  • this is my favorite scene i think of all times!!!!

  • sigh...

  • Best scene ever!!!

  • And males are not like this today because????

  • The piano song that was previously played in this video is called "Liz on top of the world". The tune was first played while she was on the edge of the cliff.

  • what's the name of the song (piano)? pleaasee

  • what's the name of the song (piano)? pleaasee

  • i'm living in the wrong time period. I want this xD

  • If someone ever said that to me I would probably die on the spot -3

  • Uhmmmmmm like the best freaking scene EVERRRR omg. You have bewitched me body and soul <3 And I love, I love, I love you <3

  • O GOD....sooo romantic <3<3

  • U have bewitched me body & soul ♥

    And I love, I love, I love u ..

And wish from this day forth never 2 be parted from u

    ..

    When do I get 2 meet my " Mr. Darcy " ?! :'(

Movies, like this 1 here, make me enjoy studying English literature ♥

  • "You must know, surely you must know it was all for you." Omg love it! xD

  • and I love, I love....... I love you

  • It is so hard to find true love in our days!

All I need is a time machine!:)

  • Even though this movie is not bad... it is but a shorter version of the better original series of 6 episodes from 1996.

The series have gotten much better response from the audience than this one has and, I absolutely stand by my opinion when I, once again, objectively state that Pride & Prejudice from 1996 with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle is by far better than this and one of my favourite series/movies of all time. So honest, so gripping and so romantic.

  • We watched this in my Psychology class and right before Mr. Darcy told her the whole "You bewitched me body soul" part, my Psych teacher paused it, and said, "Ok, guys, take notes. This how you're gonna be able pick up chicks." She is obsessed with this movie. she has it on every mobile device she owns.

  • I want a Mr Darcy <3

  • The most majestic walk ever!

  • He.is.so.god.damn.sexy. I.love.him. He has bewitched me body and soul, and I love...I love....I LOVE HIM!! <3

  • hell ooooo Mr. Darcy! <3

  • Someone once asked me what her last quote meant. Well, the line: "Your hands are cold" was a codename for "I love you, too", or "yes, I do"..

OK. It was nice of Elizabeth. But the man is proffesing his love like never before, it is almost heartbreaking, and she says just: "Your hands are cold"?

I would rather say "I love you".

  • this is one of the best movies i have ever seen...the story, actres, this love and atenttion that is in beetwen lizzy and darcy...theyhave such a strong love ....it is amaizing....i just love it

  • This is possibly the best composition i have ever heard. Doesnt this music just make you want to melt?<3

  • I JUST LOVE HIM!!!! <3<3

  • I don't get the "your hands are cold".

  • @gathen00 Well, I think that she does it as a subtle way to say that her feelings for Mr. Darcy had changed.

On those times I believe, grabbing or holding a man's, I mean gentleman's hand without having a blood connection was a very bold move, unless they were married. So I think what she means by this is that she's accepting his proposal.

  • This man exudes masculinity as he's walking and yet humbleness when he declares her love. Quite opposite from the first time he did. I've seen this movie many times and continue to rewind this scene. I wished it didn't end right after. I want more Mr. Darcy please.

  • I want a Mr.Darcy

  • @nikkibabe231

    Don't we all! ;)

  • O filme mais lindo de todos os tempos...Love U Mr. Darcy

  • i hope you understand me reem

  • I love you, Mr. Darcy.

  • .....sigh.....

  • "You have bewitched me, body and soul.."

Damn it. I can never get over these lines. I keep on replaying it whenever I can. Am I mad?! :)) That line struck me so bad... No other line from any other movie left quite a big impression on me. Oh Mr. Darcy XD

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, I was watching TV, while changing channels I got this scene on it, I got a great impression of the scene ambient so I stopped to watch it... After all I came to youtube and just put the movie tittle (I wondered this scene would be the first result)... So here I am!

    Very beautiful...

  • did anyone else thing when seeing this that

Darcy has giant hands and head compared to lizzy?

  • You have bewitched me body and soul and I love.. I love.. I love you <3

  • ahhhh i've always been amazed that a shot of him just walking (in a long coat out of all things) is one of the most intensely powerful and romantic scenes i've ever seen

  • I love...I love....I love Mr. Darcy.

  • *sigh*

  • I'm a guy and I LOVE THIS MOVIE, its beautiful, romanantic and the script and acting are amazing. It's fantastic to have a Mr Darcy who is a little on the shy side but, with a great heart. Why can't real life be like this? Oh and Keria Knightiley is such a wonderful actress, I must say I do have a big crush on her ......

  • @Vedie2011 I think he's amazing - quite handsome

  • the height of romance!♥

  • the part where they are about to kiss with the sun (rise or set?) in between them... GENIUS!

  • watch the proper 1995 version folks

  • When I watched this for the first time, I was about 14 years, I always(!) understood "You are too generous to travel with me" and I was like "huh, what the hell...?"

  • Is it strange that whenever I watch this scene I find myself crying?

  • love this part....:(( cant stop my tears from coming :((

  • Fack. This makes me hate this era. "Sup, dude, so like, we should totally get married or whatever," compared to "you have bewitched me body and soul and I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on," is a sick comparison.

  • When he walks... It's just breathtaking. And his speech... Awh.

  • This scene is too beautiful for words.

  • ASPECT RATIO

  • God, best. proposal. ever. Geez! MARRY HIM, ELIZABETH! DO IT!

  • i really love the fact that they did not kiss in this scene, and despite that, one can still feel the intense chemistry and attraction between them through their looks and their use of words, which i think is much much more powerful.

it is an epic book and a wonderfully created movie. the world should be filled with men like mr. darcy... then maybe, we can have some hope of love...

  • @atlantisle Me too!!, about the not kissing part. there is an alternative ending though, where they do kiss. (American version) It's just weird and doesn't feel right. I like this ending soooooo much better.

  • WHAT. SWAG. :) <3

  • What you can do to make amends Mr. Darcy is to bend me over and take me!!! XD

  • It bewitched me body and soul..and I love love love this movie!!!!

  • 2:41 So beautiful !

  • 2:41 So beautiful !

  • Kiss Her Dude............

  • I love this movie like everyone else and of course this scene is wonderful but I so wish they hadn't given Kiera the perfect Vogue cosmetic make-up for this scene...I found it really distracting.....

  • I totally loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this movie. I can't help watching it.

  • I just love how the way he walks to her.<3

  • beautiful, romantic, sexy!!! I love Mr. Darcy ahhhh!

  • ...he took literally a whole minute to walk over to her...RUN DUDE!

  • I absolutely love this scene...! But what is wrong with Elizabeth? "your hands are cold"?! Seriously

  • I melt

  • I sooo wish I could go back in time

    and switch places with Elizabeth

  • ohhhh, no kiss :( this would be great :D

  • for a second she looks like catherine zeta-jones....very beautiful scene, definitely a favorite!!

  • xofreckledollxo. Totally agree!!!!

  • "well then... Your hands are cooooold!" lol!

  • Gentlemen,

    Take Notes.

    <3

  • @xofreckledollxo o believe me i had pen and paper in hand lol

  • @xofreckledollxo I am!

  • wow...10 people don't know what love is

  • ....I liked it......

  • @Macoronox Even though your comment is humorous, you must take into account that she was walking around in pitch dark before sunrise as well.

  • i love seeing this over and over....if only men in this day and age were like Mr. Darcy...one can wish

  • "You have bewitched me, body and soul" -favorite line of any movie, EVER. ♥

  • Him- "I love, i love.. i love you"

Me- *Knees buckle* "Ohhhhh.. I love you too" sighhh

  • @Macoronox your ignorance disgusts me.

  • Comment removed

  • @Macoronox lol moron

  • I love the way he says I love you. It's so cute!!! "I love, I love, I love you"

    *melts*

  • omg this scene always makes me weak in the knees...its like he walked a thousand miles just to tell her how he feels and his love for her is like so pure and innocent!~

  • @Macoronox TROLL!

  • can i get thumbs up for no shit?

  • Does this happen any more? Is there a man out there that will say this to me?? Please say yesssss

  • I dearly love this version of the movie. The 1995 was also fantastic, but I believe this version focuses more on the relationship between Elizabeth and Darcy.

  • (swoon) Mr. Darcy's Swagger

  • OH MY GOD WHY DON'T THESE THINGS HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE?!

  • @scorzi YES!!!! PLEASE!!!

  • I'm crying. I want a Mr. Darcy! Men these days just DON'T DO!

  • @KarliMarieRoberts i totally agree !

  • fresh i can feel the cold wind of the camp

  • "I love... I love... I love you."

    CANNOT EVEN HANDLE IT.

  • you have bewitched me, body and soul....best scene ever!

  • SWOON! ahhhhhhh

  • i think dr. darcey is a romantic....... i -3 it!

  • Thank You Dario Marianelli for these beautiful, magnificent, perfect, extraordinary magical piano pieces!! THANK YOU!

  • why can't men be more like Mr. Darcy in the world

  • @TheRattler2005 Why can't women be more like Keira Knightley?

  • @FAITHandLOGIC made me LOL

  • every time i reread this part in the book i just feel like the movie version is nicer. it is not better but both are good :D and i was quite surprised that i didn't like the BBC version since many people (if not all ;)) like it more than the movie. it just didn't feel romantic, maybe even forced. i think i will stay with the book and the movie :D oh and of course something that has to be said: Matthew for me is a wonderful Mr. Darcy, not perfect but absolutely charming and irresistible :D

  • Mr. Darcy waking through that field with that beautiful music stirred an emotion in me I can't describe. That's what made me want to make movies, it's too perfect :)

  • i dressed like that onces for a date and the girl asked me if we were going on a mission to mordor. ElossabetteRing, not good idea...

  • @MegaSuperdonk haha, sorry that happened to you-but I mean all men in general. This needs to come back into fashion. The Mr. Darcy or Mr. Knightley style. :)

  • i once took a test from facebook about which pride an prejudice character i am. I can't imagine the result. I was Mr. Darcy!!

  • The big mistake with this film is that the main character (Elizabeth Bennet) was miscast, meaning that she was far too young for that role, and so she says things that out of place for a woman of her age. Consequently, it is obvious that she was merely repeating words from a script. This totally ruined the film for me. I would urge anyone to watch the BBC version, which is far superior.

  • I absolutely love this scene; it is just so perfect!

  • This is one of my most favorite scenes of all time and I have watched A LOT of movies. So romantic.

  • Makes me cry, Everytime.

  • If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once. My affections and wishes have not changed, but one word from you will silence me forever. If, however, your feelings have changed, I will have to tell you: you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.

I would like to think that this storys were true

  • "If your feelings are still the same, tell me. My love and my wishes have not changed. But one word from you will silence me forever. However, if your feelings have changed, I must tell you that has haunted my body and my soul and I love him. I love him and love him. And nothing can separate me from you ... "

I would like to think that this storys were true

  • i know he is fictional, but O...M....G..!!!

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • One of my all-time favorite movies. Two wonderful actors accompanied by a great cast. The entire performance and production ensemble for this film was up to par excellence! It is part of my dvd collection.

  • Man he is a champ!!!!

  • Ooohhh love this movie it's so romantic , n specially this part -3

  • A legcsodálatosabb film az egész világon!!A könyvet is imádom ez a legjobb változat....

  • That voice. I could live for days off his voice.

  • strong words, gorgeous scenery, superb acting, touching music...

  • So much beauty in the scene, but what really does it for me is the quiet way he stutters "I love, love you" as he proposes. This a man used to self-control and order who has fallen in love with an independent, strong willed woman and who wants her just for what she is. How wonderful it is to see that.

  • Maybe it's because I'm semi-delusional from lack of sleep, but I understand 3/4 of the body language I didn't even notice before.

  • @abeautifulnightsky No you are absolutly correct, their but especially his body language is dialoge all in its self.....he is THE Mr. Darcy.

  • @abeautifulnightsky NO, you are absolutly correct and not just in this scene but throughout the movie, especailly Matthew......its almost a dialoge of its own.....he is super fantastic in this movie....love him.

  • @SandeeSnaps It was such a well done movie, not only in the writing, but in the acting!

  • I fell madly in love like that - once...beautifully done.

  • I can honestly just rewind and watch him walking towards her over and over. :) he causes a sigh. --men need to start dressing like this again.

  • @ElissabetteRing I agree! I love Mathew McFayden and yes, we need to start a new trend!!

  • @ElissabetteRing Amen. I hate a slob. Women need to start soaping up a little better, too. :)

  • @ElissabetteRing hahah indeed!

  • I can honestly just rewind and watch him walking towards her over and over. :) he causes a sigh.

  • @ElissabetteRing its the music that puts me over the edge....the slow build up and then this beautiful cressendo.......

  • @SandeeSnaps ....yes, me too. The first time I saw it my heart was racing as he walked toward her accompanied by the dramatic music..... I love it and i love this movie.

  • Thumbs up if you can't help watching this over and over :) !!!

  • @nktmp forever alone ;(

  • Best romance scene in modern day cinema.

  • I love this scene so much - sure it's nothing like P&P is meant to be...but in this scene who cares??

The music, his voice, his words...it's just so....so perfect. Makes me melt every time ;)

  • The music is so beatiful.

  • Gentlemen of the world, do not lose heart because you're not Mr. Darcy! Even he was awkward, rude, thoughtless, stubborn and condescending at the beginning of the story. But he redeemed himself by showing his love for Elizabeth by helping save her sister and family from social ruin, and standing up to his aunt on Elizabeth's behalf. Small gestures of thoughtfulness and kindness for others without the goal of personal gain, and making sincere efforts to right your wrongs, are the true lessons.

  • If a scene like this happened in my life, I would be terribly happy

  • The music gets me EVERY time

  • El hombre sin caballo o armadura o espada, practicamente desarmado, llega humilde, a los pies de su amada.

  • @badneoaldo

Que era tan hermosa. Usted tiene los ingredientes de un poeta.

  • @ladywithsence2007 Gracias!! :D

  • Unless I find a man like this I will never get married sigh*

  • @Nettles27 I concur.

  • @Nettles27 Me too, I know.

  • Mr Darcy, SERIOUSLY....you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.....Ok this movie is truly AMAZING! I'M IN LOVE!!!

  • SIGH, Mr. Darcy.... :)

  • The soundtrack is amazing. The mansions and the palaces are absolutely gorgeous. The story is one of a kind. The movie is perfect. The accent is beautiful and love story... unique! I just LOVE this movie!

  • I just like watching him walk across a feild. Is that crazy?

  • @PhantoMPhreeK92

I like watching him walk across the field too. The part that I like about it, before they start talking, is when he looks up and sees Elizabeth is there too.

  • @ladywithsence2007 It always felt like he was going there looking FOR her, that's what I love about this scene. lol.

  • A man in love, I guess.

  • Ohhhhhh I dream of watching the man I love walk towards like that...and say those words!! Love ..Love..Love you

  • I cry everytime I see this scene.

  • As with the majority, I admire Mr. Darcy too. He's the type of man I want to become. However, it seems that Elizabeth Bennet is being overlooked. Her strong will, her persona in the entire movie - which haters may look at as pride - makes her just as admirable as Mr. Darcy. I love them both!

  • anybody knows what is the name of song in the beginning?

  • @erkanat358 The song in this scene is called Your Hands Are Cold. The song lasts through the entire scene.
