@w4csc I was looking forward so much to hear Angelo and Ludovic play at the Whidbey Island fest this year. When Angelo had to cancel because of tendonitis, I was very disappointed. I knew Ludovic was the best I ever heard on videos and recordings. From the moment I first saw him perform live, I was more amazed. Just effortless playing. I told him I knew his performances were going to be great, but after hearing and seeing him perform in person that he was truly a very gifted musician.

The main difference between a simple chromatic accordion and a bayan is that bayan has a single big reedplate for every set of reeds, when in accordions there is one reedplate for each reed.

The pickup is a Stimer. Django used one later in life. It's a single coil and very electric sounding, if you like that sort of thing. Angelo usually sounds more acoustic than that.
