@92NordicQueen, I see why you might find this version a tad fast, but in truth, the score is written in 6-8 time, which I perfer to hear as two big beats per bar and not two sets of three beats. Many people do it at a slower tempo, but notice that at 2:30 the text "Sicut erat in principio..." (2nd half of the Doxology) hangs together logically at this pace. I agree with you that Ms. Piau does a very fine job, and I've learned that she is respected by Early Music fans.
Lovely. So good to hear the joy and spirit of the piece. Much better than the self-indulgent, slow, boring interpretations. Mozart wrote this early. My guess is he'd like this level of energy, still sacred, but elated. Great stuff. :) (It's how I do it with choirs)
