Thanks for the advice. I am currently learning Korean and I agree with your analysis on how to learn another language. It helps me a lot by listen to Korean music, drama, and variety shows. That is actually how I learned english but I think it was easy back then because I was in middle schools and had no choice but to learn english since I was permanently migrating to the states.
I def. think you have a point about vocab. Getting vocab in (vocab that is relevant and fun to your personal situation) is so much more important than grammar. I try to do about a 70/30 ratio. 70% new and reviewed vocab/30% learning new grammar and reviewing old grammar.

Btw, I think your absolutely right about the way a person is
best off learning Japanese, and you really give a clear explanation by being blunt about how you think it should be. Keep doing your thing!
