  • sorceress.......

  • Diane Lane is still sexy actually... ;-)

  • ..but we're wery flexible.. lol

  • this song was song by laurie sargent in the movie but they put a different version on the soundtrack....the same with the song i can dream about u...in the movie it was sung by winston ford but a different version was on the album.....they never released the movie versions of either song which were the better versions .

  • anyone know how to to get this song to download it..

  • @scubadoo1238 download dvd videosoft it lets you convert all u tube videos to mp3 format

  • I believe this is Laurie Sargent singing this version (she's credited in the closing credits). Marilyn Martin sings it on the soundtrack album for whatever reason.

  • Marilyn Martin sings this.. Stevie Nicks wrote it and does backing (If I remember correctly)

  • I was a huge fan of this film when it orginally came out. Rumour has it that this version is actually Diane Lane singing. I'd love to see an anniversary version of this film with extras like the whole video of this. Stevie wrote it and was on Marilyn's version. Probably is on this one as well. I'd love to hear her do Nowhere fast.

  • @DoroWarrior Rumour is wrong she's not singing on any of the tracks. They are a mix of several diffrent voices

  • one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite movies. stevie nicks wrote it.

  • Someone out there has to track down this version...it's too good to end up being lost in the depths of time

  • Classic MTV style music video of it's day. Walter Hill did a good job in making this a cult classic.

  • ;)

  • I have find out this movie only now that I am 31 years old, it' s was an unforgivable mess because I am an 80's lover, but now I know. it's a very precious gift from Walter Hill

  • If only we could unearth this version as a download - this is quintessential late-night mix CD gold.

Saw it again recently for the first time in more than 20 years, and the art direction and look of this movie is phenomenal - so '80s and so '50s at the same time.

  • LOVE how he stops the bus!

  • soundtrack have a different intro,

  • She looks like such a cutie pie in that music video playing on the Tv. Too bad people walk past her...

    This is a 1:01-1:05

  • Love how that blonde actress had Stevie Nicks look down pat.

  • My DVD of this movie has the audio of this song a little different. Like the dong's at 0:12-0:22 are deeper and a little longer.

  • Stevie Nicks wrote this in the early '70s. She recorded it with Lindsey Buckingham and there are live versions and demos from that era as well. I think the reason the soundtrack doesn't feature the Fire, Inc. version is because Jimmy Iovine - who produced Stevie's first 3 solo albums - produced 5 songs on the soundtrack and he was helping launch Marilyn Martin's solo career. Stevie's bkgnd vocals on Martin's version saves the song. Stevie recorded it for her 2001 CD Trouble in Shangri-la.

  • @rickdunn101 Stevie's backing vocals save the song? I mean yes, it certainly adds that something special to it but I think most fans agree that this version of "Sorcerer" is the best. And despite the fact that the 2001 version is closer to the original demo, it just doesn't have that magic about it that the Marilyn Martin version does.

  • Why is this song not on the soundtrack album?????!

  • Diane Lane is soooo sexy in this movie!

  • @churlyryan is there a movie she is not sexy?:P

  • CDのピアノっぽいアレンジより、やっぱりこのアレンジが好きです。

    マイケル・パレ本当にかっこ良かったですね。何度でも見てしまいます。

  • This is a better version of the song. The BEST version is the original unreleased Buckingham Nicks bootleg version from the 70s.

  • yeah where can one download this version of the song?

  • Maybe the best song in the whole movie, in my opinion. Beautiful.

  • This version in the movie, is better than the one on the sound track. They should've put this one on the sound track instead !!!

  • @Chitown2701 I totally agree. What's the point in putting a different version on the soundtrack, anyway?

  • hallo besten dank dafür echt super von dir !! mfg stefan

  • I think there's no way to obtain this song version anywhere. The Sountrack CD includes the Marilyn Martin version, and this Youtube video is the only place on the net I've found the movie version.

  • anyone can tell me where i can find this music version to donwload?...i love this music...thanks

  • omg had forgotten about this film until an advert on tv tonite and then had to find this song on u tube - classic :-)

  • I love love love this movie...I was akid when it came out but I remember loving the music so much...

  • Still Like Stevie Nicks and Shery Crows version better than this.

  • I pretty much love this movie and every single song in it...the whole soundtrack was awesome. This song is amazing and beautiful.

  • One of the best songs ever used in a movie if not the best!

  • I grew up watching this movie as a little girl! Thanks to my mom's great taste it has still stuck with me! I love it!

  • Streets of Fire had one of the best soundtracks ever put out for a movie that was only so-so.

  • What can one say! Excellent movie and soundtrack. It will never get old for me. WOW WOW WOW!

  • I Search to years this single!!! :(

  • I have the orginal video and movie, it was a mix of stevie and two other artists according to the director

  • This song wasn't done by Fire Inc. It's Marilyn Martin.

  • This is THE BEST version of the song. It beats out Marilyn and Stevie's versions. Laurie wins.

  • @cyberjsc I one hundred percent agree... but i cant find that version anywhere? like the full version not on the movie...

  • @cyberjsc And you won't find it... It was STRICTLY for the movie and not put on cassette, cd, or record. I KNOW, IT SUCKS!

  • @cyberjsc

I have the DVD it was limited but out..

  • @cyberjsc it isd on the cassette i bought

  • I was only 11 when this movie came out. Loved Diane Lane as a rock goddes and the all cast. Streets of fire is sooo cheesy like most 80's movies but at the same time u can stop watching it. I wish they woulk make movies like that more often. it still gives me goosebumps, what more to say ;} simply awesome !!

  • i have loved this movies snd songs since i was a kid i bought every special cd rhat is out there i have the best vcr recording there is

  • This movie was the longest music video ever. It's too bad they spent 90% of their effort trying to make everything look so 80s stylish and only about 10% of their time on the story.

  • @Zoetrope77 80 ish ???? your out of our mind it was 50's tr

    y to keep up

  • Uh..no, the music and clothes and hair in this movie is definitely very 80s.....not 50s.

  • @beachrat8281 i was just gonna say the same.veerybody can see that this movie is taken place looong before the 80 came along

  • such a great beat for the into of this song

  • Best song in this awesome movie. Just a shame that the version on the soundtrack isn't as good.

  • can someone please tell me who is singing this ? Marilyn whomever who really does this song, is NOT the voice I want. dont like her version..even if she did sing it. too fast, not as sultry. havent heard the Stevie nicks version even tho it's hers. Is it Diane lane singing? it sounds so much better in the movie than anything I've heard online. Thanks

  • Laurie Sargent sings this version of the song, but on the soundtrack you can only find the version that is sung by Marilny Martin. This version is only in the movie.

  • @DigitalCobraEater I've never understood the idea of putting a total different version on the soundtrack. And way too often the soundtrack version is much worse than the movie version. Just like this one. Or that's at least what I think...

    This version rocks! <3

    (sorry for my bad English)

  • @CrystalWingedDragon: I've always wondered why they would do that also! It makes NO sense huh?

  • @Chrliesangelsman Yeah, tell me about it...

  • I love the clothes in this movie. So sexy.

  • strange and haunting the melody

    is beautiful

  • LO MEJOR ACTRIZ

  • Tankgangsta... you are out of your mind. I really enjoy stevie Nicks music but this version is much better then hers. The clarity and the balance and the crispness of the singers voice sounds much better. I love Stevie but her version sounds so raspy and plegm ridden as if se were smoking Newports and drinking all night.

  • I agree, the groove from this version if the song is the one I prefer. Stevie's has more of a country feel to it.

Wish I could find tabs for this song.

  • I was thinking I was the only person that liked this version better. I wish that I could buy it instead of the other.

  • the opening beat kick butt

  • Yeah, for once a Stevie Nicks song sounds better sung by someone else. I think the sense of drama of the chorus always got undercut by Stevie's normally appealing "bleating" vocals. A clear tone is needed for this track, and both movie versions are great.

  • SEXY!!!

  • I can`t find this version of Sorcerer. How can be possible that this song, which sings Laurie Sargent, can`t be found nowhere? Even in soundtrack they put Marylin`s version

  • Stevie Nicks song, I like this version alittle better

  • the best chica bonita

  • Bela atriz...belo fábula de rock and rool

  • this song never gets dated.

  • i'm only 18 and this is one of my all time favorite movies.

  • It's probable michal pare's favorite movie too.cause most of what he's doen after this crash&burned.

But theres talk about making a sequal with the orginal cast.look it up on imd . co,m

  • @MonaxLisaxx i'm only 15 and this is one of my all time favorite movies. O.o

  • breathtaking..

  • ya, i got it, is ALL LIKE.

  • Now why can't they make great songs this anymore. I love the whole sound track to Streets of Fire and the movie. Thanks for putting this out on YT. labelashavoc (:~>?=

  • I like this guitar-centric version best. The Road to Hell (sequel) is coming out very soon! Finally!

  • Comment removed

  • I love Diane's dress

  • Is that E. G. Daily?

  • Yes!

  • Sorry, you all wrong, Just watched the movie and the credits list Laurie Sargent as doing the vocals for "Sorcerer" with the band Fire, Inc. Marilyn Martin recorded the song on the Movie Soundtrack album. Holly Sherwood sung one of the other songs in the movie. Marilyn Martin does a great job, but Laurie Sargent did the original vocals on the movie with the band Fire, Inc.

  • With Steve Nicks ( the writer) singing backup!

  • With all due respect to the actual singer...THAT"S DIANE LANE on the screen!! Lovely!

  • the real voice is holly sherwod.

  • esta cancion me fascina, esta muy padre, muy relajante,y me encanta la voz, disculpen de casualidad no saben si la verdadera voz es de la vocalista de fleet good mac?

amo la peli y a diane lane

  • Sorcerer was sing by Maria Mc Kee

  • No, it was sung by Marilyn Martin

  • Wierd just finished watching this film was flicking through sky and spotted it was on and rembered this song and well pressed to watch it just as the song started most bizzare.

  • When I was younger, I remember having a huge crush on Diane Lane when I saw this movie on TV.

  • like everyone else ;)

  • lol jupp she was nailable back than.

  • Billy Fish was hilarious!

    I hated him.

    :D

  • haha im naked!!! a

  • This version is much better than the one on the soundtrack. Guitar, drums, vocals etc. Peak.

  • I actually prefer the Marilyn Martin one over this one or the Stevie Nicks version.

  • Don't get me wrong, but Diane Lane partly sang sorcerer.

  • This song was singed by Marilyn Martin in "Street of fire" but was written by Stevie Nicks.

  • Der Beste Song aus dem Film "Strassen in Flammen" für Mich immer noch

  • I love this song. I wish I had one of those machine to record my records to cd, I have the soundtrack on record. Do you have the one from the sound track? you sound post that one too.

  • you can buy the sundtrack "streets of fire" for few money.....

  • Holly Sherwood sang the 'two famous' songs from the movie sound track, "Nowhere Fast" and "Tonight is what it means to be young", under the fake band "Fire Inc." This song, however, is not being sung by Holly Sherwood. It was written by Stevie Nicks and is performed by Marilyn Martin, not Fire Inc. as the title suggests.

  • I did not know that. I always thought it sounded a little Fleetwood Mac-y or something by Stevie Nicks. Thanks for the tidbit :)

  • ACTUALLY, this song is sung by LAURIE SARGENT in this clip, who, along with Holly Sherwood, was part of Fire, Inc. - it was not sung by Marilyn Martin in the movie, but re-recorded by MM for the soundtrack only

  • Streets of Fire has an amazing soundtrack, start to finish.

  • @Pashdear But this song is not on it!

  • I whish i had the Tabs for this version of the song

  • Marilyn Martin sings on the soundtrack that is true the band is Stevie Nicks band and those are her back up singers on the song

  • Thanks for posting this! I've always wanted to hear this version!

  • I believe the credits in the movie say Sorcerer was sung by Laurie Sargent but the cd soundtrack is sung by Marilyn Martin. I like the movie version better.

  • Lauries Vocals are fantastic, timeless!!

  • Diane's so sexy in this movie. I just felt in love with her...

  • I agree. 110%!

  • sorry stevie their version is much better than yours.

  • I second that :)

  • me to

  • Their version is better than Stevie's? Your on crack right? Sheesh....Stevie wrote the fucking song you crack monkey. Her version with Sheryl Crow blows this one out of the water....lmao. Get a clue.

  • a quien escribio este video le digo(si me entiende) que lo felicito y le deseo lo mejor

  • This is incredible. One of mine favorite lyrics.

  • great movie, timeless sountrack, and diane lane, wow, the best!

  • My favourite song in the film. Too bad the version on the soundtrack is different to this!

  • Diane Lane was sooooo hot back in the day.....

  • demasiado!!! esta pelicula es la mejor

  • dla mnie odlot...

  • the original version is much better! but i love all the songs...and her great voice!

  • I take it this is from the 80s. Pretty good guitar, an acoustic string version.

Glad it doesn't have that synth sound of that time.

The version from a few years ago with Stevie better. The acoustic guitar works better.

  • I have the CD sondtrack, but this version i couldnt find...

  • Where i can find this music? (wma, mp3...)

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I love it!
