphers cannot detect countermeasures, and polygraphs aren't lie detectors.

  • well anyway now they ask the ? more then one time now so yea it is a littel harder to beat it

  • what if you are an asshole? how does the lie detector come up with anything butt your telling the truth. squeezing your cheeks together travels all the way up to your lips giving a positive I.D. that you are indeed an asshole.

  • Polygraphs can definately be beaten I just beat one this morning. They said I passed with flying colors and I lied. All I did was just not thing about anything at all. I just concentrated on a spot on the wall infront of me and just answered the question. It was not hard at all.

  • Yeah, I have heard people when asked a question, ask them self their own question and answer it with truth. For example, Have you ever stole anything? In return you ask yourself do you like violence and you answer no. Its your question and you answered correctly. You pass, that was from a navy seal. Sounds good but who knows.

  • thats what i was thinking about

  • How do we know you're not lying right now? ;3

  • mate i need help my misses thinks im sleeping wif her brothers girl lol

    help me to pass please

  • @mocosa100 Well saying she "thinks" you are then that makes it sound like you aren't. So if you are telling the truth then you have nothing to worry about. BUT if you are sleeping around then all you need to do is brace yourself for what questions are going to be asked. They will tell you what questions you will be asked ahead of time and know your responses and try to keep your mind clear. Less than 10% of the worlds population can fool a lie detector. So good luck. I am one of the few that can

  • looooool its easy to beat it you just need the right medication

  • The guy offers techniques to raise your blood pressure and increase your heart rate. Thinking of hot women, thinking of falling off a bridge can increase your heart rate and raise your blood pressure. Isn't that what a polygraph looks for to detect lies? So isn't that giving yourself away? Or am I misunderstanding this?

  • It reads SPIKES in heartrate etc... If your heartrate is already elevated, the difference is what is detected.

  • what he is suggesting is that u raise ya BP on meaningless questions so that it makes the test pretty much undetectable.

  • lol, just lie about the control questions.

  • the examiner knows the answers to the control questions, they know how they need to be answered to be considered correct, thus 'control'

  • Is that Nick Frost from Hot Fuzz?

  • Yes it is.

  • No one can beat a polygraph machine. The only one that gets beat is the polygrapher. If the polygrapher doesn't know what to look for than anyone can get away. Asking irrelevant/relevant questions is a technique used by rookies that have no confidence in their ability to communicate with the person they are testing. A good polygrapher can crack anyone even if they are squeezing their ass and thinking about sex.

  • lmao are you stupid a nun can fail a polygraph retard i'm a police officer. i have passed and failed a polygraph on purpose. you can beat a polygraph.

  • Can I decline polygraph, I got invited to it please reply

  • Assuming that 1) you are in the United States and 2) you are not on probation or parole and polygraph "testing" is not among your probation/parole agreement, then yes, you can and should decline a polygraph.

  • im from slovenia and 15 years old i declined it but... i got busted cuz they fucking good detetives or i just couldnt lie gosh i coulda make it out -.-

  • is that the guy from hot fuzz?

  • LOL

    Name: George Maschke

    Job: Anti Lie Detector Campaigner

    Dislikes: Lie Detectors

    LMAO XD

  • But if you get so excited and you think about to tell wrong answer but then you tell the truth...Did polygraph see that you really didnt lied

  • What if I squeeze to all the questions they ask me, even if im telling the truth.

  • You'll have false readings and be invited to retest or outright fail

  • You cant beat a lie detector test. Not one person in here, ever, has taken one, yet alone beat one. They are repeating nonsense they have heard in the past.

  • It is possible to beat the lie detector or deceive it. There has been people on youtube who have had the lie detector some passed so me failed and some had to be retested because of errors. The things is what are you hiding? Before you anyone says your not hiding anything you are. It may be an innocent things that could be determined my the tester as a guilty thing. You shpould protect yourself from that and that alone.

  • i have one of these coming up. For a job im trying to get lol...fun.

  • what if the testers stick something in my ass to make certain I can't squeeze me bum ?

  • LOL I suggest you fuck them up if things are heading in that direction (excuse the pun)

  • Oh God...

  • I'm almost certain you can decline having something shoved up your ass...

  • Well you can refuse for some device to bestuck in your bum.

  • "Did you know Jane was a cerial thief before you had a sexual relationship with her?"

"No" (Thinking about the girlfriend I had before Jane)

Would this work to pass a relevant question?

  • Probably not. It's much harder to suppress reactions to relevant questions than it is to augment reactions to control questions, which is why the latter is the better countermeasure approach.

  • All you need to do is take a mild sedative. Don't take so much to where the tester knows you're on something, but just enough to keep your heart rate under control.

  • The polygraph machine does NOTHING. Forget the breathing and blood pressure nonsense. It's only used as an intimidation device. It depends upon the overall coerciveness of the setting and the coersive methods of the polygrapher. You beat the polygrapher and his "cold readings" which have nothing to do with the machine, pure and simple. George Maschke has NO CLUE what he is talking about.

  • can't you just answer the questions and say 'no' when you really mean yes and 'yes' when you really mean no? Just think no means yes and yes means no and your heart rate, bp, etc... shouldn't go up

  • You mean when he asks you :"Did you kill your wife?" you answer : "Yes" (DOH!!!)

    haahahaaaaa!

Seriously though, I think the sweating really is the hardest thing to control on a polygraph. Shame, guilt, embarassment, rage, fear...all the emotions that trigger the sweat glands (through adrenaline) are really tough to control unless you have great practice or you are a psychopath!

  • All cheaters about to appear on Maury! Watch this video!

  • isnt that the guy from hot fuzz?

  • yeah, it's nick frost

  • yeah, nick frost

  • I swear all you have to do is ask youself your own questions in your head when the guy asks you them!

Like "did you steal it?" you think "is the sky green?" and answer "no"

  • I came up with the same idea too!! We`re smart arent we lol

  • thats kinda hard when hes goin to be askin u relative and control questions, that might involve you sayin yes. so eventually your goin to have to listen to what he is sayin then translate it to what u want it to be. its best u do it how the man taught u 2.

  • From my experience is very stupid. I was very honest but I could not beat a poligraph test.

    Waisting time and $.

  • how can you be honest, but get caught?

  • Polygraph's dont' detect lies, they only detect body reactions to certain questions assuming it to be based on stress from guilt. If you wanna pass them, just make your body reactions stronger to the control questions rather than the relevant questions. Look it up.

  • look to the right of the video, get the link. and donload the book. it clearly states AGAINST anal tighten.

  • Way to go Ed. At least no one uses the "z" word. :P I do get a kick out of how they rely on polygraph tests on Maury and shows like it like they are fool proof.

  • A friend of mine used to work at a lie detector factory performing final product test. He said they used to precisely these technique to perform product testing.
