Really interesting videos! I don't shoot as I live in Britain, where it's illegal to hold anything other than a shotgun or a hunting rifle. And it's hard to get a license for those. Almost needless to say, since the gun laws were tightened, deaths by shooting have increased.
really? that's interesting because some guy from Austria said that gun laws were effective in their country and so is socialism. i'm just curious. how do most of the british view socialism?
You talking about the people that live close by? If so , no they never do cause they shoot from time to time also ( Not as much as me but you get the idea )
Don't get me wrong cause I have had the police come to the house a few times because shooting but it always comes from some stuck up family that lives like 3-4 houses down calling the cops.
The cops know I'm not breaking no laws , so when they stop by I simply shoot the shit with them for a little bit and they leave.
I had a silly ? I have a browning hi power .40, I've put 800 rounds +/- through it but, NEVER ONE HANDED! What should I do to break this fear/nervousness? A recommended grip? Or just point and shoot pussy! I watched your other vid and you did alot of things with your free hand, I see how this would be important except mine is always on my gun, thus slowing my mobility or ability to reach cover reload quickly, etc. You have been very helpful thus far so whatever you can offer is appreciated.
Just go out and do it lol. If you've shot 800 rounds through it then you should be able to handle it one-handed just fine. I even shot my AR one handed once, no trouble and I'm not that strong. Of course two-handed is always better because it's more stable and therefore more accurate.
This "thank you" comes from far away. From Costa Rica. Here. sad to say Criminality has been increasing and the worst. There are no good academies where we decent people can go and get some training about how to shot and get to know at least the basic of point shooting for example. Thank you dude and greetings from Costa Rica
I don't know what your old filming style was like. I suppose I can look to compare, but I wanted to say I like this video. Seems very well composed. Every bit as good as some professional shows on TV. The sound quality is the only thing I'd like to see improved, or do you just have some chew going? If it is chew, you could add a big spit as part of the commentary as a sort of "tag line". To build your character ya know? Like the others, it makes me want to get out for some trigger time.
You always get me so pumped up to shoot! Great technique and information. Too bad its well below freezing :( not going to be able to enjoy my new rifle for quite some time. Hope you got heat in your work room this winter, cant wait for new material!
Ya its pretty cold here also , I think we even have a small snow storm coming in here in a few days but for me I just put on some cold weather gear I'm ready to go out to the range ( Shooting in 2 feet of snow comes with living in Michigan lol )
I'm a professional videographer and I see what you're trying to do by turning into your transitions vs. dissolves for every transition. In larger areas with different backgrounds, it works great.
If you're looking for different ways to transition, maybe tighter shots of what you're talking about that don't show you talking, so you can go from one shot to the next with no "jump cut". (for example, the paper plates, or a tight shot of the gun being drawn from the holster) Keep up the good work!
hey man im a sound engineer if you need any advice let me know, i recommend you try the lavalier type mic it will help you with the wind problem that takes out that audio quality, by the way do you know anything about sniper rifles? specially how to use scopes and stuff like that thanks
not just the video is great, also camera and angle effect, man you can now film a movie, just kidin, man I will never wonder why lots of people watch your video, its cool!!!
yea, I have had my eye on a glock 19 for awhile, but I rather carry a .45 (perferably sig p220) with the trigger weight down just a tad. I owned a ruger p95pr and it was chambered in 9mm, it shot well, but not to my taste for a "full" size service sidearm. But there is just something about a wheel gun that I love.. maybe its the movies that got me or the comftorable ankle holsters =P
hey, just wondering, I've noticed you like to carry the 9mm round alot more then any other. Personally right now I only own a model 637 .38 smith and wes.. I love it, I feel comftorable and its easily carried on me without anyone knowing. But for a semi auto, I prefer a more potent round (more or less when its my only weapon). Do you not care for the 40 cal and 45 cal rounds, or whats that deal man! lol great videos btw, you have great technique. (get a 637 revolver bud, you won't regret.)
You whell gun guys lol ( JK ) Well to tell you the truth man I like the 9mm over most calibers simply cause I can shoot it alot more ( Due to ammo prices ) and its the round I use in competition.
I also think that bullet technology has made the 9mm round good enough for self defence ( I myself carry a Glock 26 99% of the time ) So I trust the round with my life.
PS: I have tried afew wheel guns ( J-frame , UL , UT .... ) but I don't really care for them ( Sorry man ) more of a Auto fan.
all your videos are really professional and easily understood....i really hope you can get a gig somewhere (if you dont already) teaching others. i would take classes from you.....keep it up mang!!
Hey man, just subscribed and have been checking out your vid's, pretty cool, your very informative on techniques, they're all cool to watch, I like this one in particular, the music gives me a chuckle, but individuality is what makes your vid's cool to watch, keep it up!
There's not too much that can be done with the condenser mics on camcorders about wind noise. But most have an auxiliary mic input that you can use a directional mic with a windscreen.
That being said, I had no problem hearing and understanding you.
hey ive watched a few of ur videos now and i think there all great. i would love to have a gun collection similar to yours but i live in australia and i think the gun laws are alot more strict over here. i have no idea of how to find out where would b a good place to look?
I'm not sure man here in USA we just go to are local firearm store but I'm sure its about the same for Austrailia but maybe your laws will be alot Harder to get some types of Firearms.
This video was very good man. Keep it up. It's nice to see detailed in room gun explanations. And this outdoor tutorial is nice too. Good job. oh ya.. either talk louder or where a mic. Hard to hear sometimes. But great instruction though.
I like the intro but i think when you are talking outside the wind makes it harder to hear what you are saying. Maybe talk inside showing the techniques then show us on your your range
Well done again, lots of valuable info for the newbie like me. Man, with you knowledge, skill and awesome teaching ability and the right producer you could make some great teaching DVDs. You know there are whole websites that charge for this valuable information.
Well it would be my dream job to get payed for making these clips but no matter if I got payed or not I would still want them to be free for everyone to watch.
I learn in IDPA classifier to spread by base, go low/aggressive stance, and always heel-toe, heel-toe (awkward duck-like walk, but stable as heck). I found a cheap way to train is holding a cup full of water down the office hall....be sure to have good explanation for curious coworkers =)
I like the Winchester vids since shotguns are more common (and often recommended) for home use, as well as good for hunting, so it's nice to see those mixed in. Plus, my state doesn't have concealed-carry anyway. It does have open-carry, but that's a quick way to get unwanted attention. ;)
If you do competitions, I'm surprised there aren't any of those vids on here, even just one for an overview type of thing. Would likely need a local buddy to play cameraman for the day, though.
Yeah, the different POV edits aren't necessary but can add interest, and if it makes the videos more fun for you to make, then there you go.
If the information is good, most people will watch no matter how you shoot or edit since (most of) these vids aren't really for people who just want to see jumpcuts of cool guns blowing stuff up -- you know, like most of the other gun videos on youtube are.
I like the new style of the video. The transition (turning/switch into another view) is cool, but you may not want to do that in every scene and incorporate your older style. The explanation first and demonstration second is how i learn. That vid could've have been an easy 10 minute explanation...cant wait for the others.
i think this is an excellent vid, im looking forward to purchasing a handgun next month so i will definetely be taking some of your shooting advice. thanks.
Awesome Video My Friend!!!! I think it was totally coooooooooooooooooool! I'm wondering how you got rid of the snow? lol Another excellent vid plus the step back and draw was excellent I never thought much about that!
Personally, I think your old style was good. There was definatly more action and mixed in with the talk, which I think was great. Make a point, then show an example, WELL DONE! Your back to the camera, then turning it and doing the different angles was a litte over the top, but the increased examples was GREAT. Can't wait to see the next video!
I really like the new style of this video. Keep up the good work. Also what are your feelings on Fobus or Kydex holsters as far as wear to the firearms? Thanks man.
Yeah man walking backwards while keeping your sight picture is complicated. I see why those guys are the best competition shooters, that shit is hard to do.
hey man Ive been watching your stuff for a while now and i really like the new camera techniques keep up the good work and I look forward to future videos.
dude good shit ive been watching for awhile now and by far this is the best vid!!! the camera spin/switch view thing is great!! cant wait to see more!!
Ya there's a few Diffrent ways I didn't cover ( side-step , 2 step .... ) just trying to cover a few basic's.
And yes its always great to keep the weak hand pulled into your chest ( Don't want to sweap that hand )and I plan on covering alot on that in a up coming CCW clip.
Well done! I think the filming was great and the info being filmed was better. What I do here at my house(when my parents don't mind) is I staple up some paper plates of different sizes up on tree branches from a brush pile or something, and a few on my backstop and I practice shooting on the move by moving until the back of the plate is totally covered by my backstop, engaging it, then repeating the process on the next plates. That seems to be the best for a small range like mine. Great video!
I agree that the videos covering ccw and practical self defense are my favorites. The sound is a little scratchy for me, but it might be my sound card. Great video, keep it up
(Thanks man) Thats the best thing about soundtrack tunes no matter if you like rap , rock , country..... there's a good chance you know and like a soundtrack tune.
nice vid! as for the style of shooting i think i like the this style better but you shouldn't stop doing the other one just switch it up from time to time
Great vid and the style was fine ...personally I watch it for the information which is very helpful I will be trying these tips .thanks

Im giving it a 5 outta 5. It was very straight forward and easy to follow. Any chance of doing rifle and/or shotgun versions after the CCW?
RavenThunder 3 years ago
Ya I'll see if I can do a few self defence tips clip for both the rifle & Shotgun.
kickedintheballs2000 3 years ago
Great stuff, and thanx for the pointers. A pure 5/5 here. Looking foreward to more...

I really like the new style of this video. Keep up the good work. Also what are your feelings on Fobus or Kydex holsters as far as wear to the firearms? Thanks man.
dupree187 3 years ago
Well I have a fobus for my 92 and I don't see any wear marks on the firearm but keep in mind I don't shoot my 92 thats much.
I use cheap uncle mikes holsters just about everytime I shoot and I see little if any wear on the firearm from the holster.
kickedintheballs2000 3 years ago
i like the new way,no offence but the old way was kinda boreing.thanks for all the tips and keep up the good work.
redneckbigboy01 3 years ago
Its cool man No offence taken Thats why I'm trying to mix it up.
kickedintheballs2000 3 years ago
Yeah man walking backwards while keeping your sight picture is complicated. I see why those guys are the best competition shooters, that shit is hard to do.

kickedintheballs2000 3 years ago

gotworkz 3 years ago
Ya I'm still using the Window movie maker.
I think my computers about to take a shit and I didn't want to put a bunch of new info in it and mess it up even more.
But I'm starting to save some cash for a New one.
kickedintheballs2000 3 years ago
I also use windows movie maker for my videos.
It simple and practical - its all i need.

I shuffle-step backward so I don't cross my feet and trip.
When I do that close-in drill I practice putting my non-gun hand on my chest at first so I don't unconsciously leave it in front of the barrel.
Great video. The cut-shots and resets are a good effect. I'd do it that way. It looked really good.
foley15136 3 years ago
Ya there's a few Diffrent ways I didn't cover ( side-step , 2 step .... ) just trying to cover a few basic's.
And yes its always great to keep the weak hand pulled into your chest ( Don't want to sweap that hand )and I plan on covering alot on that in a up coming CCW clip.
Thanks for looking out man
kickedintheballs2000 3 years ago
when walking backwards, is it better to lift your feet off the ground or drag then along the floor?
2mia0mi9 3 years ago
Well some people say do kind a Moon walk trying to keep your weight on the balls of your feet when moving back.
kickedintheballs2000 3 years ago
Great video!
kussoff1 3 years ago
Ya small ranges can be alittle hard to shoot around but still better then driving 30 miles to go to some public range.
kickedintheballs2000 3 years ago
I agree that the videos covering ccw and practical self defense are my favorites. The sound is a little scratchy for me, but it might be my sound card. Great video, keep it up
storm1776 3 years ago
No its my sound off the little shitty Camara Mic.

kickedintheballs2000 3 years ago
