i have been eating collard wraps for about a month now and find it to be a nice snack. i use a sauce i made with tomatoes, plums, lemon, garlic and herbs and dip the wrap in the sauce. it is great.
Great job man! Good to see you're moving forward and trying high-raw.... I caught your "block of vegan cheeze video" a while back and have made several. Great every time, especially in wraps! Ya still need a little cheeze now and then on a raw diet eh? peace!
I just started raw and watched all your vids ... dude you lost some weight! Im gonna try that collard wrap with maybe a little olive oil, lime and garlic sprinkled for more flavor. Anyway - great vids.
are raw foods better for you than cooked foods? (I should think not...). Cooking your food removes the diseases; why would you choose to put your life at risk?.... sorry, i'm really ignorant about healthy food :(
i am vegan and would love to at least be 50% raw but it seems expensive and difficult because every recipe i find calls for all sorts of nuts and stuff...however a wrap like what you just made wouldn't be expensive or hard at all...i might try that...thanks for all the videos you post!
I know exactly what you mean! I've decided to limit myself on buying more raw recipe books because all the best recipes I've found have been on the internet!
Hey Matt! Right on, way to go, man! Hey, shoot me your email address and I'll send you the Raw Food Starter Kit I made for my friends a while back....It should help you out too. Congratulations on your first wrap, keep me updated!

do you use any sea salts or anything? highly mineralized stuff, I like the pink himalayian
and dulse.... mmmm dulse on everything
theskinnypig 3 years ago
Heck yes! I use sea salt. I haven't try Himalayan yet, but I know a place I can get some.
I have dulse, I tried using it in a mock tuna pate and used way too much.

sometimes its easier if you cut the stem out of the collard green.. cheers!
jayseecb1 3 years ago
I tried trimming the stem on the big one. I think the stem ended up tearing out, anyway.

I think you're thinking of raw animal products. I'm talking about a raw vegan diet. Raw food is the healthiest food.
BTW, I'm not raw... just dipping my feet in the raw food pool right now. I hope to be "high raw" by 2010.

It just makes sense...for people and the EARTH, TOO...thank you for sharing your journey.

I agree, it really does make sense. Nature gives us what we need.
I'm not high raw yet, but once I learn more easy recipes it won't be long.
