I love this. At my highscool we are playing it too! But only the fiddle dance part. I love the part us seconds get to play in 8 I think. The only thing I don't like about is that we have to play it smooth and together but I dont wanna lol. I don't really like the super speeding up on this video at the end

We just started this song three days ago and I'm in LOVE with it!!! We aren't as good as you all right now but it's cool to hear what it's supposed to sound like. VERY GOOD!!

our orchestra is playing this song now and it consists of seventh and eighth graders. so its really hard to play so far, but we're getting it. since im in first violins we have to shift alot! so i'm still tryin to get those parts right, considering that we've only had it for 2 weeks so far.

As a second violinist I'd have to say that this is one of my favorites but it was really hard to wrap my fingers around. It took me almost a whole year to get it.

As a comment about shifting the only position I've played in other than first is third and that's just to do C major scale. It's much easier to do the scale and arpeggio in third position.

Oh, sorry I don't remember the song, but it was the last movement right? I'm not taking music anymore because I want to do Spanish, but just practice it slowly, and gradually play it faster until you are up to tempo.

yeah, I am too, but I've played the second violin part. Personally I think its harder than the 1st besides the fact that the first goes up into 5th and the second stays in first postion pretty much the entire time.
